Objective To understand the molecular epidemiology characteristics and its drug resistance of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in the urban area of Jilin and to provide important basis for guiding the clinical medication and prevention of the MRSA infection. Methods One hundred and three strains of MRSA from July 2013 to July 2014 in the urban area of Jilin were selected. The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technology and multiple polymerase chain reaction were used to detect mecA gene and Staphylococcus chromosomal cassette mec typing (SCCmec) genotype of MRSA. The drug sensitivity test for 13 kinds of clinical common antibacterial drugs were detected by using the K-B method. And the source of the strains were analyzed. Results The results of SCCmec genotype of MRSA showed that SCCmecⅢtype were 62 strains, accounting for 60.2%;SCCmecⅡtype were 39 strains, accounting for 37.9%; failing to parting were 2 strains,accounting for 1.9%. Drug susceptibility test results showed that all of 103 MRSA strains were resistant to cefoxitin, cefazolin, penicillin and benzene, and drug resistance rate was 100.0%. The resistant rate to erythromycin, levofloxacin, ciprofloxacin, tetracycline, gentamicin and rifampin were 96.1%, 93.2%, 95.1%, 91.3%, 90.3%and 55.3%receptively;the resistant rate to sulfamethoxazolewas was only 1.9%;and the resistant strains to vancomycin and teicoplanin were not detected. The top three department of the distribution of the strains source were department of neurosurgery (31.1%), ICU (19.4%) and burn plastic surgery (17.5%). Conclusions The SCCmecⅢtype is the main MRSA epidemic strains, and SCCmec type II is a minor epidemic strainin the urban area of Jilin. The antibiotic resistance of MRSA is a serious problem with multiple drug resistance, but MRSA is sensitive to vancomycin and teicoplanin.

Objective To explore the relationships between serum adiponectin,IL-6 and hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy(HIE) degree in newborn infant.Methods Enzyme-linked immunoabsorbent assay was used to detect the serum adiponectin and IL-6 in 58 neonatal HIE and 26 neonates without HIE.And all the data were processed by SPSS 10.0 software.Results The level of serum adiponectin in moderate and severe HIE at acute stage were significantly lower than that of mild and control groups(Pa0.05).The level of serum IL-6 in moderate and severe HIE at acute stage were significantly higher than that of the mild and control groups(Pa0.05).The level of adiponectin were significant negative correlation with IL-6(r=-0.852 P

Objective To study the prevention and treatment of complications occurring in anterior cervical spinal surgery.Methods3163cases with cervical spondylotic meylopathy,spinal injury,spinal tu-mor and spinal tuberculosis treated by anterior cervical surgery,were included in this study.Trephination,corpectomy,disectomy and debridement were used for decompression,iliac bone autograft,BAK cage,cubic shaped cages and titanium mesh cages were used for bone grafting,while anterior cervical spine locking plates were performed in some of the cases.1848cases were followed-up from6months to8years with an aver-age of 2years and3months.646cases suffered from operative complications,372cases were immediate due to anterior cervical surgery,and the incidence of morbidity was11.76%.Results26cases of transient laryn-geal nerve or superior laryngeal nerve injury recovered in4to12weeks without special treatment.Most of 16cases with cervical hemotoma were caused by bleeding of smaller blood vessels and obstruction of drainage.13cases of spinal cord or nerve root irritation or injury were treated with medicine for dehydration,12of them had good result.11cases of CSF leakage were cured with cervical spinal immobilization and moderate local compression.8cases of local infection were cured with antibiotics or combined with debride-ment and suturing.2cases of esophagus perforation were repaired and healed.8cases of grafted bone dis-placement were re-operated on the day or second day of occurring.17cases of pseudoarthritis had revision surgery.6of 35cases of adjacent segments degeneration with new symptoms of spinal cord compression were treated with anterior cervical decompression again,and had good results.Most of 342cases of iliac donor side com plications were local pain or lateral femoral cutaneous nerve injury,infection occurred in some cases.Compli cations related to instruments included10cases of BAK subsidence,1case of plate breakage,1case of screws and plate back-out and7cases of titanium mesh cage subsidence.216cases of cervical axial pain were cured3to6months later with medicine.There was1case of sudden death in this group.Conclusion Many kinds of operative complications could occur in anterior cervical surgery.A standardized procedure in diagnosis and surgery methods are the key points to decrease and prevent operative related complications.

Objective To evaluate the overall effect of transsphenoidal microsuegery for 23 patients with non-adenomas disease intrasellar region.Methods A toal of 23 patients with non-adenomas disease in- trasellar region,7 cases of Rathke's cleft cyst,3 cases of craniopharyngiomas,2 cases of meningiomas,2 ca- ses of pituitary tuberculous granuloma,5 cases of pituitary abscess,2 cases of empty sella,2 cases of chord- mas,were treated via sublabio-septo-sphenoidal microsurgery.Results There were among the 23 patients, groos total removal of the disease were achieved in 14 cases,subtotal removal in 7 cases,and partial removal in remain 2 cases.Diminished visual activity and visual field defects were improved in 13 cases.Menstrual disorder in all female cases and sexual disturbance in male were improved.There was no death in group. Conclusion Microsurgical technique via transsphenoidal approach is a safe and effective one for the treatment of patients with non-adenomas disease intrasellar region.

Objective To investigate the effect of different Chinese herbs on cell proliferation and cartilage oligomeric matrix protein(COMP)expression in chondrocyte culture.Methods Chondrocytes isolated from rabbit knee cartilage were cultured for 3 generations with the density of 2?10~4/cm~2 and were verified by collagenⅡimmunohistochemical staining.Rabbit sera containing herbs were obtained after animals orally ad- ministrated herbs at the dosage equivalent to human.At 5% and 10% serum density,cells were cultured in the medium that contained liver-softening herbal compound sera.Subgroups setting at 1,3 and 5 hours after herb intervention were observed.Rabbit and bovine sera were control groups.Seven days after intervention,chon- drocytes proliferation was observed using the MTT assay kit.For the study of COMP expression,chondrocytes were isolated from human knee cartilage supematant.Superuatant COMP level was tested by enzyme-linked immunoabsorbent assays(ELISA)after directly adding compound and extract from liver-softening herbs to the culture at the final concentration of 10 mg/ml for 3 days.Results Liver-softening herbal compound group had significant effect on cell proliferation compared to control,of which,3-hour subgroup was more significant than 1-and 5-hour subgroups(P

This paper is to build a finite element model of brain with a real brain shapeon which simulation studies of electrical impedance tomography EIT in the brain is based. A curve of a real brain shape is simulated with the curve-fitting methods and EIT in the brain is finished with finite-element methods and Equipotential Lines Back-Projection algorithm.The locationarea and amplitude of the change of the resistivity are reconstructed accurately. But the image quality has to be further improved.This paper provides a basis for clinical applications of EIT in brain.

A high productive poly ?-glutamic acid(?-PGA) strain PGA-N in a culture medium containing no L-glutamine was isolated from fermentation products.With the following identifications of colony mor-phology,physiological and biochemistry experiments,and genetics,the strain PGA-N was classified as a Bacillus licheniformis.According to the product environment,the base culture medium having no L-glutamine was simulated.In order to enhance the production of the strain PGA-N,the fermentation condi-tions,such as carbon source,nitrogen source,were optimized and the ?-glutamic acid production reached 5.16 g/L after getting the optimum formulation of this culture medium.PGA-N was mutagenized with com-bination of NTG and UV.A mutant PGA-N-C10 was screened which PGA production was increased from 5.16 g/L to 8.82 g/L.The study also investigated the effects of agitation speed on the cell biomass,?-PGA production and the ?-PGA molecular weight.The ?-PGA yield of PGA-N-C10 was as high as 11.00 g/L when the agitation speed was 400 r/min.

Acetic acid bacteria are Gram-negative,obligate aerobic bacteria that have the ability to incompletely oxidize alcohols or sugars to organic acids as end products. The taxonomy of acetic acid bacteria has undergone many changes in the last 30 years. The early classification systems for these bacteria were based on morphological and biochemical characteristics. Today,the acetic acid bacteria are classified as the consensus result of a polyphasic analysis,combining phenotypic,chemotaxonomic and genotypic data. This paper reviewed the polyphasic taxonomy of acetic acid bacteria,mainly introduced the current classification of acetic acid bacteria,then discussed the application of phenotypic,chemotaxonomic and genotypic method in the taxonomy of acetic acid bacteria.

Objective To evaluate the safety and effectiveness of partial cystectomy combined with chemotherapy in treating localized muscle invasive bladder cancer.Methods The patients admitted to localized muscle invasive bladder cancer from October 2011 to December 2015 were screened according to the strict inclusion criteria,and the final 53 patients were enrolled in the study,37 males and 16 females,aged 36 to 85 (63.72 ± 13.31)years.Tumor diameter 1.5-4.0 (2.52 ±0.56)cm,the number of≤ 3 and the edge of the tumor from the ureteral opening ＞ 2 cm.All pathological types are urothelial carcinoma.All patients were examined by MRI clinical stage T2a-T2b period.A total of 53 patients with muscle invasive bladder cancer who refuse or older,merge the heavier medical disease,difficult to tolerate radical cystectomy.Using partial cystectomy,intraoperative electrosurgical excision to deep muscle,parallel to the tumor bed frozen to confirm negative margins,postoperatively systemic chemotherapy of gemcitabine combined cisplatin and bladder perfusion chemotherapy of hydroxycamptothecin.Results Patients were successfully opcrated,and no margin positive or incision planting cases.The operating time is 55-110 min and average (79.11 ± 17.25)min.There was no serious complication in operation and postoperative,pathological diagnosis was invasive epithelial cell carcinoma of the urinary tract,pathology classification:low level 41 cases,and high level 12 cases.Follow up of 12 to 62 months,an average of (27.11 ± 12.22)months,21 cases of recurrence,12 patients had superficial recurrence in the bladder who was treated successfully by transurethral resection of bladder tumor,5 cases of multiple myometrial invasion who was treated by radical cystectomy (3 cases died of bladder cancer after the surgery in 8,12,and 18 months later),4 cases of myometrial invasion with recurrence of pelvic lymph node metastasis or even distant metastasis to give up treatment (all died within six months of bladder cancer).The first tumor recurrence time 3-18 months,11 months and the median time.Conclusions Our data indicate that partial cystectomy combined with chemotherapy is a safe and effective in treating localized muscle invasive bladder cancer,with less trauma,shorter operative time and higher safety,so as to provide an alternative treatment for patients with advanced age,high risk or who can not be implemented transurethral resection of bladder tumor or who refused to undergo radical cystectomy.
