Objective To investigate the variation of the oxidative stress status in type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS)and significance. Methods Eighty -nine patients hospitalized in our department from September 2012 to April 2014 were divided into three groups: T2DM control (group DM), T2DM with coronary artery disease(group DM-CAD) and T2DM with acute coronary syndrome (group DM-ACS).Blood glucose,HbA1C,Lipids,serum Malondialdehyde (MDA) level, su-peroxide dismutase(SOD) activity, glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) activity and total anti-oxidation capacity(T-AOC) were deter-mined.Results Blood glucose、HbA1C and Lipids were similar in three groups ( P >0.05).Compared to group DM and group DM-CAD, serum MDA levels in group DM-ACS were significantly higher( P <0.05), while SOD、GSH-Px activities and T-AOC were sig-nificantly lower than those in group DM and group DM -CAD( P <0.05).Conclusions The oxidative stress level being significantly increased in T2DM patients with ACS.

Objective To investigate the effect of breast milk and some other kinds of infant foods on the adhesion of EPEC to Hela cells and intestinal mucosa so as to understand the possible protective mechanism of breast-feeding in the intestine of infants. Methods The adhesion of EPEC to Hela cells and intestinal mucosa were examined by cell culture, bacterial adherence test, light and electron microscopy in the mediums that contain breast milk, cow's milk and formula milk or contain ecal filtrate of the infants fed by breast milk and formula milk respectively. Results Adhesive index for EPEC to Hela cells was significantly lower in the medium containing breast milk than in control and so did in the fecal medium containing breast fed infants than artificial feeding infants. Conclusion Breast milk may inhibit the adhesion of EPEC to infant intestine.

Background and purpose:Neuroendocrine neoplasm is one kind of infrequent neoplasms from neuroendocrine cell and peptidergic neurons. This study aimed to investigate the epidemiology and clinicopathological characteristics of neuroendocrine neoplasms (NEN) in Dalian. Methods: We retrospectively analyzed all neuroendocrine neoplasms patients in First Afifliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University from 2000 to 2013. The epidemiology characteristics, pathogenic sites and pathological types were reviewed, and the differences between gender and age were also analyzed. The statistics analysis such as independent-samples t test and one-way ANOVA and chi-square test were performed. Results:There were 279 NEN cases, including 166 male and 113 female patients (male:female=1.14:1), detection rate was 0.258%. The mean age of all cases was 59.4±17.1 (20-83), for male 58.9±19.4 (20-81) and female 61.7±15.0 (29-83). There was no statistical signiifcance of detection rate and mean age between male and female patients. Digestive system was the most common occurred site of NEN (71.68%), then was the respiratory system (20.79%). There was no statistical significance of pathogenic sites between male and female. In all case, 132 with neuroendocrine tumor (47.31%), 140 with neuroendocrine cancer (50.18%), 7 with mixed adenoneuroendocrine carcinoma (2.51%). There was no statistical signiifcance of pathological types between male and female (P>0.05).Conclusion:Recently, the detection rate of neuroendocrine neoplasms was raised in Dalian, but there was no signiifcance differences in detection rate, pathogenic sites and pathological types between male and female.

Objective To evaluate the value of creatine kinase MB(CK-MB) and cardiac troponin I(cTnI)to earlier diagnosis on myocardial injury in newborn infants with asphyxial. Methods Dynamic variation of serum CK-MB and cTnI levels were measured at birth 1,5 and 10 days, respectively,in 40 asphyxia newborn infants and 20 control neonates. Results Serum CK-MB and cTnI levels of asphyxia neonates were significantly higher than those in control group(P0.05).Conclusion The determination of CK-MB and cTnI levels can help the prediction of myocardial injury after asphyxia.

Objective To explore the correlation between personality traits in children and parental rearing patterns. Methods Two hundred and seventy-nine middle school students were investigated with egma minnenav bardndasnauppforstran(EMBU)and Eysenck personality questionnaire, and then Pearson correlation was analyzed. Results High positive correlation were found among scores of parental rearing patterns and those of neuroticism(N)and psychoticism(P).P score correlated significantly with parent's punishment, rejection and negative reaction, over interference and over protection, while high negative correlation with the score of parent's emotional warmth.N correlated significantly with parent's punishment, overprotection and rejection, high positive correlated the score of lie with parent's emotional warmth. Conclusion Parental rearing patterns play very important roles in children's personality development.

Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2006;0(09):-
Allergic rhinitis and rhinosinusitis often complicate with asthma, and their relationship has long been investigated. From the view of epidemiology, all of these three diseases have higher prevalence, complicate with each other, are risk factors and prognostic factors for each other.Besides, they share common in anatomy and pathophysiology. In this paper, the interrelationship among allergic rhinitis, rhinosinusitis and asthma in pathogenesis is discussed.

Objective To investigate the effects of ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA), dexamethasone (DEX), and S adenomethionine (SAMe) on the pregnant rats with intrahepatic cholestasis induced by ethinylestradiol (EE). Methods A total of 50 15 day pregnant Wistar rats were randomly divided into five groups: control group, EE group, UDCA group, DEX group, and SAMe group. In EE group, rats were subcutaneously injected with EE (2.5 mg?kg -1 ?d -1 ) for 5 d. In the control group, rats received subcutaneous injection of appropriate volume of propylene glycol (PG) for 5 d. In UDCA, SAMe, and DEX groups, rats were administered with the same dose of EE plus UDCA (100 mg?kg -1 ?d -1 ), SAMe (100 mg?kg -1 ?d -1 ), and DEX (1 mg?kg -1 ?d -1 ) for 5 d, respectively. The serum levels of aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alkaline phosphatases (ALP), glycocholic acid (GC), and total bilirubin were measured after cesarean. Morphologic changes of the liver of pregnant rats and the growth and development of the fetal rats were observed. Results The serum levels of ALT, ALP, GC in rats of UDCA group were decreased significantly as compared with those in DEX group ( P
