In an anti-thrombotic pressure circulatory device, relays and solenoid valves serve as core execution units. Thus the therapeutic efficacy and patient safety of the device will directly depend on their performance. A new type of testing system for relays and solenoid valves used in the anti-thrombotic device has been developed, which can test action response time and fatigue performance of relay and solenoid valve. PC, data acquisition card and test platform are used in this testing system based on human-computer interaction testing modules. The testing objectives are realized by using the virtual instrument technology, the high-speed data acquisition technology and reasonable software design. The two sets of the system made by relay and solenoid valve are tested. The results proved the universality and reliability of the testing system so that these relays and solenoid valves could be accurately used in the antithrombotic pressure circulatory equipment. The newly-developed testing system has a bright future in the aspects of promotion and application prospect.

OBJECTIVETo explore Chinese medical syndrome distribution laws in coronary heart disease (CHD) patients of the Han nationality in Fuzhou city.
METHODSA questionnaire on Chinese medical syndrome was carried out in 507 patients with confirmed CHD from different regions of Fuzhou city. The correlation analyses of Chinese medical syndrome distribution laws, the Chinese medical syndrome types and complications, gender, age, the body mass index (BMI) were conducted.
RESULTSViewed from elements of deficiency in origin or excess in superficiality, blood stasis syndrome was the most often seen syndrome in patients with CHD (accounting for 63.1%), followed by qi deficiency syndrome (accounting for 59.4%) and phlegm turbidity syndrome (accounting for 45.6%). Among syndrome types, qi deficiency blood stasis syndrome was the most often seen syndrome (accounting for 12.2%), followed by qi deficiency, blood stasis and phlegm turbidity syndrome (accounting for 9.1%), and qi deficiency and phlegm turbidity syndrome (accounting for 8.1%). The distribution of various Chinese medical syndrome types showed significant difference in different ages (P<0.05), but no obvious difference was shown in different genders, body mass index, or complications (P>0.05).
CONCLUSIONSBlood stasis, qi deficiency, and phlegm turbidity were the basic pathogeneses of CHD patients of the Han nationality in Fuzhou city. Syndrome with intermingled blood stasis, qi deficiency, and phlegm turbidity was the main Chinese medical syndrome pattern. The combination of syndrome showed certain regularity.

OBJECTIVETo study the changes of partial pressure of brain tissue oxygen (PbtO2) and brain temperature in acute phase of severe head injury during mild hypothermia therapy and the clinical significance.
METHODSOne hundred and sixteen patients with severe head injury were selected and divided into a mild hypothermia group (n=58), and a control group (n=58) according to odd and even numbers of hospitalization. While mild hypothermia therapy was performed PbtO2 and brain temperature were monitored for 1-7 days (mean=86 hours), simultaneously, the intracranial pressure, rectum temperature, cerebral perfusion pressure, PaO2 and PaCO2 were also monitored. The patients were followed up for 6 months and the prognosis was evaluated with GOS (Glasgow outcome scale).
RESULTSThe mean value of PbtO2 within 24 hour monitoring in the 116 patients was 13.7 mm Hg +/- 4.94 mm Hg, lower than the normal value (16 mm Hg +/- 40 mm Hg ) The time of PbtO2 recovering to the normal value in the mild hypothermia group was shortened by 10 +/- 4.15 hours compared with the control group (P<0.05). The survival rate of the mild hypothermia group was 60.43%, higher than that of the control group (46.55%). After the recovery of the brain temperature, PbtO2 increased with the rise of the brain temperature.
CONCLUSIONSMild hypothermia can improve the survival rate of severe head injury. The technique of monitoring PbtO2 and the brain temperature is safe and reliable, and has important clinical significance in judging disease condition and instructing clinical therapy.

OBJECTIVETo explore the effect of serum restriction on the invasiveness and expressions of insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) and matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2) in human trophoblast HTR-8/SVneo cells in vitro.
METHODSHTR-8/SVneo cells were cultured in the presence of 1%, 5%, or 10% fetal bovine serum (FBS) for 48 h. Fluorescence quantitative PCR and immunofluorescence staining were employed to examine the changes in IGF-1 and MMP-2 expressions at both the mRNA and protein levels in HTR-8/SVneo cells; MTT assay and Transwell invasion assay were used to assess the changes of the cell proliferation and the cell invasion ability, respectively. MMP-2 expression, cell proliferation and invasiveness were also assessed in the cells treated with recombinant human IGF-1.
RESULTSHTR-8/SVneo cells exhibited significantly lowered cell proliferation in cultures containing low concentrations of FBS (P<0.05). The expressions of IGF-1 and MMP-2 at both mRNA and protein levels were significantly down-regulated and the invasiveness was significantly lowered in cells cultured in the medium containing 1% FBS as compared with those of cells cultured in the presence of 5% and 10% FBS (P<0.05). Treatment of the cells with recombinant human IGF-1 significantly up-regulated MMP-2 expression (P<0.05) and increased the cell invasiveness (P<0.05).
CONCLUSIONSFBS restriction down-regulates IGF-1 expression in human trophoblast HTR-8/SVneo cells and suppress the cell invasiveness possibly by suppressing MMP-2 expression. Treatment with recombinant human IGF-1 can up-regulate MMP-2 expression and promote the invasiveness of HTR-8/SVneo cells.
