BACKGROUND:Major complication after total hip replacement was instability in the form of dislocation. The probability of above complications has a great relationship with the mistakes of the angle of acetabular cup prosthesis. OBJECTIVE:To explore the influence of angle of acetabular cup in total hip replacement on the safety of joint flexion and extension. METHODS: A total of 60 patients, who underwent total hip replacement in the Wujin Hospital Affiliated to Jiangsu University from January 2012 to December 2014, were enroled in this study. Three dimensional directional monitoring device, CT scanning and image processing tools were used to preset the angle of the acetabular cup and to set abduction angle and anteversion angle. Test data were recorded and subjected to statistical analysis. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Acetabular cup was implanted under five different conditions: abduction angle 45°, anteversion angle 15°; abduction angle 60°, anteversion angle 15°; abduction angle 30°, anteversion angle 15°; abduction angle 45°, anteversion angle 5°; abduction angle 45°, anteversion angle 25°. According to statistics, in the patients with anteversion angle of 15°, when the acetabular cup was placed, the bigger the abduction angle, the bigger the range of abduction angle of the acetabular cup induced by pelvic tilt was. If the anteversion angle increased, the anteversion angle of the acetabular cup was reduced. With the increased pelvic tilt angle, the anteversion angle of the acetabular cup was big. Moreover, in patients with anteversion angle of 15°, the anteversion angle of the acetabular cup should keep consistent. When the abduction angle of the acetabular cup increased, the range of anteversion angle of the acetabular cup induced by pelvic tilt was diminished. These data showed that the abduction angle and anteversion angle of the acetabular cup have mutual restriction. When the acetabular cup was placed, big anteversion angle (15±10)° can wrap the femoral head, reduce the incidence of dislocation, and make flexion and extension safe.

ObjectiveTo study the clinical characteristics and laboratory ifndings ofMycoplasma pneumoniae (MP) and EBV infection in children and provide reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment.MethodsOne hundred and twenty two (122) hospitalized children with pathogen detection of MP and EBV double positive in hospitalized children with pneumonia from May 2013 to April 2014 (n=2213) were recruited as mixed infection group. In the mixed infection group, patients were further devided into high EBV mixed infection group if the EBV DNA copies were more than 1.0×104 copies/ml and the low EBV mixed infec-tion group when EBV DNA copies were less than 1.0×104 copies/ml. And another 45 hospitalized children with MP pneumonia were rectuited as control group. Clinical data and laboratory ifndings of all children were collected and analyzed. Results The mixed infection rate of MP and EBV was 5.51% (122/2213). As children getting older, the incidence of mixed infection was increased (χ2=84.08,P<0.001). And the mixed infection incidence in the lobar pneumonia group was signiifcantly higher than the bronchopneumonia group (χ2=37.44,P<0.001). The incidence of ALT and CK-MB elevated, lobar pneumonia, average fever days and hospitalization days in mixed infection with the high EBV copies group were signiifcantly higher than those in the low EBV copies group and the control group (bothP<0.05). The incidence of ALT and CK-MB elevated, average fever days and hos-pitalization days in mixed infection with the high EBV copies group were signiifcantly higher than those of the low EBV copies group and the control group (allP<0.05).ConclusionThe mixed infection of MP and EBV could aggravate the injury both in and out of the lung. Number of EBV copies plays an important role in the degree of injury both inside and outside the lung due to pneumonia with mixed infection of MP and EBV. When a patient with MP pneumonia complains with severe clinical symptoms and obvious injury outside the lung, EBV detection, especially quantitative detection of EBV DNA copies could be beneifcial for clinical diagnosis and treatment.

OBJECTIVETo study the association of single nucleotide polymorphism at interleukin-10 gene 1082 locus with Helicobacter pylori (Hp) infection and the risk of gastric cancer in high prevalent region (Shaanxi Province)aand low prevalence region (Guangdong Province) in China.
METHODSThe genomic DNA was extracted from the peripheral blood of 104 healthy individuals, 104 gastric cancer patients from Guangdong Province, and from 102 healthy volunteers and 102 gastric cancer patients in Shaanxi Province, China. The single nucleotide polymorphism at IL-10 gene 1082 locus was analyzed by polymerase chain reaction and restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP). The serum levels of anit-Hp IgG was measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.
RESULTSThe frequencies of IL-10-1082 A/A, A/G and G/G genotypes in the 412 subjects were 86.7%, 10.7% and 2.4%, respectively. In the low prevalence region, the number of carriers of IL-10-1082 G* was much greater in the cancer patients than in the healthy controls (14.4% vs 7.7%, Chi2=4.02, P<0.05, OR=1.01, 95% CI=1.08-3.10). The presence of IL-10-1082 G* was associated with significantly increased risk of gastric cancer following Hp infection (Chi(2)=5.36, P<0.05, OR=6.0, 95% CI=1.23-17.52). In the high prevalence region, the frequency of IL-10-1082 G* was slightly higher among the cancer patients than in the healthy controls, but this difference was not statistically significant (12.7% vs 16.6%, P>0.05).
CONCLUSIONThe G* genotype of IL-10 gene 1082 locus may be associated with increased risk of gastric cancer in China.
