Journal of Chinese Physician 2014;(4):447-449
Ojectvie To investigate therapeutic effect of benazepril on nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy ( NPDR) .Meth-ods Twenty nine patients with early diabetic nephropathy complicated with type 2 diabetes and NPDR were randomly divided into benazepril group ( n =12) and conventional therapy control group ( n =17).The changes of blood pressure , blood glucose, glycosy-lated hemoglobin , blood creatinine , urinary albumin , best corrected visual acuity ( BCVA ) , and fluorescein fundus angiography ( FFA) were observed before and after 3 and 6 months of treatment .Results After 3 months of treatment by benazepril , all laboratory detection parameters were no significant difference compared with before treatment and conventional therapy control group ( P >0.05);While after 6 months, compared with before treatment and control group , blood pressure, blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglo-bin, blood creatinine , and urinary albumin were significantly decreased ( P <0.05 ); According to the results of BCVA and FFA , progression of pathological changes of NPDR were significantly slower in benazepril group compared with control group ( P <0.05 ) . Conclusions Benazepril has some protection effect for NPDR to delay NPDR development and decrease serious complications .
2.Analysis of central corneal thickness in different degrees of diabetic retinopathy
International Eye Science 2014;(6):1061-1063
AIM: To study central corneal thickness ( CCT ) and correlation in different degrees of diabetic retinopathy ( DR) .
METHODS:A total of 65 cases (130 eyes) with different degrees of DR and 35 normal cases (70 eyes) as the age-and gender-matched control group were examined by corneal endothelial microscope, to measure CCT and statistics
RESULTS: Compared to control group, there were no significant difference of CCT both mild and medium nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy ( NPDR) groups ( P>0. 05 ). While the CCT of severe NPDR group and proliferative diabetic retinopathy ( PDR ) group were thicker than control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0. 05); Pairwise comparison in different degrees of DR groups: the CCT of severe NPDR and mild NPDR groups were thicker than PDR group, and the differences were statistically significant ( P<0. 05 );compared to medium NPDR, the CCT of PDR was thicker (P<0. 05);The thickness of CCT increases with severity of DR, there was positive linear correlation ( r=0. 173, P<0-05).
CONCLUSION: The CCT increases with severity of DR. Taking care of protecting corneal endothelium is very important in the time of therapeutic measure, especially intraocular operation, to decrease complication.

Objective To explore Sex differences of total homocysteine(tHcy) levels, and relationship between serum creatinine and homocysteine, and renal regulation to homocysteine in patients with cerebrovascular diseases within normal serum creatinine concentrations. Methods The levels of fasting serum tHcy?Scr?triglyceride(TG)?total cholesterol(TCHO)?high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)?high density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)were determinedin groups of cerebral infarction(CI,278 males and 160 females),cerebral hemorrhage(CH,22 males and 16 females)and transient ischemic attacks(TIAs,27 males and 20 females). The situation that patients along with hypertension and diabetes mellitus were also investigated in three groups. Results Comparison in three groups:the tHcy concentrations were significantly higher in CI than in TIAs(P 0.05). Sex comparison(327 males,196 females, from CI,CH,TIAs):the tHcy concentration were significantly higher in males than females[P

Chinese Journal of Marine Drugs 1994;0(03):-
Objective Bioactive components were extracted from Sargassum fusiforme by using different solvents and their activities were detected in vitro in order to screen potential free radical scavenger. Methods Using the assay system of DPPH,superoxide radical, and in comparison with vitamin C,tea polyphenols and a series of extracts of sea tangle, laver. Results Different solvents had different extraction rates, and extracts by different solvents had different free radical scavenging activities. Conclusion 0.5%Na2CO3 solution had the highest extraction rate and extracts by this solution had the best scavenging ability as well.At the same time, the results obtained by DPPH detection method were more stable than those by the others.

Objective To study the effect of high soluble oxygen fluid (HSOF) therapy on the expression of serum matrix metallop roteinases-9 (MMP-9) in patients with intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). Methods 66 patients with ICH were randomized into routine therapy group and HSOF+ routine therapy group The levels of serum MMP-9 were detected by ELISA for at 1 d,3 d, 7d and 2 weeks after therapy. Results The expression of MMP-9 in both two groups was higher than that in the control group (P

The distinctive LT siRNAs were designed according to the LT sequence .During the process of cultivation ,siRNA targeting the LT gene ,non‐specific control siRNA ,negative control siRNA and culture medium were added into siRNA group (siRNA‐LT1 group , siRNA‐LT2 group) ,siRNA‐coa3 group ,siRNA‐NC group and blank control group ,respectively ,and three times in each group (1 nmol each time) .After siRNA added at the first time ,bacteria was collected in 45 min (A) ,90 min (B) and 135 min (C) time points .The expression of mRNA in three time points (A ,B and C) were detected by real‐time fluorescence quantitative PCR .The protein level of LT in siRNA‐LT1 group ,siRNA‐LT2 group and blank control group were detected by Western blot in three time points .Results The results of real‐time fluorescence quantitative PCR showed that inhibition of siRNA‐LT1 on the expression of LT mRNA at the three time points(A ,B and C)were 70 .9% ,70 .1% ,72 .5% respectively ,and inhibition of siRNA‐LT2 on the ex‐pression of LT mRNA at the three time points(A ,B and C)were 70 .1% ,69 .2% and 70 .5% respectively .In the three time points (A ,B and C)the inhibition rate of the expression of LT mRNA in siRNA‐LT1 group and siRNA‐LT2 group were statistically lower than that in the siRNA‐NC group ,siRNA‐coa3 group and blank control group (P<0 .05) .The results of Western blot showed that in siRNA‐LT1 group the inhibitory rate of expression of LT protein in the three time points were 43 .1% ,18 .4% and 5 .0% ,re‐spectively ;in the siRNA‐LT2 group were 38 .2% ,15 .4% and 30 .1% ,respectively .Conclusion The specific siRNA could inhibit the expression of LT gene in vitro .

Physical training induces beneficial adaptations, but long excessive exercise may lead to severe damage to the skeletal muscles, liver, heart, kidneys and immune functions. Over the past few decades, health scholars have been searching for natural components that can prevent or improve the damage induced by hyperkinesis. The mechanisms of organ damage induced by long overtraining include immunosuppression, metabolism disorder, hormone disturbance, oxidative damage, etc. Natural poly-saccharides have interventional effects on these injuries, possibly by improving immunity, regulating metabolism and ameliorating free radical damage.
