Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2004;0(11):-
Objective To assess the clinical significance of antibodies against cyclic citrullinated peptide(anti - CCP) in a cohort of patients with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA). Methods The anti - CCP was tested by an enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) in serum samples from 22 patients with JIA(9 boys, 13 girls), with a mean age of 9.1 years(range 1.1 - 16). As control groups, anti - CCP were also tested in sera of 20 healthy children, and 30 adult patients with rheumatoid arthritis(RA). Results Positive anti - CCP were found in sera of 2 patients with JIA(9.1 %), both with lower titre comparing with those of adult patients with anti - CCP positive. In the control groups, none of healthy children was positive for anti - CCP, but 16/30(53. 3%) adults with RA showed anti - CCP positivity. Conclusion Anti - CCP can be detected in children with JIA, but are less frequently present than in adults with RA, so anti - CCP has limited diagnostic value to JIA.

Objective To explore the expression and significance of let-7a2 in lung adenocarcinoma. Methods To adapt technology of realtime PCR with reference of U6, the expression of let-7a2 in tumor tissues and normal tissues was detected in 15 cases of resected lung adenocarcinoma. The laboratorial data were analysed by measure of 2~(-△△CT) method. The analysed data were managed by statistics. Results The expression of let-7a2 in lung adenocarcinoma tissue was significantly lower than that in lung normal tissue (0.8733±0.4821 vs 2.4527±1.0111). This difference possess markedness significance(t=6.816, P<0.001).Conclusion The expression of let-7a2 in lung adenocarcinoma is obviously lower and is concerned with the course of lung cancer evolution.

Older people generally had low health literacy, age related cognition decline and some even progress into dementia, burden on society was aggravating. Cognition decline of the elderly could lead to the decrease of health literacy. Meanwhile, higher level of health literacy was a protective factor against cognition decline in the elderly. This paper aimed to explore the relationship between health literacy and cognitive function in the elderly population without dementia, and to provide a theoretical basis for improving the health literacy and cognitive function of the elderly.

Objective To analyze implementation outcomes of the new health reform policy at a provincial hospital for the past six months. Methods Trend analysis, factor analysis and ratio analysis approaches were used in monthly surveillance, along with comparative study of the data before and after the reform,to probe into impacts of the new policy on hospital operations. Results Medical income increased by 22.09%,mainly contributed by volume growth (22.28%) of medical services; Medical income dropped by 0.16% due to pricing policy factors; medicine proportion deceased by 4.84%; following the reform, the income per outpatient and inpatient increased by 12.32% and 5.35% respectively. Conclusion Following the drug zero profit policy and rise of the charging standards for medical treatment service at the hospital, the growth of total income mainly comes from growing volume of medical services instead of pricing policy factors. The new health reform is conducive to optimizing the hospital's income structure and raising value to doctors' technical service.

Chinese Journal of Hypertension 2007;0(03):-
Objective To investigate the molecular mechanisms for the development of cardiac hypertrophy in hypertension, the present study provided the differential protein expression analysis of hypertrophied heart at differ- ent stages in spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR).Methods The profiles of protein expression of left ventricu lar myocardium in SHR and its normotensive control Wistar-Kyoto (WKY) rats at the age of 4 and 20 weeks were analyzed with two-dimensional gel electrophoresis (2-DE) in combination with matrix assisted laser desorption ioniza- tion-time of flight (MALDI-TOF-TOF) mass spectrometry. Results Although the blood pressure of SHR was normal at 4 weeks age, hypertrophy of the left ventricle had already developed. The expression pattern in the hy- pertrophic myocardium was found 27 modulated proteins,20 of which were identified. These proteins are involved in reactions of energy metabolism, mitoehondrial oxidative phosphorylation and oxidative stress, etc. The expres- sion of 13 proteins was significantly changed in SHR rats at early stage prior to the development of sustained hyper- tension, while the expression changes of other 7 proteins occurred only at late stage in SHR rats when the blood pressure was significantly elevated. Conclusions lncrease in glycolysis and decrease in oxidation of fatty acid and glucose was shown in the hypertrophied myocardium from early stage in SHR prior to the development of hyperten sion. The significant changes in protein expression of the mitochondrial electron transport chain and antioxidative molecules support the hypothesis that oxidative stress promotes and accelerates the development of hypertensive car- diac hypertrophy.

To explore novel coumarin derivatives with more potent anti-proliferative activity, a series of novel compounds were designed and synthesized by linking Schiff base and N, N-bis (2-chloroethyl) amine pharmacophore of nitrogen mustards to the coumarin's framework. Their structures were confirmed by 1H NMR, MS and element analysis techniques. In vitro anti-proliferative activities were evaluated against HepG2, DU145 and MCF7 cell lines by the standard MTT assay. The results showed that some of the target compounds exhibited strong anti-proliferative activities against selected tumor cells, and compounds 7c, 7f, 7g, 7h and 7q were better than or equal to the activities of positive control, they deserved further development.
