Postoperative pancreatic leakage remains a persistent problem after pancreaticoduodenectomy. For patients with a soft and nonfibrotic pancreas, double binding continuous hemstitch suture is an optimal method for anastomosis. From January 2011 to June 2012,92 cases of periampullary carcinoma with a soft pancreas underwent pancreaticoduodenectomy, and then a modified technique of pancreaticogastrostomy was performed with 2 continuous hemstitch sutures placed in the mucosal and seromuscular layers of the posterior gastric wall, respectively. The median time for pancreaticogastrostomy was 12 minutes, and only 15 patients had postoperative complications. Two patients developed pancreatic leakage(1 grade A and 1 grade B)postoperatively.Pancreaticogastrostomy with double binding continuous hemstitch sutures is a simple and safe reconstruction procedure for patients with a soft and fragile pancreas who received pancreaticoduodenectomy.

ObjectiveTo share the experience of arterial plasty and reconstruction of variant arteries in living donor liver transplantation. MethodsFrom September 2006 to May 2010, 73 living donor liver grafts (64 cases using the right lobe,9 cases using left lobe) were used in patients with end-stage liver disease. The hepatic arteries were evaluated preoperatively with computed tomography and magnetic resonance angiography. Back-table arterial plasty was performed under a microscope or a loupe according to arterial variation. We described technical points based on anatomic variations. There were 13 (17. 8 %) liver grafts with anatomic hepatic arterial variations and all of these cases were subjected to back-table reconstruction with interrupted 8-0 or 9-0 nonabsorbable nylon monofilament sutures according to the diameter of artery. ResultsIn 3 cases, the associate right hepatic arteries that were arisen from superior esenteric arteris (SMA) were reconstructed to cystic arteries. In 2 cases with the associate right hepatic arteries arisen from the abdominal trunk, the right hepatic arteries and associate right hepatic arteries of donors were anastomosed with right hepatic arteries and left hepatic arteries in recipients respectively. In 2 donors, hepatic arteries had branches, which were reconstructed. All of the arterial plasty were conducted on a back table. No arterial thrombosis was found during a postoperative follow-up period of 6 months. ConclusionLive donor liver transplantation using the right lobe with hepatic artery variation can be performed safely, but there is a potential operative risk of severe complication after transplantation. Tominimize operative difficulties and complications, back-table reconstruction should be applied and proper treatment is given according to individual situations to ensure a safe and satisfactory outcome

So far there exists no corresponding quality test procedures and grading standards for the seed of Prunus humilis, which is one of the important source of base of semen pruni. Therefor we set up test procedures that are adapt to characteristics of the P. humilis seed through the study of the test of sampling, seed purity, thousand-grain weight, seed moisture, seed viability and germination percentage. 50 cases of seed specimens of P. humilis tested. The related data were analyzed by cluster analysis. Through this research, the seed quality test procedure was developed, and the seed quality grading standard was formulated. The seed quality of each grade should meet the following requirements: for first grade seeds, germination percentage ≥ 68%, thousand-grain weight 383 g, purity ≥ 93%, seed moisture ≤ 5%; for second grade seeds, germination percentage ≥ 26%, thousand-grain weight ≥ 266 g, purity ≥ 73%, seed moisture ≤9%; for third grade seeds, germination percentage ≥ 10%, purity ≥ 50%, thousand-grain weight ≥ 08 g, seed moisture ≤ 13%.

Objective To study the effects of erythrecyte on brain edema after traumatic intrace- rebral hemorrhage(TICH)and explore the mechanisms of erythrocyte in brain edema development follow- ing TICH.Methods Firstly, the brain injury model of SD rat was established by applying a free-fall- ing device, then whole blood(WB),lysed RBC(LRBC)or parked RBC(PRBC)were infused with ste- reotactic guidance into injured cortex to produce the model of TICH.All rats were killed at 1,3,and 5 days after injury. The brain water content was measured, immunohistochomistry(SABC)was applied to test HO-1 and TNF-?expressions.Results 1.In WB group,PRBC group and TBI group, the brain water content was the highest on the third day.The brain water content of LRBC group was markedly higher on the first day than on the third and fifth days.Comparison among the four groups showed the wa- ter content was the highest on the 1st day in LRBC group, and on the 3rd day in WB and PRBC groups; there was no significant difference among the four groups on 5th day.2.The positive expression of HO-1 and TNF-?coincided with the change of the water content in groups of WB,PRBC and LRBC.Conclu- sions In rat model of TICH,RBC plays an important role in delayed brain edema formation(3 days after injury),but has no influence at early stage(1 day after injury). The mechanisms of delayed brain edema involves RBC breakdown and inflammation reaction.
