However, its incidence has been underestimated for a long time, indicating that it has not been taken seriously by healthcare professionals in clinical practice. This article provides a review of the urgent need for healthcare professionals to focus on the current status, adverse outcomes, screening and management aspects of diabetes after acute pancreatitis, and aims to provide a reference for healthcare professionals in their relevant clinical work.
