Chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG), a chronic disease of the digestive system resulting from multi-pathogenic factors, is precancerous state of gastric cancer. Authors reviewed the current situation of Chinese medical diagnosis and treatment of CAG, and looked forward to its prospect by combining with their own clinical experience and scientific researches.

Objective To study the effect of intestinal trefoil factor(ITF) on nuclear factor-?B(NF-?B) in neonatal rats intestinal tissues with necrotizing enterocolitis(NEC),and to discuss whether ITF had protective function in NEC,and its role in the mechanism of NEC.Methods Fifty neonatal rats were randomly divided into 5 groups:group A as control group,group B as control plus ITF 0.2 mg group,group C as NEC group,group D as NEC plus normal saline(NS),group E as NEC plus ITF 0.2 mg.NEC models of neonatal rats were established.On the 4th day,all subjects were put to death.The intestinal tissue located at the boundary of ileum and cecum were obtained to observe histological changes and NF-?B level.Results The density of NF-?B(p65) increased significantly in group C and D compared with those in group A,B and E(Pa

OBJECTIVETo observe the effect of Shen warming Pi strengthening method on expressions of serum T cell subsets (C045+%, C03+%, and C04 +/COB+) in diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome (IBS-0) rats. Methods An IBS-0 rat model was established referring to AL-Chaer's modeling method combined with tail clamp and intragastric administration of sanna leaf. After modeling 30 SO rats were randomly divided into 6 groups according to random digit table, i.e., the model group, the high, middle, low dose Wenshen Jianpi Recipe (WJR) groups, and the Sishen Pill control group, 6 in each group. A normal control group consisting of 6 SO rats were also set up. Rats in high, middle, low dose WJ R groups were administered by gastrogavage with boil-free WJ R at the daily dose of 3. 100, 1. 550, 0. 775 g/kg, respectively. Rats in the Sis hen Pill control group were administered by gastrogavage with boil-free Sis hen Pill at the daily dose of 0. 736 g/kg. Equal volume of normal saline was given by gastrogavage to rats in the model group and the normal control group. All medication lasted for 2 successive weeks. Rats' general state, expressions of T cell subsets (CD45+%, CD3+%, and CD4+ /CDB+) changes were observed.

RESULTSCompared with the normal control group, expressions of CD45+% and CD3+% increased, but CD4+ /CDB+ decreased with statistical difference (P < 0. 05). Compared with the model group, expressions of CD45+% and CD3+% decreased, but CD4+ ICDB+ increased with statistical difference in high, middle, low dose WJR groups, and the Sis hen Pill control group (P <0. 05). Compared with the Sis hen Pill control group, there was statistical difference in all indices except CD45+ value in the low dose SWPSM group (P <0. 05). Compared with the low dose WJ R group, the expression of CD3+% decreased in high and middle dose WJR groups, and the Sis hen Pill control group; CD4+ /CD8+ increased in the Sishen Pill control group and the high dose SWPSM group (all P < 0. 05).

CONCLUSIONSWJR showed better treatment effect. The mechanism of Shen warming Pi strengthening method might be achieved by regulating expressions of CD45+% and CD3+%, and CD4+ /CD8+ ratios.

Background Central corneal thickness (CCT) is one of important parameters of the anterior eye segment.It plays a very important part in corneal refractive surgery and diagnosis of glaucoma.Contacted A-scan remains the gold standard for CCT measurement.Ophthalmologists are trying to look for a more convenient and noncontacted instrument to take place of contacted A-scan for CCT measurement.Objective This system analysis was to evaluate the difference between Pentacam and A-scan in CCT measurement.Methods A systematic literature retrieval was conducted from the MEDLINE,EMbase,Google Scholar,CBM disc and CNKI database with the limitation of publishing time from January 2005 to May 2011.The literature text was limited to the comparison of the CCT values measured by Pentacam and A-scan.The statistical analysis was performed using RevMan 5.1.0 software.Sensitive analysis was carried out and the publishing bias was analyzed using inverted funnel plot.Results A total of 26 studies met the requirement were included in this Meta-analysis with the 12 pieces of Chinese article and 14 pieces of English article,with the total eyes 3677.Heterogeneity was found anmong included studies (P =0.0003,I2 =56％) and random effects model was used.The differential value of CCT derived by Pentacam and A-scan was 1.74 μm,and no significant difference was found between Pentacam and A-scan (WMD =1.74,95％ CI:-0.69-4.16,P＞0.05).Fixed effects model was used to exclude the studies with the sample more than 100 eyes as the sensitive analysis.When fixed effect model was used,CCT by Pentacam was 2.73 μm more than A-scan,showing an insignificantly clinical difference.When studies with a sample more than 100 eyes were excluded,the CCT value by Pentacam was 2.64 μm more than A-scan,without clinically significant difference between them.No obvious publishing bias was seen in the included literature.Conclusions The difference between Pentacam and A-scan in CCT measurement is less and could be ignored.

Objective:To study the in vitro antimicrobial activity of traditional Chinese medicine herbal pair of euphorbia humifusa Willd. and portulaca oleracea L. . Methods: The antibacterial effect in vitro of the traditional Chinese medicine herbal pair and the single herb of euphorbia humifusa Willd. and portulaca oleracea L. was studied on staphylococcus aureus, escherichia coli and pseudo-monas aeruginosa by the 2-fold dilution method and the broth micro-dilution method in a 96-well plate. The minimum inhibitory con-centration ( MIC) , minimum bactericidal concentration ( MBC) and the diameter of inhibition zone were determined. Results:The ex-perimental strains showed the different sensitivity among the traditional Chinese medicine herbal pair and the single herb. The antibac-terial and bactericidal activity of the traditional Chinese medicine herbal pair was the most obvious(P<0. 05). As the temperature in-creasing, the antibacterial activity of all water extract on different experimental strains changed. The results of MIC and MBC showed that the effects of water extract on escherichia coli were strongest, that of stapphylococcus aureus were secong, ant that of pseudomonas aeruginosa were relatively weak. Conclusion:The traditional Chinese medicine herbal pair of euphorbia humifusa Willd. and portulaca oleracea L. has antibacterial and bactericidal activity in varying degrees on the experimental strains with some differences, and the changes in the application forms of traditional Chinese medicines has great influence on the antibacterial and bactericidal ability.

Objective　To explore the significance of the dynamic changes of pro-and anti-inflammatory cytokines in the onset and development of acute panreatitis (AP). Methods　Pro-inflammatory cytokines TNFα, IL-1β, IL-6, and IL-8 and anti-inflammatory cytokines IL-10 and IL-1ra in the plasma of 48 patients with AP and 20 healthy individuals were determined with ELISA. Results　The levels of all pro-and anti-inflammatory cytokines in plasma was significantly higher in AP patients than in control group (P<0.05) in early stage of the disease, and then all levels were decreased gradually, consistent with the alterations of clinical symptoms of the AP patients. Conclusion　The dynamic changes of pro-and anti-inflammatory cytokines might play important role in the onset and development of AP.
