Chinese Journal of Digestion 2001;0(09):-
Objective To investigate the gastric empty and electrogastrogram(EGG) in patients with renal insufficiency before and after hemodialysis, and to study the enteric nervous system (ENS) in experimental acute renal failure rats. Methods The comparisons of gastric emptying and EGG before and after hemodialysis were carried out in 15 patients with uremia who have gastrointerstinal symptoms. Acute renal failure models were also established. The neuroplexus of ENS and levels of some gut hormones were investigated. Results The EGG and gastric emptying were abnormal in patients with uremia before hemodialysis, but improved after dialysis. The neuroplexus of ENS with positive nitric oxide synthase(NOS) staining in rats with acute renal failure was significantly decreased. The levels of gastrin, vasoactive intestinal peptide and motilin in rats with acute renal failure were (159.1?55.6)?g/L, (121.6?48.9)pg/L, and (6.32?3.55)pmol/L, respectively, which were significantly different from those of the control group(P

Objective To investigate the effects of intense pulsed light(IPL) on the collagen metabolism in human fibroblasts. Methods The callan foreskin fibroblasts were cultured and treated with different wave length and designed dose of IPL irradiation(590-1 200 nm,and 29 J/cm2),while 10 without IPL irradiation as controls.By culturing 1,12,24 and 48 h after the irradiation, the synthesis of collagen was measured by 3H-proline incorporation determination. Results The synthesis of collagen activity increased significantly(P

Abstract: Objective The main aim of the study is to sequence the complete genome of two Getah virus strains (GS11-155 and HNDZ1712-1) isolated in Gansu Province and Hainan Province in 2011 and 2017 respectively and analyze the molecular and genetic evolution of the two strains compared with M1, which was first isolated in 1964 in Hainan Province, China. Methods Genome of two newly isolated Getah viruses were sequenced by virus gene amplification technique, and the genomic database of Getah viruses was established. The molecular characteristics and genetic evolution of the viruses were analyzed by bioinformatics software. Results The genome length of two new isolated Getah virus strains (GS11-155 and HNDZ1712-1) was 11 690 nt and 11 621 nt, respectively. Both strains had the structural characteristics of Alphavirus genome. Although the nucleotide sequence lengths of structural genes, non-structural genes and non-coding junction regions of the two strains were identical, the nucleotide sequence lengths of the 5' and 3' non-coding regions of the viral genomes were a few different. The 3'UTR repeats elements in the genomes of the two virus strains did not change. It was 97.7% and 98.1% different of nucleotide and amino acid homology between both strains of Getah virus, HNDZ1712-1 isolated in 2017 and M1 isolated in 1964 in Hainan Province. Interesting, Gansu 2011 cluster and Hainan 2017 cluster were emerged leading by both strains GS11-155 and HNDZ1712-1 respectively, those two clusters totally independent with M1 virus isolated from Hainan in 1964 in whole genome phylogenetic analysis first. Conclusions Although the HNDZ1712-1 was also isolated from mosquito samples in Hainan Province, it was in a completely different evolutionary branch from the M1 isolated from Hainan Island in 1964, and was closely related to the strain isolated from Gansu Province (GS11-155) thousands of kilometers away. It is suggested that the two new strains of Getah virus are different from the Getah virus isolated in 1964.

Objective To evaluate the safety of dynamic anterior plate fixation for cervical distractive flexion injuries and compare its rigidity between different types of plate design. Methods Twelve sets of cadaveric calf spine were used in this test. All the specimens were made into distractive flexion injury models (C4-C5) ac- cording to Allen's method. After discectomy and grafting, they were randomized into three groups in which Orion, Codman, and Window instrumentations were used respectively. The stiffness of each construct was tested in flexion, extension, lateral bending and axial torsion conditions sequentially. Results Compared with an intact cervical spine, the range of motion (ROM) of an injured cervical spine increased whatever plate was applied. Orion in- strumentation presented stiffness the closest to that of the normal control, except for less torsional stiffness. Codman instrumentation provided stiffness close to that for normal and Orion groups only in lateral bending. Window's was the weakest mad not enough in all kinds of movement. Conclusions Static anterior fixation is the first choice for cervical injuries. Dynamic plate fixation may sacrifice stiffness to some extent, especially when a shifting kind of design is to be chosen.

ObjectiveTo explore the association between hepatic steatosis and the liver tissue expression of HBsAg and HBcAg in chronic hepatitis B (CHB) patients.MethodsFrom January 2005 to June 2008,a total of 147 CHB patients with hepatic steatosis diagnosed by liver biopsy and other 149 CHB patients without hepatic steatosis but with similar HBV DNA titer were enrolled. The differences of HBsAg and HBcAg immunostaining and liver injury in these two groups were compared. The data were analysed using t test and chi square test.ResultsCompared with non-steatosis group, the average age and body weight index of hepatic steatosis group were higher (t values were -3.31and -6.57,both P<0.01).The percentage of moderate to severe hepatic inflammation in liver, obvious hepatic fibrosis and the strong positive HBsAg staining was lower (30.6% vs 15.4% ; 26.5%vs 12.8%; 23.1 % vs 6.7 %; x2=9.63,8.92,15.76; all P<0.01),and the percentage of strong positive HBcAg staining was also in downtrend.Compared with degree F1 and F2 of liver steatosis, the percentage of HBsAg and HBcAg strong positive staining in liver tissues of degree F3 and F4 was in downtrend.ConclusionsHepatic steatosis affected the expression of HBsAg and HBcAg in liver tissue of CHB patients. As hepatic steatosis appeared and became more severe, both expression of HBsAg and HBcAg and the degree of liver injury were in downtrend.

Objective To explore the effectiveness of the fallopian tubes embolization for the hydrosalpinx before in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer(IVF-ET).Methods The fallopian tubes embolization was performed on 46 hydrosalpinx patients-Fimt the hysterosalpingography was performed to show the positions and shape of the hydrosalpinx. Then the hydrops was drawn into the celiac cavity in order to be absorbed after performing fallopian tube recanalization. Finally, transv(o)ihal therapy was performed, putting the embolization microcoils into the fallopian tube through a micro-catheter.One month after the fallopian tubes embolization, hystemsalpingography was conducted to check for the effectiveness of the embolization. After 3 months.all the 46 patients received the treatment of IVF-ET,Results The interventional treatment of 82 fallopian tubes obtained one time success among 46 cases of fallopian tubes embolization.Among them, obvious results were achieved in 72 fallopian tubes, taking up 88%0f tIle total;effective results were seen in 10 fallopian tubes.accounting for 12%0f the total. No one was invalid. In the same period, compared with the 91 cases of non-hydrosalpinx as the control group.the embolization group of patients achieved a higher fertilization rate(69%),and clinical pregnancy rate(41%),compared with the control group(63%and 39%respectively),but without a significant difference(P>0.05).However,the ectopic pregnancy rate(O)and the abortion rate(8%)were significantly lower than the control group(8%,16%respectively;P<0.05).Conclusions Fallopian tubes embolization used in hydrosalpinx treatment before IVF-ET is an innovative approach, simple, safe, economical, with no negative impact on ovarian functiorr It can significantly increase the clinical pregnancy rate and prevent the occurrence of tubal pregnancy. It is a feasible and effective method.
