2.Advances in the studies of concealed penis.
National Journal of Andrology 2015;21(9):852-854
Concealed penis is usually found in children, which affects the patients both physiologically and psychologically. Some of the patients are wrongly treated by circumcision, which may bring about serious consequences to the sexual life of the patients in their adulthood. In the recent years, this disease has been receiving more and more attention from both doctors and parents. However, controversies remain as to its classification, pathogenesis, pathology, and treatment. This paper focuses on the understanding and advances in the studies of concealed penis.

Objective: To modify EBP(endotoxin binding peptide), clone and express the mutate of EBP gene and gain purified mEBP.Method: mEBPgene was cloned by PCR site-directed mutagenesis. PinpointXa-3/mEBP expression vector was designed to express human mEBP as a fusion protein in BL21 (DE3) pLysS. Digested engineering bacteria by lysozyme and collected inclusion bodies.Fusion protein was purified by Pinpoint TM Xa purification system and cleaved by factorXa,mEBP was purified by RP-HPLC. Results: Mutations at residues 5 and 18(Gln→Lys) was obtained by PCR site-directed mutagenesis, expressed and purified mEBP successfully. Conclusions: Obtaining of purified mEBP lay a foundation for its biological activity research.

Objective To investigate.the survival rates in a follow-up group of patient with primary liver cancer. Methods The follow-up data of new primary liver cancer cases between year 2001-2004 in Xuhui district was investigated. The age distribution of patients was described.Survival rate was analyzed with single and multiple Cox proportional hazards regression model, respectively. Results The age proportion distribution of patients showed double apexes with one in age 45~50 and another in age 70~75.The arithmetic mean of survival month was 16.4 with 95%CI 14.8~18.1 and median month was 6.9.It was no significance between male and female.Patients who had liver operation owned longer survival time,RR=0.315 5(95%CI 0.243 2~ 0.4093).The sutdy showed 5-year survival rate was 40.90%and 3.95%for patients with or without operation, respectively. It had no significant effect on survival time by gender, age and family history. Conclusion The screening test and intervention in high-risk people shall be done preferentially before peak age,so as to find primary liver cancer earlier, and the more patients can accept a suitable surgery care, the more they can obtain longer survival time.

Journal of Forensic Medicine 2002;18(2):124-126
Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is a mult-effective catokines on the endothelial cells specificly. It promotes the endothelial cells to split multiply proliferate and metastasis. It increases vascular permeability and accelerates new vascular generation. VEGF participates many physiological and pathological processes. It has achieved more clinical application and will have extensive applicative prospect.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the early clinical effects and radiological outcome of dynamic cervical implant (DCI) internal fixation in treating cervical spondylosis, and evaluate its safety and efficiency.
METHODSFrom June 2009 to December 2011, 19 patients with cervical spondylosis correspond to the indication of DCI internal fixation in the study, including 5 cases of cervical spondylotic myelopathy and 14 cases of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy. There were 8 males and 11 females, aged from 35 to 54 years with a mean of 43.2 years. Pathological segments included C3,4 in 1 case, C4,5 in 6, C5,6 in 6, C6,7 in 4, C3,4 and C5,6, C6,7 in 2. All patients were treated with anterior discectomy and decompression and DCI internal fixation, meanwhile, 2 cases of them with anterior cervical corpectomy and fusion plate fixation. Clinical evaluation included Modified Japanese orthopedics association (mJOA), neck disability index (NDI), visual analogue scale (VAS) score and patient satisfaction index (PSI) at pre-operation and final follow-up. Radiographic evaluation included flexion/extension lateral view at operative level and adjacent segment. The adjacent level degeneration was analyzed according to Miyazaki classification on MRI images.
RESULTSAll patients were followed up from 12 to 42 months with an average of 19.8 months. Preoperative mJOA score was 13.6±1.1 and at final follow-up was 16.3±1.2 with improvement rate of 85.0%. Preoperative VAS,NDI was 6.6± 1.4, 17.1±7.4 and at final follow-up was 1.4±0.8, 6.1±3.9, respectively; there was statistical significance in all above-mentioned results between preoperative and final follow-up (P<0.05). Preoperative ROM at operation level was (7.6±1.9)° and final follow-up was (7.8+2.1)°; preoperative ROM at C2-C7 was (38.6±7.2)° and final follow-up was (39.9±6.4)°; there was no statistical significance in all above-mentioned results between preoperative and final follow-up (P>0.05). Preoperative DHI at operation level was (6.3±1.1) mm and final follow-up was (7.1±0.8) mm, there was statistical significance in DHI between preoperative and final follow-up (P<0.05). No heterotopic ossification was found. All patients followed up MRI, degeneration of 3 segments aggravated 1 degree in 38 adjacent segments, without clinical symptom.
CONCLUSIONTreatment of cervical spondylosis with dynamic cervical implant can got satisfactory outcome in early follow-up. Activity of operative segment obtain reservation in some degree. The incidence of adjacent segment degeneration is lower and no adjacent segment disease occur. Nevertheless a longer follow-up time should be needed to assess the long term functionality of the DCI and the influence on adjacent levels.

Bulletin of The Academy of Military Medical Sciences 2010;34(1):68-70
Objective To investigate the chemical constituents of Rannunculus chinensis Bunge..Methods The chemical constituents of R.chinensis were isolated by chromatography on silica gel and Sephadex LH-20. The structures of compounds were identified by phytochemical properties and spectral analysis(MS and NMR).Results Ten compounds were isolated and identified as quercetin(1),kaempferol(2),luteolin(3),quercitrin(4), protocatechuic acid(5),gallic acid(6),ellagic acid(7),kaempferol-3-O-β-rutinoside (8),β-sitosterol (9) and 7-ketologanin (10). Conclusion Compound 10 is isolated from R.chinensis for the first time. Compounds 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and 8 are obtained from the title plant for the first time.
