Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 2001;0(12):-
Objective To explore the features of polymorphism in ADRA2A gene phenotypes and their relationship to oxygen endurance in the Han servicemen in PLA.Methods One hundred and eight healthy recruits of Han ethnic were subjected to a 5000-meter race program for 18 weeks, and then the tests were done after a 5000-meter race. The ADRA2A allelic variant and genotype were analyzed by polymerase chain reaction and sequencing, and the features of polymorphism in three sites,G6412C,T6623A and C6645C,were determined with biochemical technique. The relationship between the results after the 5000-meter race, and the polymorphism of ADRA2A was then analyzed. Results The genotype distribution at all the three locations was consistent with the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium. The genotype frequency in T6623A of A/G(50%)was higher than that of G/G(26%)and A/A(24%).The allele frequency of A(51%)was higher than that of G(49%).The time for completing 5000-meter running was significantly longer in recruits carrying A/G(20.95?0.82min)than those carrying A/A(18.97?0.65min,P0.05).There was no significant association between the oxygen endurance capacity and the polymorphism of G6412C and C6645C.Conclusion The T6623A of ADRA2A was the ideal gene marker for predicting endurance capacity, but G6412C and C6645C polymorphism is not ideal gene marker for oxygen endurance.

OBJECTIVE:To observe clinical efficacy and safety of sertraline hydrochloride combined with esomeprazole in the treatment of patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease complicating with depression. METHODS:80 patients with gastroesopha-geal reflux disease complicating with depression selected from our hospital were divided into control group and observation group according to random number table, with 40 cases in each group. Control group received Esomeprazole magnesium enteric-coated tablets orally 40 mg,qd;observation was additionally given Sertraline hydrochloride tablets 50 mg,qd,on the basis of control group. Both groups received treatment for 1 month. Clinical efficacies of 2 groups were observed as well as clinical symptom score, gastroesophageal reflux disease diagnostic questionnaire (GERD Q scale) score,SDS score. The occurrence of ADR was compared between 2 groups. RESULTS:The total effective rate of observation group 92.50%,which was significantly higher than 77.50% of control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no statistical significance in clinical symptom score,GERD Q scale score and SDS score(P>0.05). After treatment, above scores of 2 groups were improved signifi-cantly,and the observation group was significantly better than the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05). There was no statistical significance in the incidence of ADR between 2 groups (P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS:Sertraline hydrochloride com-bined with esomeprazole shows significantly therapeutic efficacy in the treatment of patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease complicating with depression, and can effectively alleviate the clinical symptoms and improve depression with good safety.

Objective: To evaluate an innovative surgical approach for submandibular gland resection with minimal invasive incision. Methods:With cutaneous incision of 30 mm in the submandibular area, six patients with chronic sialadenitis of submandibular gland were treated with this approach. Anterior facial vein and facial artery were maintained without ligation. Results:The operation time is ranged from 40 to 80 minutes. There were no facial nerve injuries. Furthermore, the surgical stigmata was minimized. Conclusion:The modified minimal incision for submandibular gland resection has less wound and better cosmesis.

7.Risks and benefits: new concepts of treatment of late-onset hypogonadism.
National Journal of Andrology 2014;20(6):483-489
Late-onset hypogonadism (LOH) is a clinical and bio-chemical syndrome associated with advancing age in males and seriously affects the quality of life of some of the patients. A classical therapeutic option for LOH is testosterone supplementary treatment (TST). Its effectiveness has been verified, whereas its long-term safety remains to be further evaluated. With deeper insights into LOH, many new therapeutic strategies have been proposed, which include the treatments with gonadotropins, testosterone precursors (such as dehydroepiandrosterone [DHEA]), non-aromatizable androgens (such as dihydrotestosterone [DHT]), antiestrogens (such as aromatase inhibitors and estrogen receptor antagonists), and Chinese medicine. Meanwhile, studies on the transplantation of Leydig stem cells, selective androgen receptor modulators (SARMs), and selective estrogen receptor beta (ERbeta) agonists have shed new light on the treatment of LOH.

Journal of Interventional Radiology 1992;0(01):-
Transcatheter bilateral internal lilac arterial embolization therapy (TAE) using CDDP-mierosphere was performed in 19 patients with advanced or recurrent pelvic malignant tumors. The complete response (CR) of turner to the therapy in one patient, partial response (PR) in 12, miner response (MR) in 5, and no changes (NC) in 1, thus the response rate (CR+PR) reached 68% (13/19). The colporrhagia, pain of vulva and lump of buttock were evidently remitted. In the present survived 13 cases, with 1-year for 4 and half-year for 6. The important complications after embolization including mild lower limb paresthesia and hypodynamia in 10 cases, severe lower limb dyscinesia and sensory disturbance in one, pain of buttock in 16, erythema of buttock in two, pain of hip in one and hematochezia in one. The complications have been crucially discussed.

Objective Analysis of drug resistance mutations in the protease and reverse transcriptase gene and in the protease substrate cleavage sites of HIV-1 from AIDS pediatric plasma samples after long term treatment with protease and reverse transcriptase inhibitors for long time. Methods The protease, reverse transcriptase, gag and partial pol genes were amplified using Nest RT-PCR from 7 pediatric plasma samples. The PCR products of protease and reverse transcriptase gene were used directly for nucleotide sequencing. The PCR products of gag and pol gene were cloned into pCR2.1-TOPO TA cloning vector to be sequenced. The resulting nucleotide sequences were aligned and analyzed using Sequencing Analysis and HIV-1 Genotyping system software of PE company. Results Drug resistance mutations were found in the protease and reverse transcriptase genes from 6 patients' plasma samples. There are drug resistance mutations in the protease substrate cleavage sites in only 2 patients' plasma samples. Conclusions After long time(33~106 months) treatment of protease and reverse transcriptase inhibitors, drug resistance mutations in the protease and reverse transcriptase genes can be found in the most of the patients plasma samples(6/7), However, much less patients (2/7) were found to be with drug resistance mutations of the protease substrate cleavage sites.
