Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of acupoint injection with salmon calcitonin for back pain in elderly patients with primary osteoporosis. Methods: A total of 76 patients were selected and randomly divided into two groups by the random number table method, with 39 cases in the treatment group and 37 cases in the control group, respectively. Patients in both groups received routine anti-osteoporosis treatment. Patients in the treatment group received additional acupoint injection with salmon calcitonin at bilateral Pishu (BL 20) and Shenshu (BL 23), while patients in the control group received additional intramuscular injection with salmon calcitonin. The treatments for both groups were given once a day and lasted for 4 weeks. Visual analog scale (VAS) and Chinese Oswestry disability index (CODI) scores were observed before treatment, after 2 weeks and 4 weeks of treatment, and the use of analgesics during the treatment were recorded. Results: After treatment, the clinical efficacy in the treatment group was more significant than that in the control group (P<0.05). After 2 weeks and 4 weeks of treatment, the VAS scores in both groups showed significant intra-group and between-group differences (all P<0.05), and the CODI scores in both groups showed significant intra-group differences (all P<0.05). After 2 weeks of treatment, the CODI score showed no significant between-group difference (P>0.05). After 4 weeks of treatment, the improvement of CODI score in the treatment group was more significant than that in the control group (P<0.05). During the treatment, 2 cases in the treatment group took analgesics versus 8 cases in the control group, and the result showed a significant between-group difference (P<0.05). Conclusion: For back pain in elderly patients with primary osteoporosis, based on the routine treatment of oral medication, the clinical efficacy of acupoint injection with salmon calcitonin at bilateral Pishu (BL 20) and Shenshu (BL 23) is more significant than that of intramuscular injection. Acupoint injection treatment can improve patients' conditions and reduce the use of analgesics.

Objective To synthesize 99Tcm- (hydrazinonictinamide- [Lys3] -bombesin) (tricine)(trisodium triphenylphosphine-3,3',3"-trisulfonate) ((HYNIC-[Lys3]-BBS) (tricine) (TPPTS)) and evaluate its biodistribution and binding capability with tumor tissue in Balb/c nude mice bearing human pancreatic cancer xenografts. Methods HYNIC was conjugated to the [Lys3] -BBS at pH = 9.0 with SnCl2 as reducing agent and both tricine and TPPTS as coligands for 99Tcm-labeling. 99Tcm-HYNIC-[Lys3]-BBS)(tricine) (TPPTS) was purified by Sep-Pak C18 cartridge and was analysed by HPLC. The radiochemical purity and radiolabeling yield were measured. The stability of 99Tcm-(HYNIC-[Lys3]-BBS) (tricine)(TPPTS) in serum, biodistribution (% ID/g) in the normal mice and imaging of the Balb/c nude mice bearing human pancreatic cancer xenografts in vivo were studied. Results The radiolabeling yield was (90 ±2)% and the radiochemical purity was over 95%. The radiochemical purity after 4 h in serum was over 85%. The distribution in normal mice showed rapid clearance from blood (the uptake was (0.07 ±0.01) %ID/g at 2 h postinjection). 99Tcm-(HYNIC-[Lys3]-BBS) (tricine) (TPPTS) was excreted mainly via the kidney with little radioactivity accumulation in the liver and gastrointestinal tract (the uptake of liver, stomach, intestine was (0.27 ±0.03), (0.06 ±0.03), (0.04 ±0.00) %ID/g at 2 h postinjection). Marked uptake of radioactivity was found in tumor tissue of the Balb/c nude mice bearing human pancreatic cancer with maximum T/NT ratio of 3.71 ± 0.57 at 2 h postinjection. Conclusions 99Tcm-(HYNIC-[Lys3]-BBS)(tricine) (TPPTS) can be easily prepared with high radiolabeling yield and radiochemical purity. The stability in serum and good biodistribution charateristics make it useful for the diagnosis of human pancreatic cancer with over-expression of the gastric-releasing peptide(GRP) receptor.

Objective:To detect the oipA gene of Helicobacter pylori(Hp)strains NCTC11637 and Hp1,Hp2 isolated from clinical biopsies, analyze their nucleotide sequences and make a homologous comparison of nucleotide with Hp 26695.Methods:The oipA gene was detected with PCR in Helicobacter pylori(Hp)strains NCTC11637 and Hp1,Hp2 isolated from clinical gastric biopsies after routine culture. Then PCR products were sent out for nucleotide sequence analysis and compared with Hp 26695.Results:The sequence of the aim gene was obtained in NCTC11637 and Hp1,Hp2 and was made a homologous comparison of nucleotide with 26695.The number of mutation of NCTC11637,Hp1 and Hp2 and was 48,48,50 respectively. The identity was 94%,94% and 94% respectively, while the strain Hp1 was most identical to 11637 as much as 100%.The homology of Hp2 and 11637 was 97%.Conclusion:Hp1,Hp2 and NCTC11637 expresse gene oipA,but the sequences of gene oipA of different strains are distinct.

Objective To analyze the clinical efficacy of endovenous laser treatment combined with transilluminated powered phlebectomy for great saphenous varicosity and summarize the experiencein order to achieve better results. Methods From January 2014 to June 2015,45 patients (52 limbs, including 17 males and 28 females, aged 36 to 68 years) diagnosed as great saphenous varicosity received endovenous laser treatment combined with transilluminated powered phlebectomy.Thirty-eight cases was unilateral great saphenous vafcose veins,7 cases was bilateral large saphenous varicose veins. The clinical efficacy was analyzed. Results All cases were performed successfully. The mean operation time was (68.4 ± 15.1) minutes, the average bleeding volume was (23.5 ± 10.7) ml,the number of mean operative incision quantity was (5.8 ± 1.9) and the average hospitalization time was (5.9 ± 1.6) days. All patients had no serious complications.During a mean follow-up time of 22 months (12 to 30 months),only one patient recurred. Conclusions Endovenous laser treatment combined with transilluminated powered phlebectomy for great saphenous varicosity is effective and safe.It also has the advantages of shorter operation time, less bleeding, shorter hospitalization time, small trauma and better cosmetic results.

Objective: To study the immunologic protection of selenium on gastric mucosal lesions of BALB/C mice infected by Helicobacter pylori (HP). Method:The model was built by ig HP in BALB/C mice and then effects of selenium on gastric mucosal lesions and the CD4、CD8 cells were observed.HP was examined by both of bacterial culture and rapid usease test (RUT). Results:1.0 ?g/g bw selenium could effectively prevent gastric mucosal damages induced by HP. HP could decreased the ratio of CD4 to CD8,but selenium could enhance the activity of CD4 cell and increase the ratio. Conclusion: Se can effectively prevent the gastric mucosal damages of mice infected by HP. One of the mechanisms is that Se can enhance the CD4 activity and increase CD4 /CD8.

Objective To explore the changes of weight, body mass index(MBI),serum glucose, serum insulin in sodium valproate(VPA)-treated children with epilepsy. Methods The study was carried out in 30 epileptic children treated with VPA for 3 months.Weight, height, serum glucose and insulin levels were conducted before and after VPA treatment.Serum insulin levels were detected by radioimmunoassay. Results After 3 months' treatment, body weight [(15.68?3.82)kg vs(19.64?4.75)kg,t=3.56 P0.05].Conclusions VPA therapy can make insuline weight,BMI,serum insulin increased and may lead to insulin resistance.Insulin resistance may be one of the reasons for weight gain in VPA-treated patients.
