Objective To explore the effect of action research based on group learning in hospice care module for nursing students. Methods 82 students were divided into cooperative learning group (40) and conventional teaching group (42). The cognition and attitude of good death questionnaire was used to evaluate teaching effect before and after teaching of hospice care. After teaching, self-feedback and self-feedback questionnaire were made to evaluate the effect of cooperative learning group. SPSS 17 was used to make comparison of data between groups and within groups, and t test, chi square test or Fisher exact probability 2 were also used . Results There were no difference between two groups of nurses before teaching. The students' cognitive level and attitude in cooperative learning group increased significantly, especially their cognitive level of physiological needs (t=5.398, P=0.001), cognition and attitude of death education in intervention group was higher than control group (t=2.992, P=0.004; t=3.661, P=0.001). Although 95% of the nursing students of the cooperative learning group thought group cooperative studying could improve their interests and cultivated their comprehensive abilities, only 50% could accept this kind of studying methods . Conclusions Action research based on group cooperative studying can improve students' cognitive level and attitude of good death, and it is also good for cultivating their ability of au-tonomous learning, innovation, cooperation, and meanwhile, educational action research is a good way to improve both teaching effect and research ability of teacher staffs, but in practice, students' acceptance of group learning needs to be improved.

0 05).Among them,WT but neither DN, Blank, nor Pio significantly ameliorated the increased concentrations of TGF-a1 and fibro nectin in culture medium induced by HG. Compared with DN and Blank, WT transfect ion significantly attenuated high glucose-caused elevation in c-fos, c-jun and p-ERK expression, reduction in Ⅰ-?B level, and incretio n in nucleus/cytosol ratio of NF-?B, while Pio demonstrated similarly signific ant changes only in p-ERK and NF-?B. No significant difference of GLUT-1 mRN A level was detected between HG groups. Conclusions Overexpressed PPAR?1 can su ppress increased ECM production from glomerular mesangial cells cultured in HG c ondition. Its inhibitory effects on activation of ERK/AP-1 and NF-?B pathways are involved. The further increase of PPAR?activity may have direct anti-fibr otic effect in diabetic kidney.

Objective To explore the changes of cardiac structure and function in streptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM)rats so as to detect the level of angiotensinⅡ (AngⅡ)in blood and the myocardium and illuminate the role of AngⅡ in DCM.Methods We randomly divided 30 SD rats into control group and DCM group (which received a single injection of streptozotocin,65 mg/kg).The changes of cardiac structure and function were observed by ultrasonic cardiogram at the end of 16 weeks after injection. Then the changes in the myocardium were also analyzed by using hemotoxylin and eosin staining and Sirius red staining. The level of AngⅡ in blood was tested by radioimmunoassay. The expression of AngⅡ in the myocardium was detected by immunofluorescence. Results Compared with those of the controls, the hearts were dilated in DCM rats accompanied with cardiac dysfunction. There were significant increases in LVEDd,LVESd,LVEDv,and LVESv but decrease in LVEF (P <0.05).There were arrangement disorder and hypertrophic cardiomyocytes in DCM.Then the fibrosis area of DCM was significantly increased compared with that of the controls. The level of AngⅡ in blood and myocardium was significantly higher in DCM than in controls. At the same time,Pearson analysis revealed that the level of AngⅡ in blood was positively related to the collagen content of myocardium (r =0.907,P <0.05).Conclusion Our study provides experimental evidence that AngⅡ plays an important role in myocardial fibrosis of DCM.

Objective To observe whether calreticulin-induced mitochondrial dysfunction is involved in cardiomyocyte hypertrophy induced by angiotensin Ⅱ (AngⅡ).Methods Primary culture of neonatal rat cardiomyocytes was further confirmed by immunocytochemistry. The cardiomyocytes were randomly divided into model group, valsartan group and control group. The model group was subdivided into three groups which were separately treated with 1 0-8 mmol/L, 1 0-7 mmol/L, and 1 0-6 mmol/L Ang Ⅱ. Calreticulin expression, mitochondrial membrane potential level, enzyme activities, cell surface area and protein synthesis rate were observed. Results Cell surface area and protein synthesis rate were both increased in model groups compared with control group.Mitochondrial membrane potential level and enzyme activities were lower in model groups than in control group, while calreticulin expression was up-regulated.Pretreatment with valsartan partially reversed all the above changes. Conclusion Mitochondrial dysfunction induced by calreticulin may be an important mechanism of myocardial hypertrophy.

Objective Toinvestigatetheeffectofrehabilitationrobothandontheupperlimbmotor functioninpatientswithstrokeandhemiplegia. Methods Theeffectsoftraditionalrehabilitation therapy or robot rehabilitation treatment of 15 stroke patients with hemiplegia were analyzed retrospectively. There were 4 females and 11 males. According to the group order, they were divided into either a robot rehabilitation group (n=8 )or a general rehabilitation group (n =7 ). The patients of the general rehabilitation group received general rehabilitation training at the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine for 4 weeks,3 times a week, and 30 min for each time. At the same time, they also conducted family rehabilitation training,5 times a week, once for 1 h;the patients of the robot rehabilitation group received the general rehabilitation training for the same length of time as the general rehabilitation group, and they also performed robot rehabilitation training,5 times a week, once for 1 h. The patients of both groups were evaluated with the modified Ashworth scale (MAS )scores,Fugl-Meyer motor assessment of the upper extremity(FMA-UE),andWolfmotorfunctiontest(WMFT)beforeandaftertreatment.Results Compared with before training, the MAS score of the robot rehabilitation group was decreased significantly after four weeks of training. The time in WMFT was shortened significantly and the function score was improved obviously. The scores of upper extremity, hand score, and total FMA score in FMA-UE were improved significantly, and there were significant differences (all P <0. 05 ),while there were no significant differences in various indicators in the general rehabilitation group (all P>0. 05). Comparing the effects after four weeks of rehabilitation in both groups, the robot rehabilitation group was superior to the general rehabilitationgroupforthehandscoreinFMA-UE(allP<0.05).Conclusion Therehabilitation robot hand effectively lowered the upper limb spasticity. It has significant effect for recovery motor function of hand;however,it did not have a significant effect for motor rehabilitation on wrist.
