Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2011;27(23):17-19
Objective To explore the effect of reflective learning on the ability of critical thinking of nursing students in clinical practice. Methods 102 students were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group with 51 students in each group. The control group took routine clinical practice. The experimental group took routine clinical practice and reflective learning. Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory-Chinese Version (CTDI-CV)was used to test nursing students' ability of critical thinking before and after the clinical practice. Results The average CTDI-CV scores of the control group and the experimental group were ( 286.26±28.15 )and (285.79±30.52)respectively before the clinical practice, there was no significant difference between them. After the clinical practice, the average CTDI-CV scores of the control group and the experimental group were (289.34±32.53)and (305.63±22.46)respectively, the latter was significantly higher than the former. Conclusions Reflective learning can improve nursing students' ability of critical thinking, it can be used for reference by clinical educator.

ObjectiveTo investigate personal reflections of head nurses on 360-degree performance assessment system. Method Twenty-three head nurses being involved in 360-degree performance assessment received semi-structured interviews and the data were analyzed with content analysis.ResultThe head nurses were positive about the assessment system, believing that the assessment system was helpful for detecting the weak links of daily work and thinking that the assessment indexes varied in weights with different clinical disciplines.ConclusionsThe 360-degree performance assessment was beneficial for ability promotion of head nurses and continuous improvement of nursing quality.Hospital administrators should continuously improve and promote 360-degree performance assessment system.

Objective To explore the impact of comprehensive musing intervention on the accuracy of non-stress test (NST). Methods With sealed envelope method, 400 cases of primiparous pregnant women without high risk factors were randomly divided into the research group and the control group with 200 cases in each group. The research group was given comprehensive care intervention, the control group received routine nursing. The incidence of non reaction of non-stress test, Apgar score no higher than 7 points, amniotic fluid pollution and cesarean section rate were compared between the two groups. Results The incidence of non reaction of NST was 15.08% in the research group, which was lower than 29.40% of the control group. The incidence of Apgar score no higher than 7 points and amniotic fluid pollution were 8.5% and 19.0% respectively in the research group, which showed no significant difference compared with those of the control group. The cesarean section rate in pregnant was 38.5% in the research group, which was significantly lower than 65.5% of the control group. Conclusions Comprehensive care intervention is effectively to improve the accuracy of NST , so that it can reduce cesarean section rate.

With the birth rate and survival rate of premature infants significantly increased, the risk of premature infant-related complications after discharge also gradually increased. Due to the parents′ lack of care experience to take care of premature infants, premature infants are prone to high re-admission rate, family pressure and burden. Therefore, strengthening transitional care, promoting the safe transition of premature infants from neonatal intensive care unit to home, and promoting the growth and development of premature infants are of great significance to improve the quality of life of premature infants. Transitional nursing of premature infants abroad has been carried out for nearly 30 years, while domestic research is still in its infancy and has not been carried out in a wide range of research and application. Therefore, this article summarized the concept, significance and nursing mode of premature infant transitional care, so as to provide reference for medical personnel to carry out premature infant transitional care.
