Objective To evaluate the value of positive 99Tcm-MIBI tumor imaging for thyroid cancer diagnosis. Methods Fifty four suspected thyroid cancer patients underwent 99Tcm-O4 and 99Tcm-MIBI combined imaging procedure. The imaging data were confirmed by pathological findings. Results All the 54 cases had single throid nodules, and 25 of which were pathologically malignant. Fifty two cases of nodules were detected by the 99Tcm O4 thyroid static imaging, including 2 hot nodules,4 warm nodules, 10 cool nodules and 36 cold nodules;2 cases were negative by the imaging. Of the 25 malignant thyroid nodules, 16 nodules were visible by 99Tcm-MIBI uptake and were cold nodules;29 exhibited benign thyroid nodules,of which 15 could be seen by 99Tcm-MIBI uptake, including 1 warm nodules,2 cool nodules and 12 cold nodules. The sensitivity, specificity of the combined imaging of 99Tcm O4 and 99Tcm-MIBI were 64. 00% ( 16/25 ) and 48. 28% (14/29). No significant difference was found for the positivity between benign nodules and malignancy nodules by 99Tcm-MIBI tumor imaging ( χ2 = 0. 83, P > 0. 05 ). Conclusion 99Tcm-MIBI tumor imaging is not specific for the diagnosis of thyroid malignancy.

Objective To evaluate the effect of BML?111 on ventilator?induced lung injury in rats. Methods Forty?eight healthy male Sprague?Dawley rats, weighing 200-250 g, aged 6-8 weeks, were randomized into 6 groups ( n=8 each) using a random number table: control group ( C group) , low tidal volume (VT) group (LVTgroup), high VT group (HVTgroup), low dose BML?111 group (BL group), high dose BML?111 group ( BH group) , and BML?111 plus BOC?2 ( lipoxin A4 receptor antagonist) group ( BOC?2 group) . Group C kept spontaneous breathing after tracheotomy, and received no mechanical venti?lation. The rats in the other 5 groups were mechanically ventilated ( respiratory rate 80 breaths∕min, frac? tion of inspired oxygen 21%, positive end?expiratory pressure 0) . The VT was 6 ml∕kg in group LVT , or 20 ml∕kg in HVT, BL, BH and BOC?2 groups. BML?111 0?1 and 1?0 mg∕kg were injected intraperitoneally during ventilation in BL and BH groups, respectively. In group BOC?2, BOC?2 50 μg∕kg was injected in?traperitoneally before ventilation, and BML?111 1?0 mg∕kg was injected intraperitoneally during ventilation. Arterial blood samples were collected at 4 h of ventilation, arterial oxygen partial pressure ( PaO2 ) was de?termined. Then animals were sacrificed by exsanguination. Bronchoalveolar lavage fluid ( BALF) of the left lung was collected for determination of neutrophil count, and the level of neutrophil was calculated. The right lung tissue specimens were obtained for microscopic examination, and for determination of wet∕dry lung weight ratio ( W∕D ratio ) , myeloperoxidase ( MPO ) activity, and contents of malondialdehyde ( MDA) , monocyte chemoattractant protein?1 ( MCP?1) , tumor necrosis factor?alpha ( TNF?α) , interleu?kin?1beta ( IL?1β) and IL?6. Results Compared with group C, PaO2 was significantly decreased, and the level of neutrophil in BALF, W∕D ratio, MPO activity, and contents of MDA, MCP?1, TNF?α, IL?1β and IL?6 were increased in group HVT ( P<0?05) , and no significant change was found in the variables mentioned above in group LVT ( P>0?05) . Compared with group HVT , PaO2 was significantly increased, and the level of neutrophil in BALF, W∕D ratio, MPO activity, and contents of MDA, MCP?1, TNF?α, IL?1β and IL?6 were decreased in group BH, and the contents of TNF?α, IL?1βand IL?6 were significantly decreased ( P<0?05) , and no significant change was found in the other variables in group BL ( P>0?05) . Compared with group BH, PaO2 was significantly decreased, and the level of neutrophil in BALF, W∕D ratio, MPO activity, and contents of MDA, MCP?1, TNF?α, IL?1β and IL?6 were increased in group BOC?2 (P<0?05). The pathological changes were significantly attenuated in group BL as compared with HVT and BOC?2 groups. Conclusion BML?111 can attenuate ventilator?induced lung injury in rats, and activated lipoxin A4 receptors are involved in the mechanism.

Objective To assess the risk of secondary transmission induced by imported malaria in Jiangxi Province,so as to provide the evidence for adjustment of malaria surveillance strategies in the key groups and areas. Methods The Delphi method was used to establish the secondary transmission risk indicator system and the weight of each index was obtained. The data of malaria prevalence, vector distribution and intervention capacity were collected in 100 counties of Jiangxi Province from
2012 to 2015. The transmission potential index(TPI),intervention capacity index(ICI),and malaria risk index(MRI)were calculated for each county. The risk map was drawn with GIS software. Results The top ten counties with highly potential risk indicators were Linchuan District(2.131),Xinzhou District(1.609),Jiujiang County(1.404),Zhanggong District(1.365),
Fengcheng City(1.225),Qingshanhu District(1.184),Yudu County(1.171),Dingnan County(1.018),Xunyang District(1.015)and Zhushan District(1.006). The high risk areas were mainly distributed in the regions of the capitals of their prefectures and in counties with more floating population. Conclusions There are the risk of the secondary transmission induced by
imported malaria in Jiangxi Province. The high risk of the secondary transmission is shown in the areas with more floating population and weaker intervention capacity.

Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2020;18(1):24-32
Objective: To analyze the effect of acupuncture versus hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for premature ovarian insufficiency (POI). Methods: China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wanfang Academic Journal Full-text Database (Wanfang), Chongqing VIP Database (CQVIP), China Biology Medicine Disc (CBM), Web of Science, Cochrane Library, PubMed, and Excerpta Medica Database (EMBASE) were searched up to January 31st, 2019 to identify randomized controlled trials (RCTs) evaluating the effect of acupuncture for POI. The primary outcome was the level of basal serum follicle- stimulating hormone (FSH). Secondary outcomes included serum levels of luteinizing hormone (LH), estradiol (E2) and anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH). Two authors extracted data independently and assessed the risk of bias and the methodological quality using the Cochrane's tool. Meta-analysis was conducted by RevMan version 5.3. Results: Eight eligible RCTs with a total of 496 POI patients were included in the meta-analysis. The pooled results showed that there was a significant reduction in the basal serum FSH level (MD=-5.82, 95%CI:-9.76 to -1.87, I2=82%, P=0.004) and a remarkable elevation in the basal E2 level (SMD=0.93, 95%CI: 0.34 to 1.52, I2=88%, P=0.002) in the acupuncture group when compared with the control. Subgroup analysis showed that compared with HRT, a significant decrease in the FSH level was observed in both acupuncture alone (MD=-4.53, 95%CI:-8.96 to -0.10, I2=73%, P=0.04) and acupuncture plus HRT (MD=-9.60, 95%CI:-17.60 to -1.61, I2=50%, P=0.02), while a remarkable elevation of E2 was only found in acupuncture plus HRT (SMD=1.43, 95%CI: 1.03 to 1.82, I2=0%, P<0.00001). There was no significant difference in the LH level between acupuncture and HRT (MD=-3.16, 95%CI:-9.41 to 3.10, I2=0%, P=0.32), only one trial reported AMH, and no significant difference was found between acupuncture and HRT. Conclusion: The present study indicated that acupuncture had an advantage over HRT in reducing serum FSH level and increasing serum E2 level in women with POI. However, evidence supporting the finding is limited due to the small sample size, potential methodological flaws and significant heterogeneity. Hence, this conclusion still needs to be verified by high-quality RCTs.
