1.INITIAL OBSERVATION AND ANALYSIS OF SOME HEMORHEOLOGICAL INDEXES IN THE MIDDLE-AGED PERSON AND THE AGED IN HEALTH
Journal of Xi'an Jiaotong University(Medical Sciences) 1981;0(03):-
Some Bemorheogical indexes of the middle-aged persom and the ages of "mental work pattem" health state were compared with that of the middle aged persen and the aged in general health in the paper, The authors found the values of the former were higher than that of the latter in varied degrees. Except the both sexes hematocrit and the male's erythrocyte sedimentation rate, the other inedxes of the both groups showed very significant differences. According to the cpidemiological data which showed the incidences of ischemic cardio-cerebrovascular diseases in the mental works were higher than that in the physical labourers, it is suggested that the differences of hemorheological characterislics in the both may be the one of the causes. The authors suggest that it should pay atterntion to health states of the middle aged person and the aged who had elementary normal conclusion in physical examination but they had abnormal high values of one or some hemorheological indexes.

Journal of Xi'an Jiaotong University(Medical Sciences) 1981;0(02):-
The levels of ?_2-m、IgG and Alb in CSF of 13 patients with cerebral haemorrhage and 20 patients with cerebral thrombosis and the levels of ?_2-m in CSF of control group consisting of 14 eases were measured. It Was showed that the levels of ?_2-m in CSF of the two groups of the patients with cecrebrovascular disease were obviously higher than that of the control group and the levcls of ?_2-m in CSF of the two groups of the patients with cerebrovascular discase also had rclation to the levels of ?_2-m in serum of the groups of the patients themselves, the valucs of ?_2-m did not corre- lated with the valucs of IgG or Alb in CSF of the paticnts with cerebral hacmorrhage, but there existed a strong correlation between IgG and Alb in CSF of these patients. The values of ?_2-m, IgG and Alb in CSF of patients with cerebral thrombosis were exactly inversdy correlated with that of patients with cerebral haemorrhage. Reviewing some other data about ?_2-m the authors suggest that the clevated ?_2-m in CSf may indicate an increased cell-mediated immune phenomenon of central nervous system in teh pathological process of cerebral haemorrhage, but this phenomenon in the pathological process of cerebral thrombosis is not obviuos.

Objective: In this paper the pharmacodynamical mechanism of Heat Asthma Formula(HAF)(Herba Ephedrae, Rhizoma pinelliae, Flos Lonicerae, etc) in the treatment of bronchial asthma was discussed. Methods: By means of the radio labelled aglycone, applying phlogistic medium TXB2, ? receptor on bronchus and cyclic nucleotide (cAMP/cGMP) in lung tissue used as observed targets. Results: The results showed HAF could inhibit the release of phlogistic medium TXB2, improve the conjugate rate of ? receptor, adjust the proportion between cAMP and cGMP. Conclusion: The treatment on bronchial asthma of “Heat Asthma Formula” was perhaps concerned with above mentioned contents.

Objective:
To investigate the effectiveness of horticultural therapy on improving university students mental health problems and to provide evidence to support the application of horticultural therapy in the prevention and treatment of university students mental health.
Methods:
From March to May 2022,a before-and after paired design was used with a blank control group, mental health screening abnormalities were recruited from a comprehensive university in Hebei Province, including 57 in the intervention group and 21 in the control group, and the Symptom Checklist-90(SCL-90) score and hair cortisol were included as outcome indicators, which was measured by enzyme linked immunoassay Elisa double antibody sandwich method.
Results:
The total SCL-90 scores of the intervention group decreased ( t=4.28, P <0.01) and were significantly lower compared with the control group( t=-2.66, P <0.01), while no significant difference was observed in the control group( t=0.29, P >0.05), and the difference between the pre and post measures on each dimension of the SCL-90 was significantly lower in the intervention group (all P <0.01); the difference between the pre and post measures of hair cortisol contentration in the intervention group was statistically significant( Z= -2.75, P <0.05), and the hair cortiso contentration in pre measure group was lower than that of control group( Z=-3.48, P < 0.01 ). In contrast, the difference between pre and post measurements of hair cortisol in the control group was not significant( Z= -0.75 , P >0.05).
Conclusion
Horticultural therapy can improve the psychological symptoms of university students is suitable for psychological interventions in the university population and is beneficial to the health and well being of university students.

Chinese Medical Journal 2023;136(23):2867-2873
BACKGROUND:
Human neutrophil lipocalin (HNL) has been used extensively to differentiate acute bacterial infection from febrile diseases as a biomarker to reflect the activation of the neutrophil. The serum HNL levels in the adult-onset Still's disease (AOSD) patients with and without infection, as well as the healthy controls (HCs), were analyzed statistically in this study to evaluate the value of HNL for the diagnosis of AOSD.
METHODS:
A total of 129 AOSD patients were enrolled, from whom blood samples were drawn and the AOSD diagnosis was confirmed through the review of the medical records, where the systemic score, demographic characteristics, clinical manifestations, and laboratory parameters were also collected for the patients; in addition, a total of 40 HCs were recruited among the blood donors from the healthcare center with the relevant information collected. The HNL test was done for the blood samples with the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and the analyses were done for the correlations of HNL with clinical manifestations and diagnostic effectiveness.
RESULTS:
The serum HNL increased significantly in the patients with only AOSD as compared with that in the HCs (139.76 ± 8.99 ng/mL vs . 55.92 ± 6.12 ng/mL; P < 0.001). The serum HNL level was correlated with the white blood cell (WBC) count ( r = 0.335, P < 0.001), neutrophil count ( r = 0.334, P < 0.001), erythrocyte sedimentation rate ( r = 0.241, P = 0.022), C-reactive protein ( r = 0.442, P < 0.0001), and systemic score ( r = 0.343, P < 0.0001) in the AOSD patients significantly. Patients with fever, leukocytosis ≥15,000/mm 3 , and myalgia in the HNL-positive group were observed relatively more than those in the HNL-negative group ( P = 0.009, P = 0.023, and P = 0.007, respectively). HNL was a more sensitive indicator than ferritin and C-reactive protein (CRP) to differentiate the AOSD patients with bacterial infection from AOSD-only patients, and the Youden index was 0.6 for HNL and 0.29 for CRP.
CONCLUSION
Serum HNL can be used as a biomarker for the diagnosis of the AOSD, and HNL is also observed to be associated with the disease activity.
