China Pharmacy 2016;27(7):865-868
OBJECTIVE:To find out potential financial risk in the listed Chinese pharmaceutical companies and to provide rec-ommendations. METHODS:The Z-score established with Altman E was adopted to classiy and analyzed empirically 143 listed phar-maceutical companies in China during 1998-2013 by sub-sectors(medical devices, pharmaceutical commercial, biological products chemical raw medicine, traditional TCM). The effects of some data in annual reports on Z-score were validated by using stepwise regression. RESULTS:The result showed that the average Z-score values percentage of the best 3 companies were 90.95%,47.96%and 41.25%,respectively,from 1998-2013;while for the worst 3 companies, the values were 0.80%,1.14%and 1.21%,respective-ly. At the same time, the financial situations of chemical raw medicine companies were the worst among 5 sub-sectors,of which dur-ing 2004-2006,the constituent ratios of companies in“Distress”zones went over 50.00%,which were 60.00%,55.20% and 53.60%,respectively. If counted by calendar year, the market value per share of 10 years and float of 9 years significantly affected the Z-score values(P<0.05);if counted by listed year, the market value per share of 15 years significantly affected the Z-score val-ues. CONCLUSIONS:Although major pharmaceutical companies have good financial status, financial crisis still exists in some companies. Especially, the financial situations of chemical raw medicine companies should not be neglected. The government should pay more attention to share price in order to prevent financial crisis which was induced by stock bubbles;at the same time,supervi-sion system should be established to evaluate the financial situation of listed pharmaceutical companies, even for all listed companies.

Journal of Clinical Pediatrics 2016;34(3):188-191
Objective To study the clinical features and gene mutation of congenital hyperinsulinism (CHI). Methods Clinical data of one newborn infant with CHI were retrospectively analyzed, and relevant literatures were reviewed. Results The infant was admitted at 24 days after birth due to recurrent hypoglycemia. Genetic examination revealed the single heterozygous mutation on ABCC8, which conifrmed the diagnosis of CHI. Experimental treatment of Diazoxide was effective. The blood glucose was normal in the follow up. Conclusions The improvement of genetic testing at the soonest can not only helps early diagnosis of CHI, but also guides the long-term clinical management of CHI.

Microbiology 1992;0(01):-
A lipopeptide compound was isolated from the culture of Bacillus subtilis HSO121 by methods of acidic precipitation, solvent extract, fractional precipitation, adsorption and prepared thin-layer chromatography; and its molecular structure was determined by by ninhydrin assay and IR methods following the Amino analysis, MS-MS and ESI-MS. It shows that the isolated lipopeptide consists of two homologues with molecular mass 1,022D and 1,036D and bearing a cyclic structure with the amino acid sequence Leu-Leu-Asp-Val-Leu-Leu-Glu in the peptide chain, which indicates that the isolated lipopeptide falls into the analogs of surfactin.

Objective To study normal flora components of conjunctiva, explore the relationship between normal flora and ocu- lar bacterial infections. Methods The data of 1 198 bacterial cultures of conjunctiva in non-infectious cataract patients were re- viewed and compared with the results of 985 specimens of conjunctivitis, keratitis and endophthalmitis from January 2000 to December 2004.Results Positive culture of conjunctiva in non-infectious cataract patients was 628 in 1 198 specimens (52.4%).These bacteria including gram-positive cocci and gram-neganve bacilli constituted the normal flora of conjunctiva. Staphylococcus epidermidis was the predominant bacteria (51.1%, 341/667) and its prevalence increased during this 5-year period.S.epidermidis and S.aureus were also the most frequently isolated pathogens in specimens of conjunctivitis, keratitis and endophthalmitis. The correlation was statistically significant between the positive rate in normal eye and conjunctivitis or keratitis in terms of these two species, but not statistically significant between normal eye and endophthalmitis. The resistance rate of normal flora of conjunctiva to ampicillin, amikacin, tobramycin, ciprofloxacin, and ofloxacin increased year by year. The resistance rate to gentamicin and the combination of two drugs decreased. The changing resistant pattern was similar in pa- tients with eye infection. Conclusions There is a close relationship between the normal flora S.aureus and S.epidermidis of conjunctiva and the bacterial infection of ocular surface, but no significant correlation between normal flora and the pathogen of endophthalmitis.

Objective To construct the eukaryotic expression vector of pprI gene from Deinococcus radiodurans R1 and investigate its radioresistant effects in eukaryotic cells. Methods A recombinant vector pEGFP-c1-pprI was constructed by DNA recombinant technique. The empty vector pEGFP-c1 and the pEGFP-c1-pprI were transferred into human lung epithelial cells Beas-2B by LipofectamineTM 2000,respectively.Then the infected cells were screened in order to develop a cell line with stable expression of pprI gene.Cell survival rate was tested by clone-forming assay.Cell cycle distribution and apoptosis were detected by a flow cytometry. The fluorescence intensity of reactive oxygen species (ROS) was observed by a fluorescent microscope.γ-H2AX foci in the irradiated cell was detected by immunofluorescence. Results The eukaryotic expression plasmid of pprI prokaryotic gene was constructed and PprI fusion protein was expressed in human lung epithelial cells successfully, and the cell line (2BG) with a stable pprI gene expression was established. After irradiation, the cell survival fraction of 2BG cells was significantly higher than Beas-2B cells so that the value of D0 、Dq and N of the survival curve were increased. Moreover, the fluorescence intensity of ROS and the number of γ-H2AX foci in 2BG cells were also lower than those of B eas-2B cells(F =16.73,19.47,6.94,P < 0.05).Between these two cell lines, the apoptosis rate and cell cycle G2 arrest also had significant difference (F =139.73,237.92,P < 0.05).Conclusions The pprI gene from Deinococcus radiodurans RI can be stably expressed in the eukaryotic cells and it allows the transferred cells to have a radioresistant function.
