0.1), the results suggested that the stiffness of resistant torque of ITBW was similar to that of CW. In the bending test, in order to give rise to the fragmental displacement of 2.30? induced by bending load, the bending force of 3.3Nm was needed in ITBW fixation, and was 1.9 Nm greater than CW fixation, so stiffness resistant to bending of ITBW was 2.3 times of that of CW. The patients were followed up from 6 to 78 months, with an average of 38 months. There were no complications of nerve and vessels injury, infection and wire or nails loosening. Varus elbow happened in 2 cases, the mean varus angel was less than 5?. 2 cases and All the cases treated with ITBW healed uneventfully with good functions, there were excellent 32 cases and good 12 cases according to the Flynn evaluation system. Conclusion The fixation effect of ITBW is much better than that of CW. The stability provided by ITBW makes external fixation unnecessary and allows for early mobilization of the elbow. The ITBW technique is in satisfactory agreement with biomechanical principle. It is valuable for widely clinical application.

International Eye Science 2017;17(10):1871-1873
Myopia is not only a global public health problem, but also a significant socio-economic problem. There are various hypotheses about the pathogenesis of myopia, which is basically the result of the combination of environmental and genetic factors. Although a large number of epidemiological studies have been carried out on the influencing factors of myopia, most of them are cross-sectional studies, longitudinal cohort studies are relatively few. This paper will summarize the influencing factors of myopia at homeland and abroad in recent years.

Objective:To investigate the expression of microRNA (miR)-938, its effect on cell proliferation and its regulatory mechanism in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).Methods:HCC and paracancerous tissues were collected from 40 patients with HCC who underwent surgical resection in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nantong University from January 2015 to June 2019, including 25 males and 15 females, with an average age of 61.4 years. HepG2 cells in the miR-938 overexpression group were transfected with miR-938 mimics, and the negative control group was transfected with the negative control sequence. Cell proliferation was detected by kit, the expression of miR-938 and the succinate dehydrogenase complex subunit D (SDHD) was detected by fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction, and SDHD protein expression was detected by Western blot. The target genes of miR-938 were verified by dual luciferase reporting. Results:The relative expression of miR-938 in HCC tissues was (0.060±0.002), which was higher than that in adjacent tissues (0.030±0.002), and the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05). The mRNA relative expression of SDHD in HCC tissues was (0.028±0.002), lower than that in adjacent tissues (0.062±0.002), and the protein expression of SDHD in HCC tissues was (0.963±0.008), lower than that in adjacent tissues (1.083±0.037), with statistical significance (both P<0.05). The proliferation activity of miR-938 overexpression group was significantly higher than that of negative control group, and the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05). MiR-938 significantly inhibited the luciferase activity of SDHD wild-type 3’-untranslated regions. In the overexpression miR-938 cells, SDHD mRNA and protein levels were significantly lower than those in the negative control group ( P<0.05). Conclusion:MiR-938 was highly expressed in HCC tissues. MiR-938 promoted the proliferation of HCC cells by inhibiting the expression of SDHD.

OBJECTIVETo study the numbers and locations of spermatic veins, testicular arteries, and lymphatic vessels in the spermatic cord of the varicocele patient under the laparoscope.
METHODSFifty-seven varicocele patients received laparoscopic ligation of spermatic veins, during which we recorded the numbers and observed the locations of spermatic veins, testicular arteries, and spermatic lymphatic vessels.
RESULTSDuring the surgery, we identified 3.3 ± 1.2 spermatic veins, 1.4 ± 0.9 testicular arteries, and 4.3 ± 1.1 spermatic lymphatic vessels. No statistically significant differences were observed between the two side in the numbers of the spermatic veins, testicular arteries and spermatic lymphatic vessels (P > 0.05). The testicular arteries were seen on the exterior of the spermatic veins and winding around them, while the spermatic lymphatic vessels mostly between the veins.
CONCLUSIONThe spermatic veins, testicular arteries, and lymphatic vessels in the spermatic cord of the varicocele patient have their specific anatomic characteristics. Laparoscopic identification of these vessels may contribute to the surgical treatment of varicocele.

Objective To investigate the effects of D-tryptophan (D-Trp) on the formation of Streptococcus mutans (S. mutans) biofilm and the dispersal of 24 h-old biofilm, and the drug susceptibility of S. mutans against chlorhexidine (CHX) under the role of D-Trp. Methods Optical density assay was used to evaluate the growth curve of S. mutans exposed to 5.0 mmol/L D-Trp for 28 h. The non-treated group was not added with D-Trp. After treatment with 1.0, 2.5 and 5.0 mmol/L D-Trp, crystal violet staining was used to observe the changes of S. mutans biofilm formation in treatment group and non-treatment group. Crystal violet staining and confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM) were applied to illustrate the effects of 1.0, 2.5 and 5.0 mmol/L D-Trp on the dispersal of 24 h-old S. mutans biofilm. Resazurin sodium was used to indicate the effect of 5.0 mmol/L D- Trp on the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and the minimum biofilm inhibitory concentration (MBIC) of treatment groups and negative control group. Results The growth curves of planktonic S. mutans within 28 h was consistent in treatment group and the non-treated group, both attained exponential phase after 4 h and reached stationary phase at 22 h. Notably, when compared with non-treated group, the biomass of S. mutans biofilm was increased with time from 0 to 72 h after treatment with 1.0, 2.5 and 5.0 mmol/L D-Trp. And at the same time point, the biomass was significantly less in each subgroup of treatment group than that of non-treated group (P<0.05). Crystal violet staining demonstrated that values of biomass(OD570)were less in treatment groups treated with 1.0, 2.5 and 5.0 mmol/L D-Trp than those of non-treated group (P<0.01). CLSM also showed that bacteria was adhered to the surface of media intreatment groups treated with 1.0, 2.5 and 5.0 mmol/L D-Trp. The values of biomass were lower in treatment groups than those of non-treated group (P<0.01). The MIC against S. mutans was 0.073 mg/L in both experimental group and negative control group. The values of MBIC were 0.293 mg/L and 2.344 mg/L in experimental group and negative control group, respectively. Under the action of 5.0 mmol/L D-Trp, the MBIC of S. mutans was reduced to 1/8. Conclusion Results indicate that D-Trp may inhibit the formation of S. mutans biofilm and promote the dispersal of biofilm already formed. D-Trp may further help CHX exert its bactericidal activity to S. mutans.

Microbiology 1992;0(05):-
Four strains of aerobic denitrifying bacteria were isolated from biomembrane of the laboratory biofilter by selective medium. The denitrifying rates of these four strains were found more than 80% under aerobic condition for 40 hours. The denitrifying rate of A1 was highest, which was 99.05%. When measuring the course of nitrogen element changing, it is found that they accumulated nitrite expect the strain A1. The strain A1 was gram positive and spherical. It is identified as Pseudomonas putida based on its biochemical and morphological characters and phylogenetic analysis of 16S rDNA sequences(genbank accession NO.DQ836052.1). For the strain A1, the optimum beginning pH was 7.0 around, and the optimum tempera- ture was 30 ℃ around, The change of DO did not influence the effect of denitrification when it was more than 2.0 mg/L.
