Objective To compare the effect of electroacupuncture at head points and body points on glucose metabolism of the cerebral motor function regions in normal subjects. Methods To observe the change of glucose metabolism of cerebral motor area in normal subjects between before and after acupuncture during the movement by PET.Talairach coordinates(Atlas of brain) and statistical parametric mapping(SPM) software were used to deal with the acquired imaging data. Results ① Acupuncture at Baihui(GV20) and left Qubin(GB7) could increase metabolism of glucose in bilateral Lps and precuneus, the activation of left area in the brain being more significant.②Acupuncture at right Quchi(LI11) and Zusanli(ST36) change metabolism of glucose in left gyrus precentralis, right loblus paracentralis, right gyrus frontalis medialis, both cerebellums and both putarnens. Conclusion All acupoints can change glucose metabolism in cerebral structures related to motor function in the bilateral cerebral hemispheres, different acupoints active different motor areas. The function of acupuncture is a kind of comprehensive regulative process.

Objective To explore the clinical features, diagnosis and treatment of serious pyogenic infection in deep neck. MethodsFrom January 2002 to April 2005,the clinical data of 22 patients hospitalized with serious pyogenic infection in deep neck were collected and retrospectively analysed. Results All the patients suffered unilaterally.Besides the symptoms of infection, dyspnea, pain in swallowing, limitation of mouth opening and progressive limitation of cervical activity were presented.Bacterial cultivation were performed in 14 patients and positive results were detected in six.Fourteen of all the 22 patients were cured with antibiotics, and abscess incision drainage was carried out in the other eight.Preoperative cervical PA-LAT X-ray photography and contrast-enhanced CT scanning were performed on one and seven patients, respectively, all of which indicated the formation of abscess. All the patients were cured except one who died of cerebral infarction and multiorgan dysfunction. Conclusion Imaging evaluation plays a significant role in the preoperative diagnosis and systemic treatment of serious pyogenic infection in deep neck.Bacterial cultivation provides reliable evidence for the etiopathogenisis and helps to make the effective treatment.

Objective:To evaluate the impact of health education intervention on promoting rural residents to join new rural cooperative medical system(NCMS)and their intention of joining NCMS based on Health Belief Model in project areas in Henan and Jilin Provinces.Methods:Quasi-experiment study was used to evaluate intervention impact.Following the evidence-based approach, according to needs assessment,a half-year health education intervention was implemented among farmers in the experimental counties in Henan and Jilin Provinces respectively.A questionnaire survey was conducted among farmers in intervention and control counties before and after intervention, and intervention impact was evaluated by comparing the indicators' changes in intervention and control counties. Results:After health education intervention, the knowledge level of farmers in two intervention counties increased by 29.0% and 37.8% respectively, their scores of perceived threatens of health risk and perceived barriers of joining NCMS among the respondents were decreased.Meanwhile, their score of perceived benefit of joining NCMS were increased, and the rate of willingness to join NCMS increased remarkably in both intervention counties. Conclusion:Health education was effective and helpful in increasing farmer's knowledge, understanding and cognitive level of NCMS,and it should play an important role for the sustainable development of NCMS.

Allergic rhinitis and rhinosinusitis often complicate with asthma, and their relationship has long been investigated. From the view of epidemiology, all of these three diseases have higher prevalence, complicate with each other, are risk factors and prognostic factors for each other.Besides, they share common in anatomy and pathophysiology. In this paper, the interrelationship among allergic rhinitis, rhinosinusitis and asthma in pathogenesis is discussed.

Objective The aim of this study is to evaluate clinical outcomes of patients with acute type A intranural hematoma of the aorta(IMH) received surgical treatment. Methods We analyzed 40 consecutive patients with acute type A aortic IMH in Fuwai hospital. The patients are from 2012.1.1 to 2015.12.31.The average age of patients is(56 ± 11) years.Clinical outcomes and morphological evolution by CT were analyzed for 2 years. Results Most of the patients were treated medically during their initial hospitalization. There were 2 patients died in in-hospital and no 2-year mortality.16 patients (40%) were received acute surgery,24 patients(60%)were received normal surgery. Conclusion Surgical treatment would be a favorable treatment option in type A acute IMH.

Objective To evaluate the outcomes of the payment reform at public hospitals in Sanming city. Methods Interrupted time series analysis was used to compare changes of the average days of stay, per capita hospitalization expense, outpatient expense per visit, proportion of medical expense and that of drugs during hospitalization at 21 public hospitals at or above county level before and after the DRGs reform. Results Comparisons before and after the reform found the average days of stay at the original momentum, poor control in curbing the proportion of medical expense and that of drugs during hospitalization, adropping followed by rising trend in the outpatient expense per visit, and minimal drop of the abovementioned proportions. Conclusions The rapid growth of outpatient and hospitalization costs at tertiary hospitals may be incurred by unreasonable cost transfer, structural trend of hospitalization expense makeup, and rationality pending scrutiny.

Tripartite-sector reform (a synergistic reform in public health services, medical insurance and medicine production-circulation) in Sanming city was described in the paper which centers on medical insurance.Tapping full potentials of the medical insurance, the city achieved efficient synergy among healthcare, medical insurance and medication systems. This reform has trimmed out inflated drug pricing to some extent for rooms of maneuver of medical service pricing changes, thus curbing excessive growth of medical costs successfully. The authors proposed areas of further improvements including the relationship between achieving such objective as curbing medical expenditure, and advancement of technical/medical service capacity;that between integrative control of medical insurance expenditure and protection of people's health;the equilibrium of interests between medical insurance, healthcare and medication. All these will contribute to the goal of healthy patients flow and a hierarchical medical system.

This paper analyses the Methods of selecting the cultivation direction of hospital′s dominant disciplines and points out that hospitals should analyse the development environment Objective ly, design the discipline distribution scientifically, and harbor the construction thoughts multi-dimensionally. Based on the practical experience of Nanjing General Hospital, this paper expounds vital Methods to develop preponderant disciplines, proposes that "fusion" and "differentiation" are the developing trend and regards the three major factors-leading talents, strong team, and major projects, as the critical points to prompt the cultivation of preponderant discipline. Lastly, the paper further discusses the implementation of cultivation through strengthening the platform construction, enhancing exchange and cooperation, focusing on achievement transformation and highlighting technical features.

Objective To discuss the optimal timing of fixation for femoral shaft fractures with concomitant head injuries. MethodsEarly and delayed complications, mortality rate, interval of ICU and duration of hospital stay were compared among 137 patients with head injuries,so as to evaluate the curative effect of early fixation of femoral shaft fracture(n=56) and delayed fixation(n=81).Results Early fixation group enjoyed advantages in the interval of ICU,duration of hospital stay, associated shock and infection rate over the delayed fixation group(P
