Chinese Journal of Immunology 1986;0(04):-
The suppressive effects of T. reglii on mouse cellular and humoral immune responses were studied. Lymphocyte proliferation effect induced with ConA,and PFC and OHS reactions with TD Ag(TNP-SRBC)were effectively suppressed by the drug. But the similar effects on LPS and TI Ag (TNP-SRBC) have not been found. The results shown that target cells of T. reglii effects may be T lymphocytes and the drug may not have a direct effect on B cells. The drug also shown a suppressive effect on IL-2 production by mouse spleen cells. The phenomenon suggests that the suppressive effects of T. reglii on humoral immune response may be indirectly mediated through suppressing helper T cells.

Objective To study the effect of thyrotrophin releasing hormone (TRH) analogue, YM14673, on the brain edema and blood brain barrier after brain injury in rat. Methods The model of brain injury of rats was built by Feeney's methods. The Evans blue solution had been injected i.v. into the rats before the models were made. The rats were divided into four groups: normal, treated with saline, treated with YM14673(Ⅰ:0.1mg/kg and Ⅱ:1mg/kg). The water content in brain was measured 24 h after brain injured. The concentration of Evans blue in brain tissue and blood was measured with fluorometry. Results The rats treated with saline after traumatic injury showed significantly high water content compared with normal group(P<0.01)and the water content of the left hemisphere, which was hit straightly, was higher significantly than that of the right global(P<0.01). The brain water content decreased in the rats treated with YM14673 in all global(P<0.05).There was no significant different between the treated group Ⅰ and groupⅡ.After brain injury, the concentration of Evans blue in brain tissue showed a higher level contrasted with normal group. YM14673 did not influence the concentration of Evans blue in brain tissue. Conclusion YM14673 can decrease the brain edema after brain injury but it cannot decrease the permeability of blood brain barrier.

ObjectiveTo study the effect of testing amino acids levels in brain microdialysate by method of high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with α-aminobutyric acid (AABA) as the internal standard.MethodsReversed phase high performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC), orthophthaladehyde (OPA) precolumn derivatization method and fluorescence detector were used. The separation was performed using an ODS-C18 column. AABA, an isomeric compound of GABA, served as the internal standard, phosphate buffer solution and methanol as the mobile phase, gradient elution lasted in 35 min.Results7 kinds of amino acids and internal standard were separated completely. The mean recovery of amino acid was 88.2%—102.3%. The mean correlation coeffeicient of the linear relationship was 0.998±0.0015.Limits of detection for amino acids were 1.0—8.6 ppm respectively.ConclusionThe method mentioned above is simple and sensitive for operation, and can be used for determined levels of amino acids in microdialysate.

OBJECTIVETo determine the role of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase--protein kinase B (PI3K-Akt) signaling pathway in the pro- tective effect of aerobic endurance training on the skeletal muscular mitochondria.
METHODSThirty-six rats were randomly divided into three groups( n = 12): control group, aerobic endurance training group and one-time exhaustive group. After the intervention, the quadriceps femoris muscle sample was obtained to detect the mitochondrial membrane potential( MMP), the activities of succinate dehydrogenase (SDH) and cy- tochrome coxidase (COX), and the protein levels of p-PI3K and p-Akt.
RESULTSCompared with the control group, the levels of mitochondrial membrane potential, the activities of succinate dehydrogenase and cytochrome coxidase, and the protein levels of p-PI3K and p-Akt were all significantly decreased in the one-time exhaustive group (P < 0.05). However, all the above was partially reversed in the endurance training group (P < 0.05), and there was no obvious difference with the control group (P > 0.05).
CONCLUSIONAerobic endurance training plays an important role in the protective effect on the skeletal muscular mitochondria, the mechanism may be related to activation PI3K-Akt signaling pathway.

Progress in Modern Biomedicine 2017;17(25):4967-4970,4966
Objective:To investigate the application value of real-time ultrasound elastography in the treatment of fibroids radiofrequency ablation (RFA).Methods:Transvaginal ultrasonography,Real-time ultrasound elastography (RTE) and contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (CEUS) were performed on 34 patients with a total of 38 uterine fibroids who had the treatment of RFA before,1 hour and 3 months after the treatment of RFA.Detected the diameters of the lesions with the three methods of CEUS,RTE and 2D.Analysed the elastic image features and divided into groups,Measured the elastic strain ratio and compared the E/E0 in and between the group. The difference of lesion diameter between 2D,RTE and CEUS was compared. When the image of lesions showed blue and green was taken as the cirterion of incomplete ablation after RFA,conpared with CEUS,analysed the consistency of RTE and CEUS in evaluating the degree of ablation. Results:The lesions were divided into 3 groups according to the preoperative elastic image, with 8 (21.1%) in the blue group,20 (52.6%) in blue-based and 10 (26.3%) in green-based group. The difference was obvious in E/E0 between the 3 groups before RFA.There was no significant difference in E/E0 between 1 hour and 3 months after RFA (P > 0.05).In each group the E/E0 of lesions were significantly increased at 1 hour and 3 months after the treatment of FRA,and the hardness of 3 months after RFA was harder than that of 1 hour after RFA(P<0.05).The diameter measured by RTE was larger than that by 2D and CEUS before RFA(P>0.05).The diameter measured by 2D was larger than that by RTE and CEUS at 1 hour after RFA (P<0.05).No statistically significant difference was found in the lesion diameters among the three methods of2D,RTE and CEUS at 3 months after the treatment ofRFA (P>0.05).CEUS and RTE had the basic consistent in the evaluation of lesions ablation degree at 1 hour (kappa=0.46) and 3 months (kappa=0.54) after the treatment of RFA.Conclusions:After RFA,the myoma gradually hardens, and RTE can reflect the change of the hardness,RTE can clearly show the boundary of uterine ftbroids especially after the treatment of RFA,can be used in the prediction of lesions ablation degree,so there was a certain application value of RTE used in RFA.

OBJECTIVE:To observe the changes of heart type fatty binding protein (H-FABP) and brain natriuretic peptide (BNP)when carvedilol and bisoprolol in the treatment of elderly patients with chronic heart failure(CHF). METHODS:110 CHF patients were randomly assigned into carvedilol group and bisoprolol group (n=55). Carvedilol group was given carvedilol 3.125 mg,bid, doubling dose every 2 weeks to reach target dose 25mg or maximum tolerant dose;bisoprolol group was given bisoprolol 1.25 mg,qd,doubling dose every 2 weeks to reach target dose 10 mg or maximum tolerant dose. Treatment course lasted for 6 months. Clinical effective rate of 2 groups were observed after treatment. Echocardiography was used to measure the changes of LVEDD,LVEF,SBP and DBP before and after treatment. The plasma concentration of BNP and H-FABP were measured by radio-immunoassay. RESULTS:After treatment, total effective rate of carvedilol group(96.4%)was higher than that of bisoprolol group (89.2%),with statistical significance(P<0.05). Compared with before treatment, the levels of LVEDD,LVEF,BNP,H-FABP, SBP and DBP in 2 groups were all decreased significantly after treatment, with statistical significance (P<0.01 or P<0.05). CON-CLUSIONS:Both carvedilol and bisoprolol can significantly improve cardiac function, but carvedilol efficacy is more significant. At the same time, significant decrease of H-FABP before and after treatment indicate that H-FABP can be used as a reliable index of heart failure treatment effect.
