2.Nicotinamide enhances the effect of none focused ultrasound to kill human pulmonary carcinoma cell line GLC-82
Basic & Clinical Medicine 2006;0(09):-
Objective To determine the sensitization of Nicotinamide (NA) on None Focused Ultrasound (NFU) on GLC-82 cells in vitro. Methods The subjectives were divided into A、B、C and D four groups, group A was negative control, group B was treated with NA, group C was irradiated with NFU, group D was treated with both NFU and NA; MTT assay was used to evaluate the cytotoxicity of NA and its sensitivity for NFU on GLC-82 cells quantified by calculating the sensitive enhancement ratios (SER); Morphologic change of cells was observed with light microscope, fluorescence microscope and scanning electron microscope;Flow cytometry was performed to determine the percentage changes of apoptosis and distributional percentage of the cell cycle of GLC-82 cells in response to NFU, NA and the effect of its intervention to NFU. Results The cytotoxicity of NA increased in a dose-dependent manner after 24-hour treatment, with the optimal dose range of 1 mg/mL~5 mg/mL. A sub-toxic dose of NA at 3 mg/ml was used in the subsequent experiments; After treatment with NA plus NFU, microvilli and filipodium of GLC-82 cells reduced, shortened and shrunk into corpuscule-shape; The apoptosis rate of group D was more than that in group B and C, with cell cycle arrested at phase S and G2.Conclusion NA can significantly enhance the effect of NFU on GLC-82 cells, which provides evidence for NA as a sensitization to NFU in clinic.
3.The effects of group reminiscence therapy on depressive symptoms in institutionalized elderly: a Meta-analysis
Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2017;33(20):1588-1594
Objective To evaluate the effect of group reminiscence therapy on improving the depressive symptoms of the institutionalized elderly. Methods Collecting clinical randomized controlled trials and quasi-randomized controlled trials of group reminiscence therapy for improving depressive symptoms in institutionalized elderly which published from 2000 to November 2016, by searching the Cochrane Library, PubMed, CINAHL, PsycINFO, EMbase, China Biology Medicine, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, VIP, Wanfang Database, Taiwan Academic Online Database and Airiti Library. And reviewing the quality of the studies by using the tools for assessing risk of bias. RevMan 5.3 software was used for data analysis. Results Ten studies(2 randomized controlled trials and 8 quasi-experiments), including a total of 511 cases, were included. The results showed that group reminiscence therapy significantly improved the depression, life satisfaction, and self-esteem of institutionalized elderly (95%CI-1.11--0.56, 0.41-2.05, 1.99-3.82, all P<0.01). There was no statistically significant difference between group reminiscence therapy and usual nursing in relieving loneliness (P = 0.21). Conclusions Group reminiscence therapy can improve the depression in institutionalized elderly, decrease the degree of depression, improve the level of life satisfaction and self-esteem. But in the ease of loneliness has not been confirmed. The randomized controlled trials included in this study were rare and the quality of the literature was low, and large-scale randomized controlled trials of higher quality are needed to confirm this.
4.Proximal femoral nail versus dynamic hip screw fixation for intertrochanteric fracture in the elderly:complication rate in 12-month follow-up
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2014;(44):7146-7150
BACKGROUND:Internal fixation has been shown to decrease intertrochanteric fracture complications in the clinic and to improve quality of life of patients. The major method widely used in the clinic is the fixation of proximal femoral nail and dynamic hip screw.
OBJECTIVE:To observe the clinical effects of proximal femoral nail and dynamic hip screw in treatment of intertrochanteric fracture in the elderly.
METHODS:A total of 60 patients with intertrochanteric fracture were randomly divided into proximal femoral nail and dynamic hip screw groups (n=30), and they respectively received proximal femoral nail and dynamic hip screw fixation.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Compared with the dynamic hip screw group, operative time, blood loss, the incidence of complications one year after repair, fracture healing time and complications were lower in the proximal femoral nail group (P<0.05). After repair, the excellent and good rate of Harris hip scores was higher (P<0.05). No significant difference was detected in healing time of wound between the two groups (P>0.05). Results verified that compared with the dynamic hip screw fixation, the clinical effects of proximal femoral nail fixation were better, more safe and reliable in the treatment of intertrochanteric fracture in the elderly.

8.A Comparison of Recognizing Mild Cognitive Impairment Between Visual and Auditory Logical Memory
Chinese Journal of Clinical Psychology 1993;0(02):-
Objective: To compare the role in recognizing mild cognitive impairment of visual logical memory to auditory logical memory. Methods: 41 normal aged controls and 41 patients with mild cognitive impairment(MCI) were required to finish immediate recall and delay recall by visual and auditory logical memory test. Results: There was significant difference in immediate recall and delay recall between the two groups who received visual and auditory logical memory test, and the LM of visual logical memory test was superior to that of auditory one. Auditory logical memory-II could recognize more MCI individuals than visual logical memory-II. The accuracy of recognizing MCI by visual logical memory test was 88% when we set the standard score at 5 points, and 93% for auditory logical memory test with the standard score at 3 points. Conclusion: Delay recall of auditory logical memory test is the most sensitive one among all the logical memory tests for recognizing MCI.
9.DISTRIBUTION OF PARVALBUMIN IMMUNOREACTIVE NEURONS IN THE HIPPOCAMPAL FORMATION OF HUMAN FETUSES
Acta Anatomica Sinica 1957;0(04):-
Objective To observe the distribution of parvalbumin immunoreactive neurons in the hippocampal formation of human fetuses. Methods The distribution of parvalbumin immunoreactive neurons in the hippocampal formation of human fetuses at 30 week were investigated by ABC immunocytochemical technique. Results The abundant parvalbumin immunoreactive neurons were localized in all regions of hippocampal formation, especially in the stratum pyramidale. In the stratum oriens of CA1\|3, the triangle or shuttle parvalbumin immunoreactive neurons with some processes were smaller and scattered in this layer. In the stratum pyramidale, the parvalbumin immunoreactive neurons distributed densely, and the processes run out to the stratum oriens and stratum moleculare. In the stratum moleculare the parvalbumin immunoreactive neurons were sparser than in the stratum oriens and stratum moleculare. The parvalbumin immunoreactive neurons in hilus were denser in the hippocampal formation, compared with the other regions, however, delamination of them was not distinct. The processes of parvalbumin immunoreactive neurons run out to the dentate gyrus. The parvalbumin immunoreactive neurons in the dentate gyrus were mainly localized in the stratum granule. Few immunoreactive neurons distributed in the other layers, which were lightly stained and with no processes. In the subicular complex, the lightly stained neurons with few processes were mainly localized in the stratum pyramidale. Conclusion The abundant parvalbumin immunoreactive neurons presented in all regions of the hippocampal formation, especially in the stratum pyramidale. However, the ripe time of these neurons might be different, neurons in CA3 and hilus were earlier than in the dentate gyrus and subicular complex.
