Objective To explore the role of depression as a moderator of self-concept on self-care behaviors in patients with chronic heart failure(CHF).Methods A sample of 160 in-patients with CHF were recruited from a cardiovascular hospital in Beijing.Data were collected by self-report questionnaires assessing self-care behaviors,self-concept and depression.Analysis of Moment Structures (AMOS) version 17.0 software was used to conduct the path analyses. Results Body sensation,self-consistency,self-ideal,moral-ethical-spiritual self and depression revealed direct effects on self-care behavior.Body sensation,self-ideal,moral-ethical-spiritual self affected self-care indirectly via depression. These paths' total coefficients were 0.09,0.15,0.31,0.09 and -0.26,respectively.Conclusion Self-care behaviors are directly affected by self-concept and depression.Depression has a greater moderating effect on these relationships. The findings provide a theoretical basis to direct the development of interventions for improving self-care in individuals with heart failure.

Objective To strengthen resource conformity of army hospital literature information resource, promote application development of information integration, and avoid the resource redundant construction and the information resource waste. Methods The architecture with data interchanges as platform was designed by Web Services technology based on optimization integration information resource of army literature and XML. Results Through optimization integration information resource of army literature, the platform architecture of literature information resource architecture with data interchanges as platform was completed. Conclusion The system can strengthen up information communication in army hospital systems and has practical significance for effective information organization, management and development.

ObjectiveTo standardize the service for mental disability in community, and evaluate scientifically the effect of rehabilitation measures and social factors on the prognosis of disease.MethodsIn the communities selected by cluster sampling method, family-social rehabilitation service was established. The observe groups or specified observers were selected by the community committee, and the maintenance treatment and rehabilitation evaluation were made by psychiatrists.ResultsAfter community rehabilitation treatment, schizophrenia could be compliant with maintenance treatment, which led to satisfactory social function evaluation and rehabilitation result. Conclusion Community rehabilitation treatment could increase the compliance with medical treatment and decrease the occurrence of relapse.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the relation of the viral markers in serum and those expressed by hepatocytes to pathological lesions of hepatic tissue in patients with chronic hepatitis B.
METHODSThe relation of viral markers including HBsAg, HBsAb, HBeAg, HBeAb, HBcAb and HBV DNA in serum of 647 patients with chronic hepatitis B and HBsAg, HBcAg expressed by hepatocytes in 418 of these patients to pathological lesions of hepatic tissue was determined.
RESULTSViral markers in serum and those expressed by hepatocytes in patients with chronic hepatitis B were closely correlated with pathological lesions of hepatic tissue.
CONCLUSIONThe degree of inflammation and fibrosis in hepatic tissue is milder in serum HBsAg, HBeAb, HBcAb positive and HBV DNA negative patients but more serious in those with negative hepatocytic expression of HBsAg and HBcAg. HBV DNA is not significantly associated with pathological lesions of hepatic tissue.

Expression of HLA class Ⅱ antigens(HLA-DR, DQ and DP), interleukin2 receptors(IL-2R) and transferrin receptors(TfR) of blood monocytes from 10 patients with insulin-dependent diabetes meIlitus (IDDM) were assayed with the indirect immune fluorescence technique using corresponding monoclonal antibodies and the FITC-labelled second antibody. The results showed that the number of HLA-DQ~+ monocytes was much more in diabetics than in normal controls. The percentages of HLA-DR~+ and HLA-DP~+ monocytes in diabetics were not different significantly from those in normal controls. Besides, IL-2R~+ and TfR~+ monocytes were also found to be very much increased in diabetics as compared with controls. It was possible that increased expression of HLA-DQ antigen, IL-2R and TfR of monocytes in patients with IDDM might play a role in the pathogenesis of the autoimmune reaction.

The intubation of conventional transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) probes into patients causes serious esophagus irritation, and thus the use of TEE probes in pediatric practice is limited. In this study,we aimed at the development of a special probe which could be inserted through the nasopharyngeal cavity into the esophagus to obtain the same high-quality echocardiography images as those obtained by conventional TEE and improve patients' experience.During the examination, the patients felt relaxed for a longer time and cooperated with the sonographers in the process of cardiac catheterization conducted in the surgery room or the intensive care unit (ICU),resulting in improved accuracy of the diagnosis and timely administration of appropriate treatment. Two years ago,Prof.Xin-fang WANG put theories into practice by inserting the probe through the nasal cavity and pharynx into the esophagus of volunteers to successfully detect the heart and great vessels at the retrocardiac space.Later,Prof.Ming-xing XIE performed the transnasal TEE examination in 12 atrial septal defect (ASD) patients and proved the safety and reliability of this method, which could become a new way for clinical diagnosis and treatment.
