International Eye Science 2014;(12):2256-2258
AlM:To explore the clinical outcome of trabeculectomy with mitomycin C ( MMC) on glaucoma.
METHODS: A total of 57 patients (95 eyes) of primary glaucoma were randomly divided into two groups, 31 patients ( 54 eyes ) in trabeculectomy with MMC ( T+MMC ) group, which received trabeculectomy with 0. 2mg/mL MMC in surgical sites, and 26 patients ( 41 eyes ) in trabeculectomy ( T ) group. The anterior chamber, bleb, intraocular pressure ( lOP ) and complications were observed. The post-operative follow-up periods ranged between 4 and 6mo.
RESULTS:The mean lOP was 11. 24 ± 3. 73mmHg on 1d in group T+MMC. There was the significant difference compared with preoperative lOP ( P<0. 01 ), while no difference with the group T (P>0. 05). At final follow-up, the lOP was significantly different between group T+MMC and group T (16. 15±3. 62mmHg vs 18. 79±5. 27mmHg, P<0. 05). The rate of bleb formation was 94. 44% and 80. 48%in group T+MMC and T, respectively (P<0. 01). The postoperative complications were seldom, hyphema and corneal edema, and were cured finally.
CONCLUSlON:Trabeculectomy with MMC for glaucoma can effectively reduce postoperative scar formation of the filtration passage and lower the lOP to a target level with fewer complications.

Journal of Environment and Health 2000;17(6):359-361
Biochemical oxygen demand of 5 days (BOD 5) was a very important parameter of monitoring ofwater quality. The classical method presented some shortcomings, such as complexity, long period, requirementof high technology and not promptly reflecting the pollution levels of water body, so it was of no significance fortreatment of industrial waste water. In this paper, two rapid methods for determination of BODs, raising incubation temperature and correlative estimation method, were introduced and their advantages, such as short period and simplicity of operation were verified by experiments. Modification of classical method was of certain instructive significance for the practical application to treatment of industrial waste water and forecast of pollutionlevels of water body.

One of the key contents in tissue engineering trachea replacement research is the scaffold selection. This review summarizes the latest original literatures and investigations about electrospun technique as well as recent progress. To discuss the advantages and disadvantages of natural, synthetic and combined electrospun scaffolds, the versatility in material choosing and production methods is the unique superiority. For specific experimental or clinical objects, the further research is to choose a suitable polymer,to improve surface modification techniques and to control the dimension and arrangement of the fibrous structure of electrospun fibers, which can offer versatility and tissue specificity, and therefore provide a bright prospect for tissue engineering trachea.
5.Recent advancement about oncomodulin in regeneration of nerve system and optical nerve
Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2011;29(6):570-574
Oncomodulin(OM) is a kind of Ca-bind protein(CABP),and it belongs to the tropon in C super family. It different from other CABP because of its special domain(CD domain) which could bind with Ca2+.Multiple functions of OM have been determined during the study of its construction and distribution. It plays very important role in adjusting cell electric activity, regulating cell signal conduction passageway and cell cycle. In recent years, the study on OM promoting axon regeneration is emerging, especially in the regeneration of optical nerve. It offers a basis for solving the regeneration of spinal cord and cranial nerve. The concept, construction and distribution, action mechanism and its relationship with regeneration of optical nerve were reviewed in this article.

China Pharmacist 2015;(11):1873-1875,1878
Objective:To establish a sensitive and fast HPLC method for determining cucurbitacin IIa in rat plasma and investigate the pharmacokinetic characteristics after intravenous administration. Methods: The analysis was performed on a Dikma Diamonsil C18 column (250 mm × 4. 6 mm, 5 μm) at 35℃ with the mobile phase of acetonitrile-water (45∶ 55, v/v) and the UV detection at 212 nm. The plasma samples were collected after intravenous administration at different time points and measured by HPLC. The pharmaco-kinetic parameters were calculated by DAS 2. 0 software. Results: The calibration plot of cucurbitacin IIa was linear over the range 0. 146-14. 060 μg · ml-1 . The range of method recovery was 99. 02%-104. 22% and that of extraction recovery was 84. 74%-86. 80%. The intra-and inter-day precision were both less than 5%. The stability met the requirements. The main pharmacokinetic pa-rameters were showed as follows:t1/2β(h):0.732 ±0.151, 0.681 ±0.055,0.667 ±0.064;Vd (L·kg-1):0.147 ±0.089, 0.131 ±0.095,0.153±0.047; Cl(L·h-1·kg-1): 0.287±0.031,0.304±0.063,0.318±0.029andAUC0→∞(mg·h·L-1):3. 646 ± 1. 124,4. 916 ± 1. 227,9. 385 ± 1. 419. Conclusion: The validated method is successfully applied in basic pharmacokinetic study in rat plasma after intravenous administration. The plasma concentration-time curves at three dosages are all fitted three-compart-ment model. Within the examined dose range, the pharmacokinetics of cucurbitacin IIa in rat is based on linear pharmacokinetics.

[Objective]To investigate the clinic application of the reversed sural neurocutaneous island flap in repairing the soft tissue defect of the foot and ankle.[Method]From June 1997 to December 2007,38 cases of the lower leg, around the ankle and the heel soft tissue defects were treated with the reversed sural neurocutaneous island flap. The average of the patients was 38.3 years(range 5 to 65).The longest medical history was 11 years. The lagest area of flap was 17 cm?12 cm and the smallest was 5 cm?4 cm.[Result]Thirty-three flaps were completely survived, there were 5 cases with distal edge of the flaps partially necrosis and healed after short time dressing change. The patients were followed up for half a year to 10 years and the curative effect was satisfactory.[Conclusion]The reversed sural neurocutaneous flap is simple to harvest and its blood supply is reliable without the sacrifice of a major blood vessel. So it is an ideal method for repairing the soft tissue defect of the foot and ankle.

AIM: To investigate the physiological function of the novel serine protease SNC19 protein and its possible role in cancer invasion and metastasis. METHODS: Monoclonal antibodies directly against SNC19 extracellular domain was prepared. The protein and SNC19 mRNA expression were determined in different kinds of cell lines respectively by Western blot and Northern blot analysis. Cellular migration and adhesion abilities were assayed by monoclonal antibody blocking method. RESULTS: Western blot analysis showed there were two bands of SNC19 protein in BCAP37, COLO205, SW480 cells at about 120 kD and 60 kD while only one band in SW620 cells at 60 kD; Northern blots showed a approximate 3.4-kilobase fragment appearing in most epithelial-derived cell lines with this only form and high levels but no detection was obtained in OV, TCA8113, KB and SGC7901 cells. In antibody blocking experiments, the migration of SW480 cells was significantly inhibited compared with the control and the abilities of (SW480/SW480), SW480/NIH3T3 adhesion increased at the beginning of the experiments, but the difference reduced (along) with the time passed.CONCLUSION: SNC19 protein is closely related with cellular homogeneous and heterogeneous adhesion as well as cellular motility. As a novel serine protease, it may participate both in physiological and pathological processes, such as cell migration, tissue remodeling and cancer invasion and metastasis.
