29.3% decrease in ejection fraction).4 of 11 were used as heart failure group(HF,n=4).9 HF beagles were randomized to receive either a recombinant adeno-associated viral carrying the SERCA2a gene(HF+SERC A2a,n=5) or the reporter gene enhanced green fluorescent protein(HF+EGFP,n=4) by thoracotomy. All HF beagles paced by 180 beats/min in order to maintain failing state.Thirty days after infection, parameters of systolic and diastolic function were measured by doppler echocardiography and hemodynamic monitor in all beagles.RESULTS:At 30 days after gene transfer, symptoms of HF+SERCA2a dogs improved.Echocardiogram parameters were superior to those in HF+EGFP group(P

Objective To evaluate the etiology and clinical features of jejunoileum bleeding. Methods Seventy-two patients admitted in 7 hospitals of Shangdong province for jejunoileum bleeding from January 1998 to December 2008 were enrolled in the study. There were 46 males and 26 females with mean age of 47 years (ranged 13-85 years). The jejunoileum bleeding was confirmed by means of endoscopy, images or surgery. The causes, diagnostic methods and major clinical manifestations were retrospectively analyzed. Results The most frequent cause of jejunoileum bleeding was tumor (42/72,58.3 %), followed by enteritis (9/72, 12.5 %), diverticulum ( 7/72, 9. 7%), angiopathy (7/72,9.7%), Crohn's disease (3/72,4.2%). Differences were significant in constituent ratio of cause of jejunoileum hemorrhage between male and female and between jejunum and ileum (P<0.05).Hematochezia or hematochezia with abdominal pain was the first presentation. The jejunoileum bleeding in 54. 2% patients was diagnosed by laparotomy, 23. 6% by capsule endoscopy, 9.7% by selective angiography, 6.9% by small bowel series and enteroclysis, 2.8% by colonoscopy and 2.8% by push enteroscopy. The complications of jejunoileum bleeding were anemia, intestinal obstruction, peritoneal metastasis, shock, ankylenteron and intestinal perforation. Conclusions Intestinal tumor is the most common cause in jejunoileum bleeding, especially in jejunum. Whereas the enteritis, diverticulum and angiopathy were often found in ileum. The capsule endoscopy and push enteroscopy are recommended in diagnosis of jejunoileum bleeding.

Objective To investigate the effect of hydrochloric acid dyclonine mucilage combined with painless catheter on reducing the reaction of urethral catheterization in patients recovering from general anesthesia. Methods Sixty male adults, scheduled for surgery under general anesthesia, were randomly divided into 2 groups (the research group and the control group)with 30 patients in each group. All patients received urethral catheterization with painless catheter after anesthetic induction, and were injected with hydrochloric acid dyclonine mucilage 10 mL(research group) or normal saline 10 mL (control group). The reaction of urethral catheterization was recorded. Results The incidence of CRBD was significantly lower in research group(13.33%) than in control group(66.67%)(P<0.05),and the incidence of pain was also significantly lower in research group(10%) than in control group (56.67%)(P<0.05). Conclusion The application of hydrochloric acid dyclonine mucilage combined with painless catheter can effectively alleviate the reac-tion of urethral catheterization in patients recovering from general anesthesia.

OBJECTIVETo study the immunosuppressive constituents from Tetraena mongolica.
METHODChemical constituents were isolated and purified by repeated column chromatography( silica gel, Toyopearl HW40C and preparative HPLC). Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectral data analysis. The MTT assay was applied to evaluate the isolated compounds on the inhibition effect of lymphocyte transformation.
RESULTSix triterpenes were isolated and their structures were identified as follows: 3beta-hydroxy-11alpha, 12alpha:13beta,28-diepoxyoleanane(1), 3beta-(3, 4-dihydroxycinnamoyl)-erythrodi-ol(2), olean-28-al-3beta-yl-caffeate(3), erythrodiol (4), 12-oleanaen-3beta-caffeate(5), 3-O-(E) -coumaroylerythrodiol(6). Compound 24 exhibited the inhibition effects on lymphocyte transformation.
CONCLUSIONCompounds 1-6 were isolated from this plant for the first time, and compound 1 was a new nature product. Compound 2-4 showed significant immunosuppressive activity.
