Objective To systematically investigate the molecular epidemiological profiles of human papillomavirus (HPV) in patients with condyloma acuminata(CA). Methods Two hundred and one samples of HPV DNA isolated from CA were PCR amplified by the PGMY09/11 primer system. The PCR products were simultaneously hybridized to 37 specific HPV probes immobilized on a nylon strip and then genotyped. All DNA templates were further PCR amplified using HPV 6 and 11 type specific primers for verification. Results All samples were HPV DNA positive consisting of totally 31 genotypes, the types of which were type 11(53.7%, 108/201), 6(43.8%, 88/201), 16(6.5%, 13/201), 52(6.0%, 12/201), 33(5.5%, 11/201), cp6108 (5.5%, 11/201) and 42 (5.0%, 10/201). The samples infected with a single and mixed types of HPV accounted for 60.2% (121/201) and 39.8% (80/201) respectively. Consistent results were found with the detection of HPV6 and 11 between hybridization assay and type-specific PCR. Conclusions At least 31 HPV genotypes are associated with CA. HPV 11 predominates while 68, 40, 54, 67, 73, 82, 35, 64 and 83 are rare in CA. Type cp6108 is detected in CA for the first time with a high prevalence. HPV26, 69, 70, 71,72 and IS39 might be not associated with CA. CA infected with a single and mixed HPV types accounts for 60.2% and 39.8%, respectively.

Objective:To provide experimental evidences for choosing murine models in the pathogenesis research of thymic impairment induced by viral infection,we compared the impacts of polycytidylic acid(Poly(I:C)) and dexamethasone(DEX) on the thymic morphology and thymic output function, and explored the implication of RLR signaling pathway. Methods: 24 male C57BL/6 mice were randomly assigned into three groups and treated with Poly(I:C),DEX,or saline respectively.Thereafter, their thymic morphology, pathological changes, thymic index, and thymic pathology were examined.Their contents of T-cell receptor excision circles (TRECs) and proportions of the naive CD4+T cell in the peripheral blood were determined to evaluate their thymic output function. The expression levels of thymic RLR/MAVS/IFN-α/β signaling pathway and IL-1β were also measured. Results: Both Poly (I:C) and DEX treatment caused thymic atrophy in appearance and structural destruction under the microscope inspection, and DEX treatment did much more severe damage, especially to the thymic cortex.TRECs decreased significantly in both groups. The proportions of na?ve/memory CD4+T cell subsets remained stable, though total CD4+T cell decreased in DEX group, while the proportion of na?ve CD4+T cell in Poly (I:C) group increased significantly. The expression of RIG-Ⅰ,MDA5,LGP2,and IFN-α/β were up-regulated in DEX group, while it remained unchanged in Poly (I:C) group. Conclusion:Both Poly (I:C) and DEX induced thymic atrophy and the impaired thymic output function.Nevertheless, the expression of RLR-IFN signaling pathway up-regulated more significantly in DEX group instead of in Poly (I:C) group. These results implied the existence of different pathological manifestations and mechanisms underlying the impaired thymic function in different animal models,as well as impact on na?ve/memory CD4+T cell proportions. Our research provides references for choosing animal models in the basic research and drug development for viral infection induced thymic atrophy based on the RLR signaling pathway.

Chinese Journal of Surgery 2006;44(20):1414-1416
OBJECTIVESTo investigate and discuss the role of CT in the diagnosis and treatment of comminutive distal radius fractures.
METHODSOne hundred and eleven consecutive patients (118 cases of fractures) who were admitted to Jishuitan hospital from January 2003 to January 2005 were included in this study. These patients all need operative treatment and accepted CT scans for better understandings of these injuries and helping to make operation plans.
RESULTSafter comparing the results of X planes and CT scans, considerable differences existing between the two examinations were found in the measurements of articular compression and step-off, gapping, comminution degree and subdislocation. This difference was manifested not only in the alteration of quantity but also in the change of quality.
CONCLUSIONSComputed tomography can provide more vivid and detailed information of fractures for practitioners. Undoubtedly, CT is especially valuable in the evaluation of severity degree and stability of comminutive distal radius fractures, thus it helps us to determine whether operation is obligatory and choose the best method and approach of operation. Moreover, CT can also clearly show the important parts of fractures which need special attention in the process of operation. At the same time, practitioners are required to understand the indications of CT examination completely and know how to choose scan planes properly.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the expressions of chemokine receptors and interleukin (IL) receptors on the peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) patients and their correlations with clinical features as well as SLE disease activity index (SLEDAI).
METHODSThe mRNA expressions of chemokine receptors and IL receptors on PBMCs of 93 SLE patients and 30 healthy controls were detected by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction, including CCR2, CCR3, CCR4, CCR5, CCR6, CCR8, CXCR3, CXCRS, CX3CR1, XCR1, IL-4R, and IL-10R. The clinical features of SLE patients were recorded. The correlations of chemokine receptors and IL receptors mRNA expressions with clinical features as well as SLEDAI were assayed using linear regression analysis.
RESULTSThe level of CCR5 mRNA in SLE patients (including active and inactive SLE) was significantly higher than that in healthy controls (P < 0.05), and there was no significant difference between active and inactive patients in this respect (P > 0.05). CX3CR1 mRNA expression significantly increased from healthy control to inactive SLE to active SLE in sequence. The others (except for CCR8, CXCR3, and IL-10R) in active SLE patients were significantly higher than those in both inactive SLE patients and healthy controls (all P < 0.05). There were positive correlations between SLEDAI and CCR2 (r = 0.424, t = 4.313, P < 0.001), CCR3 (r = 0.518, t = 5.410, P < 0.001), CCR4 (r = 0.376, t = 3.851, P < 0.001), CCR6 (r = 0.457, t = 4.513, P < 0.001), CXCR5 (r = 0.455, t = 4.629, P < 0.001), CX3CR1 (r = 0.445, t = 4.523, P < 0.001), as well as XCR1 (r = 0.540, t = 5.445, P < 0.001). And CCR5 mRNA expression level was positively correlated with IL-4R mRNA (r = 0.313, t = 2.353, P < 0.05). The patients with myositis and cutaneous vasculitis simultaneously showed lower levels of CCR5 and CX3CR1, and CCR5 expression was negatively correlated with the scores of SLEDAI in SLE cases accompanied by photosensitivity (r = 0.426, t = -2.155, P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONIncreased expressions of CCR5 and CX3CR1 on PBMCs may be indicators in clinical survey for SLE.

9. Netrin-1: The new tumor markers in renal clear cell carcinoma
Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine 2015;8(6):489-493
Objective: To explore the expression of Netrin-1 protein in human renal clear cell carcinoma (RCCC) and the relationships between Netrin-1, pathology and prognosis. Methods: 72 cases of RCCC admitted in our hospital from 2008 June to 2009 June and their adjacent tissues were selected for study. They included 30 cases in stage I-II, 42 cases in stage III-IV; 9 cases in grade I, 9 cases in grade II, 40 cases in grade III and 14 cases in grade IV. All cases were followed up for more than 5 years. Survival analysis lines were made by Kaplan-Meier method and the difference between groups was tested by the Log-rank test. The expression of Netrin-1 protein was detected by immunohistochemistry staining and its clinical significance was analyzed. Results: Renal clear cell carcinoma: 51 cases in high expression of Netrin-1 and 21 cases in low expression, normal tissues: 12 cases in high expression of Netrin-1 and 60 cases in low expression, the difference between the two groups is significant (χ2=42.921, P<0.01). The difference of the expression of Netrin-1in Fuhrman grade and AJCC clinical stage is significant (χ2=8.000, χ2=6.203; P<0.05). The 5-year survival rate in low protein expression group and in high protein expression group was 79% (17/21) and 62% (32/51). The survival curve had different trend, with no significant difference between groups ((χ2=1.360, P=0.245). Conclusions: Netrin-1 protein plays an important role in the development of RCCC. It might be a new specific tumor marker of RCCC, and might become a new target in treatment of RCCC.
