1.Relationship between cystatin C and severity of the disease and changes of renal function in patients with acute cerebral infarction
International Journal of Laboratory Medicine 2015;(14):2077-2078,2080
Objective To investigate the relationship between cystatin C (CysC) and severity of the disease and changes of renal function in patients with acute cerebral infarction .Methods A total of 84 patients with acute cerebral infarction (study group) and 84 healthy individuals (control group) were enrolled and serum CysC levels were detected ,and its relationship with the degree of neurological impairment was analysed .500 mL/d (group A) and 375 mL/d (B group) 20% mannitol treatment were used ,and changes of serum CysC levels and renal function before treatment and 5 days and 14 days after treatment were analyzed .Results Serum CysC levels in patients with large ,medium and small infarcts were significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0 .05) .Serum CysC levels in patients with heavy ,medium and mild nerve function defect were significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0 .05) .After treatment ,serum levels of CysC ,creatinine (Cr) and blood urea nitrogen (BUN) in group A and B were increased ,in which serum CysC levels were significantly higher than that before treatment (P<0 .05) .5 and 14 days after treatment ,serum levels of CysC ,Cr and BUN in group A and B were without significant differences(P>0 .05) .Conclusion CysC might be closely related with the severity of acute cerebral infarction ,which could be more useful for monitoring renal function of patients with cerebral infarction than Cr and BUN .
2.Clinical analysis of 15 cases of acute pancreatitis in systemic lupus erythematosus.
Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine 2001;0(06):-
Objective To investigate the clinical features, causes, pathogenesis and treatment of acute pancreatitis in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).Methods From January 1983 to March 2003,15 SLE patients with acute pancreatitis were retrospectively analyzed. Results There were 12 patients with mild acute pancreatitis and 3 patients with severe acute pancreatitis. All patients received the treatment of moderate to large dosage of corticosteroids.Five patients recovered.Five patients improved.Five patients died. Conclusion (1)Acute pancreatitis occurs in the active stage of SLE.(2)The pancreatic vascular lesion is the main pathogenic mechanism in SLE acute pancreatitis.(3)The corticosteroids may not be the cause of SLE pancreastitis.(4)The treatment with moderate to high doses of corticosteroids is safe and effective.
3. Discussion on innovation model of Chinese materia medica based on "preceded pharmacokinetics"
Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 2013;44(17):2341-2346
The innovation of Chinese materia medica (CMM) is the central driver of CMM modernization. The application of modern theories and techniques in life sciences to innovating CMM research remains to be an urgent issue to be solved. Currently, the international R&D for drug is stepping into a new trend, in which these transformations are going through a signal target to multiple drug combination and active constituents selection by pharmacodynamics to optimize the design with pharmacokinetics. In the face of changes, the pace of CMM R&D is slow. Based on the R&D content of system biology and Huangqin Decoction extract (PHY906), the "preceded pharmacokinetics" concept is introduced. Taking pharmacokinetics as the tool to rapidly screen the potential constituents with the aims at CMM R&D. Furthermore, why the "preceded pharmacokinetics" is needed and how to start the innovation model are preliminarily discussed in this paper.

M2 type of pyruvate kinase (PKM2) is one of the most important regulatory molecules in glycolysis, which at high level is a major feature of tumor cells.Besides,PKM2 also regulates gene transcription and cell cycle, promoting the formation, invasion and migration of tumors.Meanwhile,PKM2 can beregulated by many transcription factors, oncogene proteins,miRNA and intermediate metabolites.Extensive studies indicated that PKM2 plays an important role in the developmental tumor. In view of the significance of PKM2 in tumor cells,it holds promise for diagnosis and treatment benefits.

Journal of China Medical University 2010;(1):44-46,50
Objective To evaluate the femoral neck anteversion (FNA) of patients with unilateral developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) and reveal the developmental regularity of the proximal femur. Methods 366 three-dimensional CTs of unilateral DDH patients were categorized into three age groups:<18 months, 18 months-3 years,and>3 years. The femoral neck anteversion of both sides were measured and a statistical comparison was performed between them. The line chart showing the relationship of femoral neck anteversion and age was drawn to reveal the developmental regularity of the proximal femur. Results In total, the affected side of unilateral DDH had an femoral neck anteversion 1°~5° significantly larger than the unaffected side (P<0.05).There was no statistical difference between affected and unaffeted sides in age group<18 months and 18 months-3 years, while it was significant in age group>3 years. Conclusion Pathological changes of the proximal femur were observed not only the affected side in unilateral DDH but also the unaffected side. The FNA symmetrically developed with age older.

Chinese Journal of Immunology 1985;0(01):-
Investigate the effect of prestorage white cell filtration on the cytokines content in blood. Methods: Ten units of whole blood was divided into two parts just after blood collection:one was used as control, the other was filtrated by leukoreduction filters. All units were stored at 4℃ for 6 weeks. Immediately after filtration and every week subsequently, samples for analses of IL-2, IL-8 were obtained. Results:The amounts of IL-2 and IL-8 increased during the storage period. In filtered units, the amounts of IL-8 did not increase during the study period, IL-2 still increased but was still lower than that of unfiltered units at the end of storage. Conclusion: Many cytokines, such as IL-2 and IL-8, were generated and accumulated in blood during blood storage. Leukocyte filtration may prevent this effect to some extend. Prestorage filtration may decrease FNHTRs by preventing the accumulation of cytokines in blood.
