Objective To study the effects of direct-current field stimulation on spinal cord motor neurons apoptosis after sciatic nerves transection. Methods In experimental group direct-current stimula tors were put into the relevant spinal cord segments and electric stimulation were given instantly after sciatic nervet ransection.In control group, the same st I mulator were put inside without courrent output.The spinal cord specimens were taken 1，4，7，14，28 days after operation. The morphology of the spinal cord motor neurons was observed with the methods of HE staining and light microscope.The spinal cord motor neurons were counted and analyzed with three-dimensional quantit ative method.The TUNEL staining of the specimens was performed simultaneously and the positive-stain spinal cord motor ne u rons were counted. Results 4，7，1 4 and 28 days af ter operation, the number of spinal cord motor neurons and the size of the neurons increased obviously with compare to the control group.The TUNEL staining positive spinalcord motor neurons decreased sign I ficantly according to the control group. Conclusion Direct-current stimu lation may have intervention effects on spinal cord neuron apoptosis after sciatic nerve transection.

Objective To explore the correlation between the psychological resilience levelwith the emotional regulation modeand personality characteristicin the patientwith gastricarcinomto provide the theoretical reference fothe intervention measure.MethodOne hundred and forty-seven patientwith gastricancewere selected athe research subject(gastricancegroup) and contemporaneou150 individualwith healthy physical examination in the outpatiendepartmenwere selected athe control group .The Connoand Davidson Resilience Scale(CD-RISC) ,Eysenck Personality Questionnaire(EPQ) and Emotion Regu-lation Scale were adopted to perform the investigation .The correlation between the psychological resilience levelwith the emotional regulation modeand personality characteristicwaanalyzed .ResultThe overall CD-RISscore in the gastricancegroup wa(59 .12 ± 9 .19) point,which belonged to the poorescope ;the personality characteristic,emotional regulation modeand psycho-logical resilience had statistical differencebetween the gastricancegroup and the control group (P＜0 .05);the multivariate Lo-gistiregression analysiresultshowed thathe introversion ,extroversion ,neuroticism ,catharsiregulation and depression regula-tion had largeinfluence on the lowepsychological resilience level in the patientwith gastricance(P＜0 .05);the psychological resilience in the patientwith gastricancewapositively correlated with the catharsiregulation and the depression regulation (r=0 .287 ,0 .136 ,P＜0 .05) and negatively correlated with the introversion ,extroversion and neuroticism (r= -0 .232 ,-0 .789 , P＜0 .05) .Conclusion The introversion ,extroversion ,neuroticism ,catharsiregulation and depression regulation are the importanfactorinfluencing the psychological resilience level .The multi-angle interventional measureshould be taken to improve the psy-chological resilience level in the patientwith gastricance.

Objective To explore the application value of real time three-dimensional echocardiography (RT-3DE) on right ventricular systolic function in patients with moderate and severe pulmonary hypertension (PH).Methods Twenty-five patients with moderate PH (group Ⅱ) and 25 patients with severe PH(group Ⅲ) were selected,30 normal cases were selected to be control group(group Ⅰ).Tricuspid annular systolic peak velocity (S'),right ventricular Tei index(RIMP),tricuspid annular planet systolic excursion(TAPSE) and right ventricular fractional area change(RVFAC) were measured by conventional ultrasound echocardiography.Right ventricular end diastolic volume (RVEDV),right ventricular end systolic volume (RVESV),right ventricular stroke volume (RVSV) and right ventricular ejection fraction (RVEF) were measured by RT-3DE.The correlation between all the parameters and pulmonary artery systolic blood pressure (PASP),and the correlation between RVEF and S',RIMP,TAPSE,RVFAC were analyzed respectively.Results The differences of RVEDV,RVESV,TAPSE,RVFAC in each group were all statistically significant (all P ＜0.01);RIMP,RVEF between group Ⅰ and group Ⅱ,as well as between group Ⅰ and group Ⅲ were statistically significant (all P ＜0.01);S',RVSV only between group Ⅰ and group Ⅲ was statistically significant (P ＜0.01).The correlation coefficients of RVEF and RIMP,S',TAPSE,RVFAC were-0.707,0.402,0.574,0.763,respectively (all P ＜ 0.01).The best parameters associated with RVEF in each group were RVFAC,RIMP,RVFAC,which correlation coefficients were 0.787,-0.679,0.744,respectively (all P ＜0.01).Conclusions RT-3DE is a objective and accurate method to evaluate the right ventricular volume and RVEF in patients with moderate and severe PH,and it can select out the sensitive indicators to evaluate those patients' right ventricular systolic function from conventional echocardiographic parameters,provide important reference value for clinical.

Objective To evaluate the relationship between the change of the aortomitral angle (AMA) with left ventricular systolic function in patients with ischemic cardiomyopathy (ICM) by echocardiography.Methods Thirty-one patients were enrolled in the ICM group,and 59 healthy subjects were selected as the control group.On the parasternal left ventricular long axis plane,AMA were measured at the R wave apex (R-AMA),J-point(J-AMA),ST-segment midpoint(ST-AMA),T-final wave (T-AMA)and P-final wave (P-AMA).The angle difference(⊿ θ) =AMAmax-AMAmin,the angle changing rate =⊿ θ/AMAmax.The global left ventricular longitudinal strain (GLS) and global circumferential strain (GCS) were obtained by 2D-speckle tracking echocardiography.Left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),left ventricular end-diastolic volume(LVEDV) and left ventricular end-systolic volume(LVESV) were measured using Simpson biplane method.Results The J-AMA was the largest in the control group,while the ST-AMA was the largest in the ICM group.The levels of LVEDV,LVESV and AMA in ICM group were significantly higher than those in control group,while LVEF,GLS,GCS,⊿ θ/AMAmax and ⊿ θ were decreased (P ＜0.05).In the control group,there was a correlation between T-AMA and LVEF (r =-0.349,P =0.007),and ⊿ θ was negatively correlated with GLS (r =-0.372,P =0.004).In the ICM group,⊿1 θ/AMAmax and ⊿ θ were correlated with LVEF (r =0.424,P =0.018;r =0.490,P =0.005).Conclusions AMA in ICM patients is significantly increased.The angle difference and the rate of its change are closely related to the LVEF,which is a manifestation of three-dimensional structure change of the myocardial.

In order to analyze the immunogenicity of the recombinant EG95s protein ,the recombinant plasmids of pET-1EG95s ,pET-2EG95s and pET-3EG95s which containing respectively 1 ,2 ,and 3 copies EG95s were induced to express HIS-1EG95s ,HIS-2EG95s and HIS-3EG95s ,and then the proteins were purified and identified by western-blotting .The same im-mune process was used ,and 8 weeks-old BALB/c mice were immunized ,then its immunogenicity was analyzed by detecting an-tibody levels in mice by indirect ELISA method .Results showed that for recombinant EG95s proteins after transformation , HIS-1EG95s ,HIS-2EG95s ,and HIS-3EG95s also retained immunogenicity and could induce specific antibodies in mice .One week's late after the first immunization with HIS-1EG95s ,the antibody level of was significantly higher than HIS-2EG95s and HIS-3EG95s .But began from 2 weeks after immunization ,the antibody level of HIS-3EG95s was always higher than that of HIS-1EG95s group during the period of the immune .Both the final antibody titers after immunization of HIS-1EG95s and HIS-2EG95s groups was 1∶819 200 ,while HIS-3EG95s group was 1∶163 840 0 .HIS-1EG95s ,HIS-2EG95s and HIS-3EG95s all induced IFN-γin immune mice ,but the difference was not significant .The HIS-1EG95s showed lower response to Echinococ-cus granulosus positive serum than HIS-2EG95s and HIS-3EG95s .It’s indicated that the HIS-1EG95s and HIS-3EG95s also had good immunogenicity .HIS-3EG95s make recombinant protein immunic effects more lasting ,and benefit to generate more long-lasting protective immunity .This study provides the scientific basis for the immunization of echinococcosis (hydatidosis) .

Objective To evaluate the aortomitral angle(AMA)changes in primary hypertension patients with left ventricular normal configuration (LVN) by echocardiography,and explore the correlation with left ventricular systolic function.Methods LVN group included 54 patients,control group included 79 healthy subjects.All subjects were examined by conventional echocardiography,the 2-dimensional gray-scale dynamic images of 5 consecutive cardiac cycles were collected by routine echocardiography;from parasternal left ventricular long axis,the related AMA at the starting isovolumic contraction time (S-IVCT),S-wave peak(SP),starting isovolumic relaxation time(S-IVRT),and starting-end diastole(SD) were measured respectively based on the tissue Doppler imaging,calculating the angle difference(⊿θ) as well as the rate of the angle change.The global systolic longitudinal strain(GLS) and circumferential strain (GCS) of left ventricle were measured by 2-dimensional speckle tracking and quantitative analysis software.Left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) was measured by Simpson′s biplane method.Results Compared with control group,the ⊿θ and AMA of each phases in cardiac cycles of LVN group were increased (P<0.05);Compared with control group,the GCS of the left ventricular was increased in LVN group (P<0.05).There was a correlation between AMA of the S-IVCT and that of GLS or GCS,and the LVEF of the left ventricular in the control group (r=-0.18,P=0.04;r=-0.17,P=0.04;r=-0.19,P=0.03).Conclusions AMA angle in patients with LVN is significantly greater than the normal population value,which may be to maintain effective left ventricular systolic function and could be used as an quantitative indicator to assess the left ventricular remodeling in patients with LVN.

Objective To discuss the treatment of periprosthetic femoral fractures (PFF) with unstable prosthesis by replacement of long-stem femoral prosthesis and internal fixation.Methods From December 2005 to December 2014,15 PFF patients with unstable prosthesis (15 hips) following were treated at our department.They were 10 men and 5 women,aged from 64 to 89 years (mean,76.2 years).Their primary surgeries included total hip arthroplasty in 13 cases and biological bi-polar replacement of femoral head in 2.Two prostheses were cement and 13 biological.By Vancouver classification,9 cases were type B2,and 6 type B3.The unstable prostheses in the 15 cases were replaced by long-stem femoral ones,followed by internal fixation.At the last follow-ups,clinical outcome were evaluated by Harris scoring and images of PFF by Beals & Tower criteria.Complications were documented.Results One died 4 months after operation.The other 14 patients were followed up for an average of 4.5 years (from 6 months to 9 years).Fracture union was achieved in 12 cases after an average of 3.9 months (from 3 to 9 months).Nonunion occurred in 2 cases.Imaging evaluation revealed 9 excellent cases,3 good ones and 2 poor ones.The Harris scores at the last follow-up averaged was 82.3 points (from 50 to 100 points).Deep vein thrombosis occurred preoperatively in one case and posterior tibial vein thrombosis occurred in 2 cases respectively on day 3 and day 10 postoperatively.No such complications occurred as malunion,fixation failure,dislocation or prosthesis loosening.Conclusion Satisfactory outcomes can be achieved by replacement of long-stem femoral prosthesis combined with appropriate fixation for treatment of PFF with unstabrosthesis.

Objective:To explore the treatment of iatrogenic injury to the medial collateral ligament (MCL) in total knee arthroplasty (TKA).Methods:From January 2009 to December 2016, 14 patients were treated at Department of Arthropathy, Zhengzhou Orthopedics Hospital for iatrogenic MCL injury in primary TKA (injury group). They were 3 males and 11 females with an age of (72.6±3.9) years. The MCL injury was body rapture in 9 cases and avulsion of femoral insertion in 5 ones. Interlacing suture was used for body rapture and reparative reconstruction with wire anchors or nails was performed for avulsion of femoral insertion. A restrictive condylar prosthesis was used instead in the 4 patients whose medial stability failed to be restored after repair of body rapture. A control group of 21 cases was enrolled who had suffered from no iatrogenic MCL injury in primary TKA at the corresponding period. There were 5 males and 16 females with an age of (73.2±3.9) years. The 2 groups were compared in terms of American Knee Society Score (KSS) and knee flexion.Results:There was no significant difference between the 2 groups in preoperative general data, showing comparability between groups ( P>0.05). The injury group was followed up for 18 to 36 months (mean, 33 months). Joint loosening was observed at 18 months after operation in 3 patients with nonrestrictive prosthesis who had to receive secondary revision. At the 36-month follow-up of the remaining 11 patients, normal knee extension and flexion was observed, the stress test of valgus showed no inner relaxation, their KSS increased significantly from preoperative 50.0±22.7 to 93.3±4.7, and their knee flexion was improved significantly from 90.4°±10.3° to 110.7°±8.8° ( P<0.05). There were no significant differences in KSS score or knee flexion between the 2 groups at 3, 6, 12 or 36 months after operation ( P>0.05). Conclusion:Iatrogenic MCL injury in primary TKA should be repaired and reconstructed by one-stage surgery because the patients can achieve curative results similar to those for the patients free from iatrogenic MCL injury in primary TKA.

We report here a human case of Taenia asiatica infection which was confirmed by genetic analyses in Dali, China. A patient was found to have symptoms of taeniasis with discharge of tapeworm proglottids. By sequencing of the mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit 1 (cox1) gene, we observed nucleotide sequence identity of 99% with T. asiatica and 96% with T. saginata. Using the cytochrome b (cytb) gene, 99% identity with T. asiatica and 96% identity with T. saginata were found. Our findings suggest that taeniasis of people in Dali, China may be mainly caused by T. asiatica.
