Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 2001;0(08):-
Fourteen patients with vascular stenosis in carotid artery system were treated using angioplasty and stenting. The stenosis was located at bifurcation in 6 cases, intracranial internal carotid artery in 3, horizontal segment of middle cerebral artery in 3, and original segment of common carotid artery in 2. Depending on the long and degree of stenosis, different types of SMART stents and Biodivysio stents were selected for the endovascular angioplasty via the femoral approach in 13 cases. Balloon dilatation angioplasty was performed in one case. All the angioplasties in 14 cases were successfal. Different improvement was achieved in patients with neurological defects and no stroke was found in NIHSS after endovascular angioplasty. Following up 3 to 14 months, there was no TIA and other ischemic neurological defect. The primary results of our group showed that endovascular angioplasty and stenting are effective and safe for carotid stenosis. It should be one of the favorable choices for the treatment of vascular stenosis in catotid artery system.

Objective:To study the mechanisms of neutrophil elastase (NE) induced expression of respiratory mucin MUC5AC. Methods:Using gene recombination techniques, four luciferase reporter gene plasmids containing different length of human MUC5AC gene promoter were constructed.Site-directed mutagenesis technique was used to establish mutants of Sp-l and NF-?B site in MUC5AC gene promoter; the relative luciferase activities were detected in the transfected human pulmonary A549 cells. Results:Series of luciferase reporter gene containing different sequences of human MUC5AC promotor were constructed successfully.NE could increase the expression of luciferase reporter gene plasmid containing -1300bp,-689bp and-324bp version of MUC5AC promoter in the transfected A549 cells (P

OBJECTIVETo compare the cleaning effect of automatic cleaning machine and manual cleaning on coupling type surgical instruments.
METHODSA total of 32 cleaned medical instruments were randomly sampled from medical institutions in Putuo District medical institutions disinfection supply center. Hygiena System SUREII ATP was used to monitor the ATP value, and the cleaning effect was evaluated.
RESULTSThe surface ATP values of the medical instrument of manual cleaning were higher than that of the automatic cleaning machine.
CONCLUSIONCoupling type surgical instruments has better cleaning effect of automatic cleaning machine before disinfection, the application is recommended.

Chinese Journal of Radiology 2000;0(11):-
Objective To discuss the image characters and the technical manipulation of endovascular embolization for cerebral AVM with bleeding. Methods The cerebral AVMs with bleeding in 56 cases were confirmed by CT, MRI, and whole cerebral DSA. Depended on the nidus of AVM, the superselective endovascular embolization with NBCA or embolization combined with radiological surgery was chosen. Results The nidus was eliminated for 100% in 36 cases after embolization for 1 to 3 processes. The rebleeding was found in 2 cases with new growth and survival aneurysm in nidus during the follow-up period and treatment with X-knife, and was cured by the second embolization. Conclusion The main causes of AVM bleeding included aneurysm and aneurysm-like dilation beside and located at the nidus, fine draining veins, and growth in the ventricles. To prevent the brain from bleeding, it is favourable to eliminate the aneurysm in AVM during embolization.

Chinese Journal of Endemiology 2008;27(5):495-498
Objective To investigate the effects of arsenic trioxide(As2O3)combined with ascorbic acid(AA) on the apoptosis and differentiation of myelocytic leukaemia cells. Methods The acute promyelecytic leukaemia cell lines (NB4 and MR2)and erythroleukemia cell line(KS62)were cultured in vitro.Grouping wasbased on different concentration of As2O3(0,0.1,0.2,0.5,1.0 μmol/L),which WaS used a8 control groups.Then,AA(113.0μmol/)was added into each group.Cell morphologic changes of cell lines NB4,MR2 and K562 were observed under light microscope; The apoptosis symbols [Annexin V(+)/PI(-),Annexin V(+)/PI(+)]and differentiation symbols(CD11b and CD33)were detected by flow cytometry 96 hours later. Results

Chinese Journal of Dermatology 2012;45(1):19-21
Objective To study the expression of skin aspartic protease (SASPase) in lesions of cutaneous lupus erythematosus (CLE) and its role in the pathogenesis of CLE.Methods Skin samples were resected from the lesions and normal skin of 9 patients with CLE,including 3 cases of subacute cutaneous lupus erythematosus (SCLE),4 cases of discoid lupus erythematosus (DLE) and 2 cases of acute cutaneous lupus erythematosus (ACLE).Keratinocytes were isolated from the tissue samples and cultured in serum-free medium.Total proteins were extracted from the keratinocytes and separated by two-dimensional gel electrophoresis.ImageMaster 2D analysis software was used to assess differentially expressed proteins in keratinocytes between the lesional and normal skin, which were identified by matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF-MS).The expression levels of SASPase were further determined by Western blot. The data were analyzed statistically by Student's t test. Results Keratinocytes were isolated from the tissue samples and successfully cultured in vitro.Two-dimensional electrophoresis profiles of proteins from the keratinocytes were obtained with high resolution and reproducibility, and the average matching protein spots were about 1200 with the matching rate higher than 80%.As Western blot showed, the relative expression level of SASPase was 0.463 ± 0.018 in keratinocytes from the lesional skin, and 0.145 ± 0.011 in those from the normal skin (P < 0.05).The Western blot results were consistent with those of two-dimensional electrophoresis. Conclusion The initiation and progression of CLE seem to be associated with the abnormal activation and overexpression of SASPase.

Objective To analyze the epidemiologic features of visceral leishmaniasis in different age groups in China from 2005 to 2012,and to provide a scientific basis for prevention and treatment of the disease. Methods The visceral leishmaniasis cases were obtained from China disease epidemic monitoring information system from 2005 to 2012.All the cases were divided into subgroups by demographic characteristics:infant (<1 year old),childcare (≥1 and <4 years old),child (≥4 and <15 years old),adult (≥15 and <65 years old) and senior adult (above 65 years old). The epidemiologic features, such as gender, season of disease onset and area distribution of visceral leishmaniasis were analyzed. Results The total reported visceral leishmaniasis from 2005 to 2012 were 2 979,among which cases in infant, childcare, child, adult and senior adult were 24.9%,21.7%,20.0%,32.4% and 1.0%,respectively.Infant cases were most reported in April; childcare cases in December which began to increase since September; child cases in October and adult and senior adult in March. The reported cases were mainly from Xinjiang,Gansu and Sichuan areas. However, age characteristics differed among regions, which were mainly infants, both childcare and children, and adults, respectively in this three areas. The duration from onset to diagnosis was shortest in infant group (11 d) and longer in adult group (15 d).Conclusions The number of visceral leishmaniasis cases in different age groups peaks in different months.Regional distribution is not even.Cases are most concentrated in Xinjiang,Gansu and Sichuan areas.Infants predominate in Xinjiang, childcare and children in Gansu and adults in Sichuan.
