Objective To study the expression of nuclear factor-kappaB (NF-κB) and the counts of lymph vessels in laryngeal squarnous cell carcinoma and polyps of vocal cord tissues, and explore their clinicopathologic significance and correlation in the course of laryngeal carcinoma. Methods SP immuno-histochemical method was used to detect the expression of NF-κB and the counts of lymph vessels on the routinely paraffln-embedded sections of the specimens from 50 cases laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma and 10 cases of polyps of vocal cord tissues. Results The positive rate of NF-κB and the counts of lymph ves-sels in laryngeal carcinoma[60. 0% ,( 13.3±3.4)/HP]were significantly higher ( P <0. 05 and P <0. 01respectively) than those in polyps of vocal cord tissues[10.0 % ,(6. 1±3. 8)/HP]. The positive rate of NF-κB and the counts of lymph vessels in well differentiated adenocarcinoma and cases without metastasis were significantly lower( P < 0. 05, P <0. 01 ), compared with poor-differentiated adenoearcinoma and ca-ses with metastasis. The counts of lymph vessels in the NF-κB positive cases were significantly higher than thoseinNF-κBnegativecases[(14.9±4.1)/HPvs (9.8±3.1)/ HP, P <0.01] . Conclusions The expression of NF-κB and the counts of lymph vessels might be important markers to be used to monitor the progression, biological behaviors, metastatic status and prognosis of laryngeal carcinoma. NF-κB might pro-mote lympoangiogenesis in laryngeal squnmous cell carcinoma tissues.

Objective To investigate the effect of intralesional lauromacrogol therapy on infantile hemangioma.Methods 30 cases all received intralesional injection of lauromacrogol.The changes of tumor size,texture and color were monitored and recorded.The adverse effects after medication were observed and managed accordingly.The adverse effects after medication were observed.The times of treatment were determined according to degree of reduction of tumor volume.To assess the efficacy,a 4 scales system was adopted.Results All patients had completed the treatment and followup.The overall response was scale Ⅰ in 2 cases (6.7 ％),scale Ⅱ efficacy in 4 patients (13.3 ％),scale Ⅲ efficacy in 5 cases (16.7 ％) and scale Ⅳ in 19 cases (63.3 ％).The smaller the tumor,the fewer the times of treatment,and the better the results.The effects of treatment were better if patient could be treated by intralesional lauromacrogol therapy in early stage.No severe adverse effects were observed during 6 months of follow-up.Conclusions Intralesional injection of lauromacrogol sclerotherapy is a safe and effective way to treat infantile hemangioma.

Objective To evaluate the perioperative management and therapeutic efficacy of procedure for prolapse and hemorrhoids (PPH) in elderly patients with serious hemorrhoids. Methods The clinical data of 52 elderly patients (aged 60 years or over) with serious hemorrhoids treated by PPH from March 2005 to November 2007 were analyzed restrospectively. Results All the operations were successfully completed. The average operation time was (15.3±3.2) min, the average blood loss was (15±1.7) ml and the average hospitalization time was (4.5±2.6) days.Patients were followed for 1-20 months with (14.2±2.4) months for average. The follow-up rate was 92.3%(48/52). Complications included urinary retention in 18 cases(37.5%), anastomotic bleedings in 2 cases (4.2%), postoperative pain of anus in 4 cases (8.4%), recurrence in 1 case (2.1%),hypoglycemia in 1 case(2.1%), and 1 case (2.1%)was found stricture in rectum at 2 months after the procedure and no case developed rectovaginal fistula. Conclusions Old age is not the contraindication for PPH treatment of the serious hemorrhoids. Proper perioperative management may decrease the postoperative complications and improve the life quality of the patients.

Objective To explore the clinical significance of serum ProGRP in diagnosis of SCLC.Methods Serum ProGRP were detected in twenty-three SCLC patients,forty NSCLC patients and forty-three patients with benign pulmonary disease whose were definite diagnosis collected from April 15,2016 to July 19,2016,and a contemporary cohort of 40 healthy controls were while recruited.Results The levels of ProGRP in SCLC group were significantly higher than those in NSCLC group,benign pulmonary disease group and healthy control group(P <0.05).The levels of ProGRP in extensive disease group were significantly higher than those in 1imited disease group(P <0.05).There was no significant difference in the positive rates of ProGRP between the sex group and age group (P > 0.05 ).The boundary value of diagnosis of SCLC through ProGRP identified through ROC curve was 65.66 ng/L.The sensitivity and specificity of the ProGRP for the diagnosis of SCLC were respectively 90.9% and 89.9%.Conclu-sion Serum ProGRP can be use as a sensitive and specific index for diagnosis of SCLC,and the level of ProGRP can also be used for the clinical staging of SCLC.

Objective To investigate the effect of comprehensive nursing intervention on patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease(GERD).Methods 68 patients with GERD from January 201 2 to January 201 5 in the 1 st Affiliated Hospital of Bengbu Medical College were randomly divided into observation group (n =33)and control group(n =35).The symptom scores and life quality scores of the patients in the two groups were compared. Results 4 weeks after discharging,the symptom scores of reflux,heartburn,chest pain,belch in the observation group were (2.5 ±1 .0)points,(2.8 ±1 .2)points,(2.8 ±1 .3)points,(2.1 ±1 .2)points respectively,which in the control group were (4.8 ±1 .6)points,(4.4 ±2.1 )points,(3.8 ±1 .2)points,(3.4 ±1 .4)points respectively,the differ-ences were statistically significant(t =7.34,4.87,4.32,4.71 ,all P <0.05).1 2 weeks after discharging,the symptom scores of reflux,heartburn,chest pain,belch in the observation group were (1 .8 ±0.8)points,(2.2 ±1 .0)points, (1 .5 ±0.4)points,(1 .5 ±0.6)points respectively,which in the control group were (4.7 ±1 .4)points,(4.5 ± 1 .5)points,(3.0 ±0.6)points,(3.2 ±1 .6)points respectively,the differences were statistically significant(t =1 0.98,7.43,6.1 2,6.02,all P <0.05).Meanwhile,the symptom scores of the observation group 1 2 weeks after discharging were lower than those of the observation group 4 weeks after discharging (t =2.96,1 .86,7.55,4.62,all P <0.05).The life quality scores of the observation group were significantly higher than the control group,the differ-ences were statistically significant(all P <0.05).Conclusion Comprehensive nursing intervention can significantly improve symptoms and quality of life in patients with GERD.With the comprehensive intervention of patients under-taking,patients can benefit more.

Objective To evaluate the clinical experience and skills of laparoscopic totally extraperitoneal hernia repair with non-stapling of mesh and without using a balloon dissection in order to spread and popularize this kind of operation.MethodsUnder general anesthesia,32 patients(42 sides)with inguinal hernias were repaired by laparoscopic totally extraperitoneal hernia repair with non-stapling of mesh and without using a dissection balloon from August 2005 to December 2007.ResultsAll of operations were successfully performed.The operative time was 60-120 minutes,the blood loss was 20-60 ml,and the length of postoperative hospitalization was 3 days.All cases were followed up for 8 to 18 months and found no recurrence.ConclusionLaparoscopic totally extraperitoneal hernia repair with non-stapling of mesh and without using a balloon dissection is feasible,reliable and effective,offering a low recurrence rate,while its price is higher than tension-free herniorrhaphy by traditional method.

Aim To examine the role and uderlying mechanisms of Lin28 /let-7d axis in the proliferation of lung fibrobalsts and fibroblasts-into-myfibroblasts tran-sition,and provide novel strategy for the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF).Methods We induced experimental lung fibrosis in mice by intratra-cheally injection of bleomycin (BLM).Ang Ⅱ and TGF-β1 were used to induce fibrogenesis in cultured MRC-5 cells;qRT-PCR and Western blot were applied to determine the changes of Lin28B,collagen 1 α1 and collagen 3α1 ;MTT assay,Edu satining and immun-ofluoresence were used to examine the cell viability, proliferation and fibroblasts-into-myofibroblasts transi-tion in MRC-5 cells.Results Lin28B was increased in the lung of mice with experimental lung fibrosis and in MRC-5 cells treated with AngⅡ or TGF-β1 .Moreo-ver,Lin28B enhanced collagen deposition via inhibi-ting expression of let-7d,which maybe contribute to the progression of IPF.In addition,further studies showed that Lin28B promoted proliferation and fibro-blasts-into-myofibroblasts in MRC-5 cells.Conclusion Lin28B /let-7d axis contributes to fibrogenesis via promotes fibroblasts-into-myofibroblasts transition, which may provide novel approaches for lung fibrosis treatment.

Objective To establish a pancreatic cancer model in Sprague Dawley(SD) rats,and to study the distribution and the counts of myofibroblast(MF) in pancreatic cancer and non-cancerous pancreatic tissues.MethodsDirectly implanted DMBA into pancreas parenchyma of SD rats and established TSA intervening group and control group. The carcinogenesis of rats executed within 3～5 months were inspected by HE stain and microscopy for pathomorphological changes.Myofibroblast(MF) was stained by Heidenains method. Results (1)The prevalence of pancreatic cancer in experimental group was 48.7%(18/37), including 17 pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma and 1 fibrosarcoma. Objective:To study the immunoregulatory activity and mechanisms of Chinese medicinal herb Rhizoma Menipermi extracts.Compare the biological activity of Rhizoma Mednispermi extract with water (RMW),ethanol (RME) and Rhizoma Menispermi Polysaccharide (RMP).Methods:The chemical composition of Rhizoma Menipermi extract was separated with water,ethanol extraction and distillation methods.The effect of Rhizoma Menipermi extracts on lymphocytes and the effect on the metabolism and phagocytosis of mouse macrophages were studied by MTT colorimetric method and neutrol red method.Results:RMP can stimulate the proliferation of mouse spleen cells and human lymphocytes and enhance the metabolism and phagocytosis of mouse macrophages.RMW and RME have inhibitory effect on mouse spleen cells and human lymphocytes and mouse in vitro,and inhibited the metabolism and phagocytosis of mouse macrophages.Conclusion:Diffrent Rhizoma Menipermi composition showed diffrent effects on lymphocytes,RMW and RMP can be used for the supplementary treatment of cancer.
