Objective To evaluate the effect of Curve-t ype Stapler applied in lower rectal cancer reserving anus. Method The experiences were summarized and analyzed in 31 patients underwent re serving anus from January 2000 to April 2001.In 31 patients were performed end- to-side anastomosis for lower rectum cancer through abdomen.Result There were no complications including hemorrhage, stenosis and postope rative fistula in 31 cases lower rectum cancer end-to-side anastomosis.Conclutions The way of anastomosis is an effective, reliable, co nvenient method which lasts a short time.

Objective To study the feasibility of endoscopic thyroidectomy with bipolar electrocoagulation. Methods Endoscopic partial thyroidectomy via precordial approach, mainly by using bipolar electrocoagulation and scissors, was accomplished in 21 patients with thyroid tumors with a diameter of 0.7～5.5 cm. Results The operation was accomplished endoscopically in 20 patients, whereas a conversion to open thyroidectomy was conducted in 1 patient. The mean incision length was 22 mm, the operation time was 69?47 min, and the blood loss was 55?41 ml. Postoperative analgesic treatment was required in 2 patients and no serious complications happened. Conclusions Endoscopic thyroidectomy with bipolar electrocoagulation is feasible in the absence of ultrasonic scalpel.

Objective To evaluate the feasibility of hand-assisted laparoscopic colorectal resection. Methods Clinical data of 21 cases of hand-assisted laparoscopic colorectal resection in this hospital from October 2003 to August 2004 were retrospectively reviewed. Results The hand-assisted laparoscopic resection was accomplished in 20 cases. The mean operation time was 144 min, the mean blood loss was 120 ml, the mean number of dissected lymph nodes was 8.5, and the mean time to intestinal function recovery, 69 h. Postoperative abdominal bleeding was found in 1 case, which was cured with conservative therapy. A conversion to open surgery was needed in 1 case. Conclusions Hand-assisted laparoscopic colorectal resection safe, feasible, and radical, with advantages of fewer complications and simplicity of performance.

Objective To discuss the application of visualization software of CiteSpaceⅢ to the treatment and research of transfusion medicine.Methods The software of CiteSpaceⅢ and the function of the reference database ISI Web of Science itself were used to the study.Results In the past 16 years,paper quantity and cited frequency on transfusion medicine re-search had the wave-like increasing tendency year by year.The research forces of the field were mainly distributed in Europe and the United States,the research hot spot and frontier around the blood safety,change over time in a dynamic develop-ment.Conclusion The study reveals the progress and development tendency of transfusion medicine,which could provide ef-fective reference for related research.

OBJECTIVE: To establish a RP-HPLC method for the determination of the content of hesperidin in Yangweishu tablets.METHODS: The samples were separated on octadecyl silane bonded gel silica column(150 mm?4.6 mm,5 ?m) with the mobile phase consisted of methanol-7% acetic acid solution(32∶68) under a detection wavelength of 283nm.RESULTS: The linear range of hesperidin was 49.6～892.8 ng(r=0.999 9) with an average recovery rate of 99.02%(RSD=0.45%,n=9).CONCLUSION:The method is simple,accurate,reproducible and applicable for the quality control of Yangweishu tablets.

Objective To investigate the value of ultrasound examination in the diagnosis of acute appendicitis. Methods Emergency abdominal ultrasound examination was performed on 152 children who had clinically suspected acute appendicitis. Results Sixty-three children were diagnosed as acute appendicitis by ultrasound . Among them, fifty-nine children had emergency appendectomy; the other 4 had delayed appendectomy six months after conservative therapy for appendiceal mass. All of the diagnoses were confirmed to be correct by pathologis examination . Among the other 89 children, the diagnosis was luteinic rupture in 4, choledochal cyst in 2, omental cyst in 1, hydronephrosis in 1, and nephrolithiasis in 1. Eighty of them were diagnosed as mesenteric lymphadenitis and treated conservatively. Seventy-six of these eighty children recovered , and appendectomy was performed on four patients. In two of them the diagnosis was suppurative appendicitis, and in two, the diagnosis was simple appendicitis. Conclusions Combined with consideration of the symptoms and signs, ultrasound is valuable in the diagnosis of appendicitis.

AIM: To study the effects of dietary factor on liver gene expression profile in apoE~(-/-)/LDLR~(-/-)/Lepr~(db/db) mice and atherogenesis. METHODS: The gene expression profile was determined by using cDNA microarray. Total plasma TC and TG level were measured with COD-PAP and GPO-PAP methods respectively. The morphological characters of the aorta were also observed. RESULTS: Among the 4000 target genes, 78 and 114 genes were up-and down-regulated, respectively, in treble genes mutants fed with high fat high cholesterol diet compared with that of regular chow littermates, including lipid metabolism, carbohydrate, cell skeleton and immune related genes. Atherogenic diet induced severe plasma hyperlipidemia even in the early stage and also accelerated atherogenesis in the treble genes mutant mice. CONCLUSION: The data suggest that atherogenic diet aggravates abnormal plasma lipid metabolism and induces severe hyperlipidemia, and atherogenesis in the treble genes mutant mice as well.

To analyze the incidence,clinical manifestations and causes of 42 in patients with anaphylaxis from 1990 and follow its change before and after 2005 retrospectively.The mean age was (39 ± 16) years.The ratio of male and female was 1:2.2.The incidence increased obviously after 2005 (30 vs.12).A majority of patients were females after 2005 (24 vs.5).The proportions of patients with impaired nerve system,circulatory system and hypotension decreased after 2005 (P ＜ 0.01,P ＜ 0.05,P ＜ 0.01).Anaphylaxis attacked more often intra-operatively after 2005 (43.3 ％ vs.1 / 12).The most common cause was drug(35/42),especially antibiotics(14/35).
