Objective To evaluate the effect of peer educatio n program by the application of the peer education on human immunodeficiency vir us/aeguired immune deficiency syndrome(HIV/AIDS) prevention and the analysis of the change on knowledge, attitude and behavior about HIV/AIDS among technical sc hool students in Shanghai. Methods Three technical schools in Shanghai were selected randomly. Two classes of each school were selected randomly as education group and the students added up to 284.Two hundred and sixty-one students of another 2 classes in each school were selected as the interior control group. Some freshmen came from medical un iversity were carefully trained as peer educators to conduct the education inclu ding 6 models. The same questionnaires were carried before and after the educati on in both groups. Results After peer education the score of average knowledge abo ut reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, STD was significantly higher than before (P 0.05). Conclusions The conduction of the peer education on HIV/AIDS pr evention among technical school students is effective in promoting the knowledge level,but the change of attitude and behavior is a long term. So we highly adv ocate that not only the health education for HIV/AIDS especially safe sex shall be given and strengthened among technical school students in order to promote t he notion of self-protection but also the conception of care others especially t he HIV/AIDS. To observe the regulative effect of applying garlic cream on acupoint Shenque (CV8) on circadian rhythm disorder induced by sleep deprivation.Methods:Twenty healthy adult men were randomly divided into normal group(group A),sleep deprivation group (group B) and treatment group (group C).Subjects in group B and C received 48-hour sleep deprivation,and in the meantime subjects in group C were treated by applying garlic cream on acupoint Shenque(CV8),while subjects in group A received no any treatment,then contents of serum noradrenaline (NA) and 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) were detected.Results:The contents of NA in three groups all appeared typical circadian rhythm(P＜0.01 when group A is compared with group C,and P＜0.05 when group A is compared with group B).The peak value in group A was 158.377 and appeared at 10:56,peak value in group B was 291.529 and appeared at 19:44,peak value in group C was 255.964 and appeared at 17:06.The peak phase in group B shifted more obviously when compared with group A,and the peak phase in group C recovered slightly when compared with group B.The contents of 5-HT in group A showed typical circadian rhythm (P＜0.01) and the circadian rhythms in group B and C disappeared (P＞0.05).the peak value in group A was 196.563 and appeared at about13:10.Conclusion:The application of garlic cream on acupoint Shenque (CV8) Can adjust the disturbed circadian rhythm and accelerate the recovery of circadian rhythm.It is a simple and effective therapeutic method for adjusting circadian rhythm disorder.

Objective To observe clinical efficacy of Qilin Pills combined with Three-Spot Caressing in the treatment of acquired non-consolidated kidney qi premature ejaculation (PE). Methods Totally 129 acquired non-consolidated kidney qi PE patients were randomly divided into TCM group, Fangzhognshu group and combination group. TCM group was given Qilin Pills, 6 g each time, three times a day, orally. Fangzhognshu group was guided to conduct Three-spot Caressing during sexual intercourse, no less than twice a week. Combination group was given Qilin Pills and Three-spot Caressing with the same method as Fangzhognshu group. The treatment course for each group lasted for 8 weeks. Before and after treatment of 4 weeks, 8 weeks and 4 weeks after with drawal, the intravaginal ejaculatory latency time (IELT), Chinese Index of Sexual Function for Premature Ejaculation-5 (PECI-5) scores and TCM syndrome scores (TCMS) were compared. Results Compared with before treatment, IELT increased in three groups at different time points after treatment (P<0.05). In the combination group, IELT was superior to the other two groups (except for TCM group after 4-week treatment), with statistical significance (P<0.05). Compared with before treatment, PECI-5 scores improved in three groups (except for Q6 and Q7 in Fangzhongshu group after 4-week treatment) at different time point after treatment (P<0.05). The improvement of Q5, Q6 and Q7 scores in PECI-5 of combination group was significantly better than that in the other two groups at 8-week treatment and 4-week after treatment (P<0.05). Compared with before treatment, TCMS in TCM group and combination group were improved significantly (P<0.05), PE and loss of libido score improved significantly in Fangzhongshu group (P<0.05);mental malaise and move spontaneous perspiration were significantly improved at 8-week treatment and 4 weeks after treatment (P<0.05). The improvement in TCMS was significantly better in combination group than that in the other two groups at 8-week treatment and 4 weeks after treatment (P<0.05). Conclusion Qilin Pills combined with Three-Spot Caressing has definite and long-term efficay for the treatment of acquired non-consolidated kidney qi PE.

Objective To analyze the efficacy of electric sacral neuromdulation and resiniferatoxin in patients with female overactive bladder.Methods 32 cases with IOAB female patients accepted percutaneous test sitmulation of the electric sacral nerves at S3 ,and treated by intravesical instillation with 100ml of 100nmol/L RTX.The effica- cy of voiding status were evaluated.The improvement of female patients life were evaluated comparing the rating of depression and anxiety.Results There were significant improvements in 32 cases in variables included the number of voiding,volume voided and signs every day and urgent uresis.In the rating of depression and anxiety,the patients improved a litter and still had stimulating symptom in urethra and bladder.Conclusion The treatment of IOAB with single administratoon of electric sacral neuromdulation and resiniferatoxin is effective,and can successfully im- prove the symptom with little side effects.

Objective To investigate the effects of Wuzhi capsules on tacrolimus concentration in heart transplant recipients and provide evidence for individualized dose optimization of tacrolimus.Methods Forty heart transplant recipients receiving Wuzhi capsules were enrolled in this study.Tacrolimus trough concentration was compared before and after coadminstration of Wuzhicapsules.Furthermore,polymorphisms of CYP3A4 * 1G and CYP3A5 * 3 were also detected to clarify correlations between genotypes and effects of Wuzhi capsule.Results Dose-normalized concentration of tacrolimus after coadministartion with Wuzhi capsules was 2.02-fold higher than before,the results of which was not associated with CYP3A4 * 1G and CYP3A5 * 3 genotypes.Wuzhi capsule could significantly decrease the total bilimbin (T-BiL),but not other hepatic and renal function.Conclusion Dose-normalized concentration of tacrolimus in heart transplant recipients is remarkably increased by Wuzhi capsule.The elevated trough levels rarely result in hepatic and renal toxicity.Wuzhi capsule is a safe,effective,and stable drug to increase the trough concentration of tacrolimus.

Objective To develop and validate a simple and reliable HPLC method for the analysis of L-carnitine in human seminal plasma and to investigate its clinical significance as a potentially useful index of infertile.Methods After proteins in seminal plasma are precipitated with acetonitrile,L-carnitine in seminal plasma was derivatized to form its ester.HPLC separation of the sample solution was performed on a Lichrospher SiO_2 column and detected by ultraviolet absorbance at 260 nm.A mobile phase composed of acetonitrile-citrie acid buffer(containing 12 mmol/L triethanolamine,pH 5.0)was found to be the most suitable for this separation at a flow rate of 1.2 ml/min and enabled the baseline separation of the L-carnitine from interferences with isocratic elution.The L-carnitine levels in seminal plasma were studied in both 87 patients with infertility and 30 control subjects.Results Under the chromatographic conditions described, the L-carnitine derivative had a retention time of approximately 13 min.Good separation and detectability of L-carnitine in human seminal plasma sample were obtained.The method proved to be linear in the range of L-carnitine from 0 ?mol/L to 1000 ?mol/L.The relative standard deviations of within-and between-assay for L-carnitine analysis were 1.23% and 1.36%,respectively.The recoveries were 91.6% -96.5% for the human seminal plasma samples.L-carnitine concentrations in the populations were(392.7?107.2)?mol/L in the fertile group(n=30),(270.0?83.9)?mol/L in asthenozoospermia group(n=29),(187.9? 43.9)?mol/L in oligozoospermia group(n=19)and(175.7?67.1)?mol/L in oligoasthenozoospermia group(n=39).The large difference(P0.05).Conclusion The determination of L-carnitine level in seminal plasma may prove useful as a potentially biochemical marker of fertility and this is a useful guidance for the clinic therapy and the mechanismic study on the male reproduction.

Objective:To compare the cardiovascular risk factors and the characteristics of coronary lesion between Chinese and Australian patients with myocardial infarction(MI). Methods:Five hundred and seventy-eight Chinese and 399 Australian MI patients received selective coronary angiography after hospitalization.The cardiovascular risk factors and coronary angiograms were compared and analyzed.Results:Five hundred and fifty Chinese cases(95.16%)and 376 Australian cases(94.24%)showed angiographically coronary stenosis.The comparing results of MI cases between Chinese and Australians were as follows:the percentage of patients below 40 years old,2.08% vs 6.02%(P0.05);the percentage of patients with three vessel disease and total occlusion,32.87% vs 24.31% and 45.50% vs 32.33%,respectively(P
