1.Gastrointestinal Hormones and Oxygen Free Radicals in IBS Rabbits of Spleen Deficiency

[Objective] To observe the effect of Leweiyin of traditional Chinese compounds prescription on gastrointestinal hormones and oxygen free radicals in IBS rabbits of spleen deficiency,and to explore the possible mechanism for the treatment of IBS with spleen deficiency.[Methods] 36 two-month-old rabbits with white feather and black eyes(WHBE rabbit),half male and half female,were randomly divided into 6 groups:normal group,model group,Xiangsha Liujun pill group,Lizhu Changle group,low-dose Leweiyin-treated group,high-dose Leweiyin-treated group.Except the normal group,others were made into IBS model of spleen deficiency which was induced by damp heat stress and gavage with Fanxieye as well as method of either hunger or gorge.The drug groups were administered preventively from the medium-term of the model reproduction to the end of modeling.The rabbits of each group were observed.NO,NOS,MDA,SOD in serum and SP in colonic membrane were detected.[Results] NO,NOS,MDA in serum and SP in colonic membrane significantly more increased than the normal group(P
2.Diagnosis and treatment of Castleman disease in the neck

OBJECTIVE To investigate the clinical manifestation,diagnosis and treatment of Castleman disease(CD)in the neck. METHODS The data of 2 patients with pathological proved CD in the neck,who were seen in our hospital,were reviewed retrospectively in order to analyze their clinical manifestations,clinical and histological types, imaging characteristics and treatment. RESULTS The age of onset were 24 and 29 years respectively. Both of them only presented as a solitary,painless neck mass and met the criteria of localized CD, and also had histological evidence of the hyaline vascular variant. Complete surgical resection was the first treatment.Both of them were alive without evidence of recurrence for one year and half a year respectively. CONCLUSION CD in the neck often presents as localized lesion,which often presents as a progressive, painless, slowly growing lymph node enlargement that is generally asymptomatic. The locations most commonly are the cervical lymph nodes. CD in the neck is almost always the hyaline-vascular variant and complete surgical excision of the tumor is the best treatment.

Partial pancreatectomy was performed in a female patient with islet cell nodular hyperplasia, who repeatedly suffered from hypokalemia and hypoglycemia without diarrhea.After surgical operation,her symptoms were relieved.

5.Analyse curative effect and immune indices of tripterygium glycosides on aged glomerulonephritis rats

Objective:To analyse the curative effect and immune indices of tripterygium glycosides on glomerulonephritis rats . Methods:Aged Wistar rats were randomly divided into 3 groups , Group A:glomerulonephritis model rats received tripterygium glyco-sides treatment;Group B:healthy Wistar rats received no treatment; Group C: glomerulonephritis model rats received no treatment . Results:12 weeks after experiment , Group A and Group C had higher levels of 24-hour urine protein than Group B and these of pre-experiment(P<0.05).Group A had a lower level of 24-hour urine protein than Group C(P<0.05).Group A and Group C had high-er levels of TG, TC than Group B, with lower levels of ALB than Group B (P<0.05).Group A had lower levels of TG, TC than Group C, but a higher level of ALB than Group C (P<0.05).Group A had a higher rate of 0-1 grades in pathology grade than group C(χ2 =6.667,P=0.010).Group C had higher levels of TNF-αand IL-6 than Group B and Group A (P<0.05).Conclusion:Tripterygium glycosides can reduce the urine protein excretion of rats that with mesangial proliferative glomerulonephritis , rectify dyslip-idosis, raise plasma-albumin, decrease the protein expression of TNF-αand IL-6 in glomerulus.
6.Effects of aspirin and verapamil alone or in combination on mesenteric microcirculation of rats

AimTo study the effects of aspirin (Asp) and verapamil(Ver)alone or in combination on mesenteric microcirculation of rats. MethodsAcute microcirculation disturbance(AMD) was produced by highmolecular weight dextran(Mr 480, 000) 360 mg· kg-1 iv. Arteriol and venul blood flow velocity and diameter (ABFV, VBFV, AD, VD) and blood flow state(BFS) were observed by intravital microcirculation method. Results Asp 2.5, 5 mg · kg-i, Ver 0.3, 0.6 mg · kg-1,Asp+ Ver(1 + 0.15), (2. 5+ 0. 3) mg· kg-1 iv significant increase ABFV by 11.1%, 31.3%, 18.7%,19.5%, 26.5%, 37.3%, VBFV by 12.5%, 5.7%, 2.5%, 3.7%, 30%, 34.7%,AD by 4.3%, 17.9%, 31.5%, 35%, 20%, 38.1% and VDby 2.2%,4.2%, 25%, 31.5%,5.8%,23.5%espectively, and got a raise in the number of capillaries and a marked improvement of BFS. Asp + Ver(1+0.15, 2.5+0.3) mg · kg-1 iv could reverse AMD. Conclusion Asp is superior to Ver in the increase of BFV, but Ver is superior to Asp in expansion of blood vessel. Asp in combination with Ver produces marked synergistic action and protection againist AMD.
7.Clinical Significance of FGFR1OP and p57 (Kip2) Proteins in Gliomas: An Immunohistochemical Study

Objective: To investigate the effects of FGFR1OP and p57/Kip2 proteins on the genesis and progression of gliomas and their clinical significance. Methods: The expression of FGFR1OP and p57/Kip2 in 54 glioma specimens was detected by SP immunohistochemical technique. The relationship between the ex-pression levels of those proteins and various clinical pathologic factors was evaluated. Results: The expres-sion of FGFR1OP and p57/Kip2 was found in 66.7% and 44.4% gliomas, respectively. The OD value of FG-FR1OP was 0.131±0.010 in high grade gliomas, and 0.118±0.010 in low grade ones, with a statistical signifi-cance (t=-5.497, P=0.000), showing that higher expression of FGFR1OP was significantly associated with glo-ma cell differentiation. The OD value of p57/Kip2 was 0.156±0.008 in high grade gliomas, and 0.165±0.006 in low grade ones, with a statistical significance (t=0.296, P=0.014), showing that lower p57/Kip2 expression was correlated with high grade gliomas. FGFR1OP was negatively correlated with p57/Kip2 in gliomas (r=-0.732, P<0.01). Conclusion: Increased expression of FGFR1OP and/or decreased expression of p57/Kip2 may play an important role in the genesis and progression of gliomas and may indicate a poor prognosis.
