Objective To study the handicap of hearing and brain stem function in cerebral palsy children through determining their brainstem auditory evoked potential(BAEP).Methods BAEP were analyzed in 75 cases admissioned cerebral palsy children with MYTO type evoked potential equipment(made in Italy).Results The data showed that the abnormal BAEP rate was 72%(54/72),abnormity manifests as infaust differentiation of brainstem waves in diverse level,the latencies of wave Ⅰ,the interpeak latencies(IPLS) of wave Ⅰ～Ⅲ,Ⅲ～Ⅴ of BAEP in children with cerebral palsy were prolonged,the ratios of Ⅴ/Ⅰ wave amplitude was abnormal.Conclusion BAEP can be used to find out the changes of hearing handicap and brainstem function in children with cerebral palsy.

OBJECTIVE To study the bactericidal efficacy of glutaraldehyde,and its stability and change in pH value.METHODS The carrier quantity bactericidal test,field mimic bactericidal test,stability test,pH value detection,periodical biological surveillance and follow-up investigation of hospital infection were used.RESULTS After using of 20 000 mg/L of neutral glutaraldehyde on Candida albicans(ATCC 10231),Pseudomonas aeruginosa(ATCC27853),Escherichia coli(ATCC 25922) and other 3 clinical isolates separately for 3,5,and 10 min,the average killing rate was 97.90%,99.83% and 100.00%;on the field mimic bactericidal test with MRSA contaminated gastroscope,the average killing rate was 87.84%,99.50%,and 100.00%,respectively.The concentration of disinfectant after storaging 14d on 54℃ was decreased,only loss 1.46%,the concentration loss of disinfectant on using endoscope 5,7,and 14d after disinfection was 2.64%,0.69% and 0.94%,respectively.The value of pH was decreased from 7.22 to 6.00,6.50,and 6.20.The qualification rate of 260 various endoscopes after surveillance was 100.00%.Their was one of hospital infection happened among 3 200 patients after endoscopy which were followed up.CONCLUSIONS The results show that,only under the following circumstances,namely the concentration of glutaraldehyde being no less than 20 000mg/L and the action time being no less than 10 min,timely alteration of glutaraldehyde,and regular biological and concentration monitoring could the disinfection of endoscope be qualified so that hospital infection can be prevented,and medical dispute may be put to an end.

According to the recommendations of the International Medical lnformatics Association(IMIA)on education in biomedical and health informatics(first revision)published by IMIA in 2010 and combining the actuality of the basic clinical information skills and medical informatics education of Chinese medical students,the related contents of medical informatics have been integrated into the teaching course based on current medical information retrieval curriculum and medical informatics curriculum for non-medical informatics students of medical colleges and universities was constructed,so that they can meet the requirements of the basic information skills under information-based medical and healthy practice.

Objective To improve the hardware of a medical radioisotope dose calibration system base on LabVIEW platform.Methods Hiish performance voltage-frequency-converter VFC32 was applied to realize hardware circuit design of medical radioisotope dose calibrator,and the function of the circuit wag analyzed.The output voltage signal from the calibrator ionization chamber was processed by the designed circuit.The output frequency signal from the circuit was obtained by USB-6009 DAQ and was then processed by virtual instrument designed using LabVIEW 8.0.Results Experimental data graphs indicated that the improved system had a better linearity in the low and medium frequency band.Conclusion The redesigned radioisotope dose calibrator has advantages in improving measuring accuracy,measuring range,feeble-minded detection limit and so on.

This study examined the roles of HLA-G in the pathogenesis, development and immune tolerance of hemangioma. From 2000 to 2007, 52 paraffin-embedded specimens (26 from males and 26 from females) of skin capillary hemangioma and 7 samples of adjacent normal skin tissues were collected. Four fresh specimens of hemangioma were also harvested. All samples were HE-stained and proliferative cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) was immunohistochemically detected by using SP method. The samples were classified into proliferative group and degenerative group according to the Mulliken criteria and the expression pattern of PCNA. SP method and quantum dots double staining were applied to detect the expression of HLA-G and PCNA in hemangioma and normal tissue samples. The expression of HLA-G was detected by RT-PCR. The results showed that among the 52 samples of hemangioma, 29 were of proliferative type and 23 degenerative type, and of the four fresh samples of hemangioma, 2 were of proliferative type and 2 degenerative type. SP method results showed that HLA-G was expressed in both proliferative and degenerative hemangioma, but not in normal tissues. The quantum dots double staining exhibited that HLA-G expression was significantly higher in proliferative group than in degenerative (P<0.05) and normal groups (P<0.05), but there was no statistically significant difference between the latter two groups (P>0.05). RT-PCR revealed that HLA-G was transcribed in both the proliferative and degenerative hemangioma tissues, but not in normal tissues. We are led to conclude that the elevated expression of HLA-G in proliferative hemangioma cells may lead to immune tolerance, which allows cells to escape immune surveillance and proliferate. On the other hand, the lower expression of HLA-G in degenerative hemangioma may result in immune cells-induced degeneration of hemangioma.

Along with contemporary development of life support technology in perinatology and neo-natal intensive care,mortality of preterm infants has been reduced.However,the problems caused by the brain damage have been attracting more and more attention.The long-term outcome of prematures depends on their nervous system sequelae among the total complications.Preterm infants'brain damage mainly includes intravent-ricular hemorrhage(IVH)and periventricular leukomalacia(PVL).IVH and its complications are the main causes of early death,mental and physical developmental disorder of neonatals.Thus,the early diagnosis of brain dam-age,especially PVL,has become a serious problem that we are going to face.The scholars in or aboard hao payed close attention to these markers,such as MBP、S100B、ACT A、NF-L、NGB、MMP、IL-6、IL-10、IL-1 1 、NSE.The paper reviews these biological markers.

Objective A retrospective analysis of patients with T-cell lymphoma (TCL) received autologous peripheral blood stem cell transplantation (APBSCT) was performed to evaluate the outcome of APBSCT.Methods A total of 22 patients who underwent APBSCT from September 2006 to December 2011 in Ruijin hospital were enrolled in the study,including 6 cases of lymphoblastic lymphoma and 16 of peripheral T-cell lymphoma (8 anaplastic large cell lymphoma, 4 PTCL-u, 1 subcutaneous panniculitis-like T-cell lymphoma, 2 nasal type extranodal NK/T and 1 primary cutaneous T-cell lymphoma). All patients were diagnosed based on the WHO Classification of Tumors of Hematopoietic and Lymphoid Tissues. Conditioning regimens were high-dose chemotherapies alone which include 13 cases with BEAM, 4 with ICE and 5 with CBV. The outcomes of the treatment were evaluated according to the revised International Working Group criteria.Results With a median follow-up of 13.1(1-60) months,the predicted 2-year overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS) after transplantation were (67.6±11.0) ％ and (71.1±11.1) ％,respectively.A total of 6 patients experienced disease progression and 5 patients eventually died of disease. When all these patients based on the remission status before APBSCT (CR1 vs non-CR1) and chemosensitivity (sensitive vs refractory) were further classified, the PFS rates and OS rates were 100 ％ and 91.7 ％ respectively in CR1 or chemosensitive patients which were significantly higher than patients not in CR1 (42.6 ％ ) or with chemoresistant disease (19.0 ％ ). Conclusion Remission status and chemosensitivity at the time of transplantation significantly affect the outcome of APBSCT for TCL patients, thus it can be recommend to perform APBSCT for patients either in CR1 or early stage when the disease remain sensitive to chemotherapy.

Objective To investigate the expressions of Ezrin and phos-ezrin in squamous cell carcinomas (SCC),and to an alyze their clinic significance.Methods Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expressions of Ezrin and phos-Ezrin in 20 cases of normal skin,31 cases of seborrheic Keratosis (SK),36 cases of basal cell carcinoma (BCC),and 37 cases of SCC.Results (1) The positive rates of Ezrin in normal skin (NS),SK,BCC,and SCC were 20.0％,25.8％,66.7％,and 89.2％,respectively.The positive reates of phos-Ezrin in NS,SK,BCC,and SCC were 10.0 ％,22.6％,77.8％,and 94.6％,respectively.Ezrin and phos ezrin in cancers were higher than that in noncancer tissues (P ＜ 0.01).(2) The expressions of Ezrin,and phos-Ezrin were closely correlated with the cutaneous tumor's type(R1 =0.87,r1 =0.89,P ＜ 0.01),malignant degree (patho-grading of SCC) (R2 =0.80,r2=0.86,P ＜ 0.01),metastasis via lymph node (R3 =0.89,r3 =0.91,P ＜ 0.01).Conclusions Ezrin and phos-Ezrin expressions were closely related to the types of tumor,malignant degrees,and metastasis.The combined-detection of Ezrin and phos-ezrin would provide a novel clue to predicting metastasis and prognosis of cutaneous tumor.

Objective Benign prostatic hyperplasia ( BPH) is one of common diseases in aged males , and searching for new therapeutic drugs to BPH has been a research hotspot in recent years .This article was to study the inhibitory effect of eupatorium ja-ponicum thunb and foeniculum vulgare extract ( EFE) on benign prostatic hyperplasia in rats and its possible mechanism . Methods 48 male rats were randomly divided into 6 groups:normal control group without any treatment , model group of BPH treated with subcu-taneous injection of testosterone propionate , positive control group of BPH treated with dutasteride , high, middle and low dosage groups according to different EFE dosage (156 mg/kg, 234 mg/kg and 312 mg/kg).45 days after the treatment, the rats were sacrificed for measurement of the prostate glandular wet weight , the index of prostate gland ( PI ) , the morphological changes of prostate gland by light microscopy and the content of sex hormone . Results The prostate wet weight and PI decreased after EFE treatment for 45 days compared with the BPH model group(P<0.01 ).The hyperplastic glandular epithelium papilla waned and even disappeared in three EFE groups under the light microscope , and the epithelial cells became cubical or flat .High dosage EFE group (312 mg/kg) has simi-lar efficacy to dutasteride group .EFE significantly reduced serum testosterone content , dihydrotestosterone content and T/E2 ratio( P<0.05 ). Conclusion EFE can significantly inhibit prostatic hyperplasia in rats , and its mechanism is related to the decrease of the contents of serum testosterone and dihydrotestosterone as well as T/E2 ratio.
