Traditional Chinese medicine ( TCM ) is an important part of traditional Chinese culture . As the car-rier of TCM culture , TCM hospital should continuously strengthen its culture construction . This is conducive to develop TCM advantages , to consolidate the development direction of TCM , to embody basic features of TCM hospital , to improve the core competitive power , to meet needs of the masses of TCM services . Therefore , fur-ther promoting the cultural construction of TCM hospital is worth thinking and practicing deeply . This article discussed the connotation and function of hospital culture , elaborated measures and effects by demonstrating the process of hospital cultural construction , and put forward ideas for the reform and innovation of hospital cultur-al construction .

Objective To study the effect of 17-β estradiol on Collagen Ⅰ,lysyl oxidase like 1 (LOXL1),fibrinectin( FN )after stretch in the pelvic function dysfunction(PFD) patients vaginal wall fibroblasts cultured in vitro,and the effect in PFD pathogenesis.Methods Twelve patients with pelvic function dysfunction who under surgery in the second Hospital,Hebei Medical University from October 2009 to September 2010 were collected vaginal wall organization in this study.Use of tissue and collagenase digestion method for primary culture in the vaginal wall fibroblasts.After stretch with different concentrations of 17-β estradiol cultured fibroblasts.Total mRNA was extracted from fibroblasts and gene expression of Col Ⅰ,LOXL1,FN were measured.Results After stretch,the expression of Col Ⅰ ( 1.1872 ± 0.0733 vs 1.5035 ±0.0733,t =-4.815,P ＜0.01),LOXLI(0.7724 ±0.1873 vs 1.0855 ±0.0805,t =-5.111,P ＜0.01 ) were significant higher than before( P ＜0.01 ),the expression of FN (0.4290 ±0.1168 vs 0.4215±0.0830) was not significantly different ( P ＞0.05).The expression of all factor Col [ (3.0809 ±0.1862),LOXLI ( 1.5863 ±0.3241 ),FN( 1.1418 ± 1.0030) in high drug concentrations of 17-β estradiol were increased significant compared with controlled groups( P ＜ 0.01 ).Conclusions 17-β estradiol increased synthesis of extracellular matrix components from cultured vaginal wall fibroblasts of patient with pelvic floor dysfunction after stretch.Stretch and estrogen may play an important role in PFD pathogenesis.

Objective To evaluate the clinical value of epicardial echocardiographic examination in cardiac valve surgery.Methods Epicardial echocardiography were performed in 46 patients undergoing valvular plasty or valvular replacement surgery to estimate the function of valve and left ventricle and residual shunt during cardiac surgery.Results Twelve cases of 46(26.1％)showed abnormality during cardiac surgery.Two cases of 15 patients performed valvuloplasty were changed to valvular replacement because of remarkable regurgitation of native valves.There was 1 case of periprosthetic leakage,3 cases of left atrial appendage thrombus,1 case of patent foramen ovale and 5 cases of low ejection of left ventricle in all 31 cases of valvular replacement.Conclusions Epicardial echocardiograpyc examination is an effective examination in cardiac valve surgery with clearly image,simplicity operation and promptness.

ObjectiveTo evaluate whether endometrial blood flow measured by three-dimensional power Doppler ultrasound can predict pregnacy after the treatment of in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer (IVF-ET).MethodsNinty women who received the treatment of IVF-ET examined by threedimensional power Doppler imaging at the day of inject human chorionic gonadotropin(HCG) were enrolled.All patients were divided into pregnancy group (43 cases,include biochemical pregnancy and clinical pregnancy ) and non-pregnancy group(47 cases).The diagnostic value of parameters derived from threedimensional power Doppler imaging was evaluated by using the receiver operating characteristic (ROC)curve.ResultsDifferences of these parameters,including vascularization index (VI),flow index(Fl) and vascularization flow index (VFI)were considered statistically significant between two groups,the parameters of uterine artery and endometrial volume had no significant differences between two groups.The area under ROC curve of VI,FI and VFI were 0.880,0.713 and 0.646,respectively.Among these parameters,VI had the highest diagnostic value for discriminating between benign and malignant endometrium,the cut-off value of which was 0.733 with a sensitivity of 84.2％.Conclusions Threedimensional power Doppler ultrasound was useful for evaluating endometrial blood flow in IVF-ET cycles.Endometrial blood flow parameters may be useful predictors for pregnancy.

Objective: To investigate the expression of platelet-derived growth factor receptor (PDGF-R) in periapical granuloma.Methods:Immunohistochemical staining was conducted on prepared specimens of 15 cases of human periapical granuloma. Results:The expression of PDGF receptor ? was detected in fibroblasts,capillary endothelial cells,plasmacytes and macrophage cells in all the 15 cases of human periapical granuloma.Conclusion:These results suggested that these cells are the target cells of PDGF, and PDGF may play an important role in the lesion.

OBJECTIVE:To enrich the identification diversity of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),and provide theoretical guidance for the quality evaluation of TCM. METHODS:According to literature references and traditional identification experienc-es,characteristics including medicinal shape,size,color and lustre,surface,texture,section,odor and other aspects were identi-fied by sense organs such as eyes,hands,nose and mouth. The vivid traditional identification term were obtained through systemat-ic summarization in order to explore the internal relationship with pharmaceutical botany. RESULTS&CONCLUSIONS:As the sim-plest identification method,traditional identification method can rapidly identify the species and quality of TCM,evaluate the quali-ty,and has great significance to solve the security issues of clinical medication and health care in daily life. There was a correlation between the traditional identification and botanical research,which could be able to provide theoretical guidance to characters identi-fication and quality evaluation of TCM.

AIM: To study the effects of dietary factor on liver gene expression profile in apoE~(-/-)/LDLR~(-/-)/Lepr~(db/db) mice and atherogenesis. METHODS: The gene expression profile was determined by using cDNA microarray. Total plasma TC and TG level were measured with COD-PAP and GPO-PAP methods respectively. The morphological characters of the aorta were also observed. RESULTS: Among the 4000 target genes, 78 and 114 genes were up-and down-regulated, respectively, in treble genes mutants fed with high fat high cholesterol diet compared with that of regular chow littermates, including lipid metabolism, carbohydrate, cell skeleton and immune related genes. Atherogenic diet induced severe plasma hyperlipidemia even in the early stage and also accelerated atherogenesis in the treble genes mutant mice. CONCLUSION: The data suggest that atherogenic diet aggravates abnormal plasma lipid metabolism and induces severe hyperlipidemia, and atherogenesis in the treble genes mutant mice as well.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the resistance of clinical isolated strains to the commonly used antibacterials in our hospital 2007-2008.METHODS Clinical isolated strains and sensitivity of drugs were detected by ATB system.The result of drug sensitivity was judged by CLSI standard and analyzed with statistical software WHONET5.3.RESULTS Altogether 3150 strains bacteria were isolated,17.4% were Gram-positive strains and 82.6% were Gram-negative strains,and the top five isolates were Pseudomonas aeruginosa,Escherichia coli,Klebsiella pneumoniae,Acinetobacter baumannii,and Staphylococcus aureus.The reasistance rate of Gram-positive strains to minocycline was 15.4%.Five VRE strains were isolated.Various Enterobacteriaceae bacteria were sensitive to imipenem meropenem,cefoperazone-sulbactam and piperacillin-tazobactam,and their rate was 86.5% to 97.7%.Some of Acinetobacter and Stenotrophomonas maltophilia were multidrug resistant.CONCLUSIONS It is serous that multidrug resistance of isolated strains of the patients exists in our hospital.

BACKGROUND: Nowadays complex bone defects have become a great challenge to orthopedists. A synergistic contribution of various growth factors and a crosstalk between their signaling pathways have been suggested as determinatives for the overall osteogenic outcome.OBJECTIVE: To develop calcium phosphate cement (CPC) incorporated with γ-polyglutamic acid/carboxymethyl chitosan (PGA/CMCS), and to evaluate its physical and chemical properties and sustained-release function. METHODS: The γ-PGA/CMCS polymer composites were prepared by graft copolymerization and spray freeze drying methods, and then loaded with recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein 2 (rhBMP-2) growth factor. CPC served as control group, and γ-PGA/CMCS-CPC containing different contents of rhBMP-2 as experimental groups. A γ-PGA/CMCS-CPC scaffold with regular blade-like crystalline structure was fabricated by injection compression molding. Before mixed with the liquid phase, the solid additives were properly mixed by wet method of CPC solid and the γ-PGA/CMCS carrier, then the pre-blended mix was freeze-dried. The setting time and compressive strength of bone cement in each group were detected, and the microstructure of the material surface was observed under scanning electron microscopy. In vitro release of rhBMP-2 was investigated. The effect of bone cement extracts on cell proliferation was determined through MTS assay.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: γ-PGA/CMCS-CPC had the same physicochemical properties to the CPC. Initial and final setting time, compressive strength of bone cement had no significant differences among groups. The scanning electron microscope results showed that the γ-PGA/CMCS-CPC scaffold was covered by regular blade-like crystalline structure and the γ-PGA/CMCS particles were uniformly dispersed in the CPC crystals. A sustained release of rhBMP-2 was observed from the γ-PGA/CMCS-CPC. The cell experiments exhibited that the samples with regular blade-like crystalline structure had better cell response compared to CPC control groups with irregular crystalline structure. These findings indicate that γ-PGA/CMCS-CPC can maintain good physicochemical properties, and release growth factor or drug to promote bone formation.

Objective To investigate the effect of nimodipine (ND) injecting into cisterna magna on the mitochondrial pathway in hippocampus in rabbit model of subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). Methods Eighteen New Zealand white rabbits were randomly allocated to Sham group, SAH group and ND group, six in each group. All the animals underwent operation under anaesthesia. One mL/kg autologous non-heparinized arterial blood was injected into cisterna magna in SAH group and ND group, and the same dosage of saline was injected into cisterna magna in Sham group. Thirty minutes after injection, 1 mg/kg nimodipine was injected into cisterna magna in ND group, and equal-volume of saline was injected into cisterna magna in Sham group and SAH group. All the animals were assessed for the grade of food intake and neurological impairment, and rats were killed 72 hours after SAH. Their hippocampus were processed for detecting the expressions of Bcl-2, Bax, Caspase-3 and Cyt-C mRNA by qRT-PCR. The protein expressions of Caspase-3 and Cyt-C were detected by Western blot assay. Results Compared with the Sham group, there were lower grade of food intake, varying degrees of neurological impairment and lower ratio of Bcl-2/Bax, while the mRNA levels of Bcl-2, Bax, Caspase-3 and Cyt-C and protein levels of Caspase-3 and Cyt-C showed elevated expressions in SAH group and ND group (P<0.05). Compared with SAH group, there were no significant differences in the score of food intake and neurological impairment in the ND group ( P>0.05). There were higher ratio of Bcl-2/Bax and expression levels of Bcl-2 mRNA and lower expression levels of Bax mRNA, Caspase-3 and Cyt-C mRNA and proteins in ND group than those in SAH group (P<0.05). Conclusion Nimodipine plays a protective role in inhibiting the activity of mitochondrial pathway in hippocampus after subarachnoid hemorrhage.
