A questionnaire survey on awareness of child health management was conducted in 238 family members ( 236 were parents) of children aged 0 - 36 months; among whom 92 of children aged 0 to 6 months,85 of children aged 7 to 12 months,33 of children aged 13 to 18 months,16 of children aged 19 to 24 months and 12 of children aged 24 to 36 months.52.1％ of the surveyees had college education level.The awareness about medical examination in last half year in female subjects was higher than males ( P ＜ 0.05).There were no differences in other health management knowledge.The results showed that the average times of medical examination was 2.8 ± 1.9 in last half year; the age for supplement of meat in food was 7.4 ± 2.4 mouths; supplement of meat,animal liver and eggs was more than 7 time a week.The subjects with college education or above paid more attention to the children's growth,risk for rickets and anemia than other peoples.Pure breast feeding accounted for only 37.0％ (88/238).The study indicates that strengthening the knowledge and awareness is necessary to improve the children health management.

Objective To research the therapeutic effect of vitamin E in prevention and treatment of anemia in premature children.Methods We investigated 90 cases of premature children admitted to the neonatal ward of our hospital from December 2010 to December 2011.According to hospital successively order these premature were randomly divided into control group (Group A),high-dose group (Group B),low-dose group (Group A).Group A including 30 cases,subcutaneous injection of erythropoietin(EPO) from the 7th days after admission,750IU/kg weekly for 3 times,for 4 weeks.At the same time,plus iron 6mg/(kg·d).On the basis of the above-mentioned control treatment,oral administration of different doses of vitamin E was in the treatment group,for 4 weeks.Group B including 30 cases was given vitamin E 15mg/(kg·d).Group C including 30 cases was given vitamin E 2.5mg/(kg· d).The changes of each group during the treatment in hematocrit (Hct),hemoglobin(Hb),red blood cell(RBC),reticulocyte(Ret) and the changes of serum concentrations of vitamin E before and after treatment were observed.Results Hct,Hb,RBC,Ret in group B,group C patients were both improved.The improvement of the indicators was better than that of group A (P ＜ 0.05).There was no significant difference between the improvement of each index of Group B and Group C(P ＞ 0.05).Serum concentrations of vitamin E after treatment in group B and group C patients were significantly higher and the difference was statistically significant(P ＜ 0.05).Serum concentration of vitamin E in group A didn't increase obviously.Conclusion Additional small doses of VitE should be given during EPO prevention of anemia in premature children.

Objective To evaluate the safety of dynamic anterior plate fixation for cervical distractive flexion injuries and compare its rigidity between different types of plate design. Methods Twelve sets of cadaveric calf spine were used in this test. All the specimens were made into distractive flexion injury models (C4-C5) ac- cording to Allen's method. After discectomy and grafting, they were randomized into three groups in which Orion, Codman, and Window instrumentations were used respectively. The stiffness of each construct was tested in flexion, extension, lateral bending and axial torsion conditions sequentially. Results Compared with an intact cervical spine, the range of motion (ROM) of an injured cervical spine increased whatever plate was applied. Orion in- strumentation presented stiffness the closest to that of the normal control, except for less torsional stiffness. Codman instrumentation provided stiffness close to that for normal and Orion groups only in lateral bending. Window's was the weakest mad not enough in all kinds of movement. Conclusions Static anterior fixation is the first choice for cervical injuries. Dynamic plate fixation may sacrifice stiffness to some extent, especially when a shifting kind of design is to be chosen.

Objective To explore the expressions of Survivin and VEGF and relationship between them in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Methods The expressions of Survivin protein and VEGF protein in 50 HCC.30 cirrhosis and 10 normal tissues were assessed by immunohistochemical method.The expressions of Survivin mRNA and VEGF mRNA in 50 HCC,30 cirrhosis and 10 normal tissues were assessed by in situ hybridization.Results The expressions of Survivin and VEGF in cancer tissues,cirrhosis tissues,normal tissues weresignificantly different. The expression of Survivin in HCC tissues was stronger than that in cirrhosis,but the expreesion of VEGF in cirrho- sis was stronger than that in HCC tissues.Conclusion The expression of survivin.is closely associated with the ex- pression of VEGF in HCC and they take positive correlation.The abnormal expressions of Survivin and VEGF are closely associated with the development of HCC.They may play important roles in the development of HCC.
