Chinese Journal of Orthopaedics 2001;0(03):-
Objective To explore the surgical technique and its promising future of coblation in knee arthroscopic surgery. Methods Twenty cases of different knee problems were treated arthroscopically for partial meniscectomy, cartilage or ligament trimming, synovictomy or lateral retinaculum release with usage of ArthroCare 2000 radiofrequency machine. Arthroscopic diagnosis for these 20 cases were as follows, meniscus tear 6 cases, degenerative cartilage injury on femoral condyle 6 cases, patellar subluxation 5 cases, inflammatory synovitis 2 cases and partial injury of anterior cruciate ligament 1 case. Results The clinic results showed that treatment of injured tissue handled by coblation technique was much precise than that handled by the conventional technique, the former was featured by relative less invasive to the near normal areas and spontaneous coagulation function. No compression wraps were needed to be applied during operation. All patients were comfortable postoperatively with their pain- free and no swelling knees. Conclusion Less pain and easy for early rehabilitation for all ArthroCare 2000 treated cases imply that coblation technique could greatly enhance the clinic results of arthroscopic surgery for knee diseases.

Objective To investigate the pathogenesis of neonatal necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC), to explore the laboratory basis for endogenous protective substance. Method Experimental models of both ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) group and ischemic preconditioning (IPC) group were set up using healthy male Wistar neonatal rats. Serum CGRP concentration, activity of LDH, the contents of MDA and the ratio of wet weight/dry weight (WW/DW) were measured respectively. Pathological sections of small intestines were prepared and observed under microscope. Results The serum CGRP concentration were statistically different between one group to another [control vs IPC: (124?10)pg/L vs (292?17)pg/L( q =42.01); control vs I/R: (124?10)pg/L vs (162?24)pg/L( q=7.16 ); control vs IPC+I/R:(124?10)pg/L vs (282?19)pg/L( q=35.76 ); IPC vs I/R: (292?17)pg/L vs (162?24)pg/L,( q=21.73 );I/R vs IPC+I/R:(162?24)pg/L vs (282?19)pg/L,( q=19.19 ; all P 0.05)]. CGRP concentration in IPC group was higher than that in control and I/R group. Serum LDH concentration was higher in I/R group than that in control group[(190?24)u/L vs (46?9)U/L( q=26.70,P

Objective:To study the application of herbs of National TCM Master Li Jiren on treating atrophy with deficiency syndrome. Methods:By collecting 195 cases of atrophy-disease treated by Professor Li in Out-patient Medical Record System dated from January 2013 to December 2018, and FP-Growth computing paradigm was used to analyze frequency, FP-Growth enhanced computing paradigm was used to analyze the frequencyand association of symptoms and herbal pairs. Professor Li’s experience was accordingly summurized with clinic situation and Traditional Chinese Medicine theory. Results:There are 121 main symptoms among 195 selected cases, and amyotrophy (79 times), decreased muscle strength (69 times), difficulty in walking (52 times), weakness of upper extremities (43 times) and poor sleeping quality (33 times) rank the top 5 symptom. In terms of tongue manifestations, the color pink, pale, red and purple are the most; while in terms of pulses, weak, thread, deep and stringy were frequent. A total of 159 sorts of herbs were collected and Astragali Radix (140 times), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (103 times), Cistanches Herba (93 times), Psoraleae Fructus (87 times), Morindae Officinalis Radix (81 times) were the top 5. The herbs used are mainly with the function of tonifying deficiency, dispelling wind and dampness promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasisand. most of the herbs belong to liver, kidney and spleen meridians with warm character, sweet and bitter in taste. Association analysis between high-frequency herbs indicated that Astragali Radix is the core of most formulas, which conformed to Li’ s clinical experience. Three prescriptions were also obtained through cluster analysis. Conclusion:Professor Li treated atrophy diseases with deficiency syndrome by the unique idea of strengthening primordial qi and consolidating body resistance of Xin’an Medicine school. On the ground of using herbs to tonify, synergy of herbs, which were able todispel pathogenic wind, dredge channels and promote blood circulation for removing blood stasis, was achieved based on differentiation.
