3.Application of lipid-lowering drugs in prevention and treatment of NAFLD.
Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine 2001;0(05):-
Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)is the Clinicopathological syndrome characterized by diffuse hepatic steatosis from excessive use of alcohol and other specific factors that cause liver damage including simple steatosis, and nonalcoholic steatohepatitis. The pathogenesis of NAFLD is closely related to Insulin resistance and genetic susceptibility.Presently the major treatment of NAFLD is diet control to reduce weight. On the basis of the treatment with dyslipidemia and hypoglycemic drugs or application of weight loss for more than one month, are there still mixed hyperlipidemia or hyperlipidemia with two or more risk factors, need to add Lipid-lowering drugs such as fibrates, statins or Probucol should be considered. The prevention and treatment with lipid-lowering drugs in NAFLD will be summarized in this article.
4.Comparison of Quality of Peripheral Blood Stem Cell in Healthy Donors and Hematologic Malignancies Patients with rhG-CSF Mobilization.
Journal of Medical Research 2006;0(10):-
Objective To investigate the blood cell separator collection of peripheral blood stem cell after using recombinant human granulocyte colony - stimulating factor (rhG - CSF) to mobilize the normal donor and patients with hematologic malignancies, through morphological observation of lymphocyte ratios and PBSC vitality of mononuclear cells. Methods Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (MNC)were collected from 15 cases of healthy donors and 14 patients of hematologic malignancies with rhG - CSF mobilization dose with blood cell separators. The number of nucleated cells, classification of nucleated cells, MNC count and cell viability were observed. Results ①The total number of nucleated cells in normal donor group was(4.31?1.41)?10~8 / kg,and hematologic malignancies group was (6.21?4.37)?10~8/kg. ②The number of nucleated cells of PBSC in hematologic malignancies group was higher than those of the donor group (P0.05).④MNC number was (96.7? 5.1) % in normal donor group counts, and in which lymphocytes was (65.9?9.4)% , myeloid (16.3?8.7)% , mononuclear cells (16.5?4.0)% ,respectively,MNC number was (92.7?15.6)% in hematologic malignancies group, and in which lymphocytes was (55.3?16.7)% , myeloid (24.3?16.5) % , mononuclear cells (14.9?9.1)%, respectively. ⑤Cell viability in normal donor group before and after cryopreservation were (91.5?4.3)%, (67.4?9.1) % , in hematologic malignancies grou were (82.9?11.1) % , (56.5?20.1) % , respectively. Cell viability was significantly different (P
5.Impact on the Proliferation and Cytotoxicity of Healthy Donor' s T Cells in Mobilization with rhG-CSF
Journal of Medical Research 2006;0(11):-
Objective To study the impact on the proliferation and cytotoxicity of donor T cells during mobilization with rhG - CSF. Methods The peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMNC) were collected from 20 healthy donors before mobilization and on the fifth day of mobilization with rhG - CSF. After the PBMNC was activated with 500 ng/ml of CD3 monoclonal antibody and 500 ?g/ml of rhIL -2 for 96 hours, the activated T cells were collected for testing proliferation, cytotoxicity. Fas expression, perforin and Fas ligand (FasL) mRNA expression, and IFN -? concentration in the culture medium of the activated T cells, were determined by radioimmunoassay. Results The proliferation activity and cytotoxicity of T cells activated with CD3 monoclonal antibody and rhIL - 2 were reduced markedly after mobilization with rhG - CSF(P0.05). The activated T cells expressed perforin mRNA and didn' t express FasL mRNA both before and after mobilization with rhG - CSF. The concentration of IFN -? in the culture medium of the activated T cells decreased significantly after mobilization with rhG - CSF(P
6.Inhibition of xathine oxidase by rosmarinic acid
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 1982;0(02):-
Objective:To study the inhibitory effect of rosmarinic acid on xanthine oxidase. Methods: Xanthine oxidase((0.1 U/ml)) was incubated with xanthine(1 mmol/L for determining formation of uric acid;50 ?mol/L for determining superoxide anions) in the presence of 20,40 and 60 ?g/ml rosmarinic acid or allopurinol as positive control. The formation of uric acid was determined by automatic biochemical analyzer 5 min after reaction and the production of superoxide anions was measured by Nitro Blue Btetrazolium(NBT) reduction.HL-60 cells(1 ml,2?10~(5)/ml) were pretreated with xanthine(100 ?l,6 mol/L) and xanthine oxidase(100 ?l,0.1 U/ml),then rosmarinic acid(500 ?g/ml) or allopurinol(1 ?g/ml,as positive control)(AnnexinⅤ-PI kit) was added to determine the cell apoptosis rate.HL-60 cells(1 ml,2?10~(5)/ml) were also pretreated with xanthine(100 ?l,6 mol/L) and xanthine oxidase(100 ?l,0.1 U/ml),then rosmarinic acid(500 ?g/ml) or SOD(100 U/ml,as positive control)(cell cycle method) was added to determine the cell apoptosis rate. Results: Rosmarinic acid obviously inhibited the production of uric acid and superoxide anion-induced reaction in NBT assay, with their IC_(50)being 56 ?g/ml and 21 ?g/ml,respectively.The rates of apoptosis inhibition by rosmarinic acid were both over 40% by Annexin Ⅴ-PI kit and cell cycle method. Conclusion: Rosmarinic acid is a competitive inhibitor of xanthine oxidase.

9.Therapeutic Observation of Acupuncture at Phenomaxillary Ganglia for Dry Eye Syndrome
Shanghai Journal of Acupuncture and Moxibustion 2015;(9):870-872
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture at phenomaxillary ganglia in treating dry eye syndrome (DES). Methods Totally 148 DES patients were randomized into a treatment group of 72 cases and a control group of 76 cases. The treatment group was intervened by acupuncture at phenomaxillary ganglia plus Jingming (BL 1), Sibai (ST 2), and Taiyang (EX-HN 5), while the control group was by using eye drops of artificial tears. The DES symptoms score and Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) were observed before and after intervention, and the clinical efficacies were compared. Results The total effective rate was 90.3%in the treatment group versus 68.4%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01). The DES and VAS scores were significantly changed after intervention in both groups (P<0.01). The changes of DES and VAS scores in the treatment group after intervention were significantly different from those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusions Acupuncture at phenomaxillary ganglia can go deep and directly reach the affected area, and thus is an effective method in treating DES.
