1.Analysis on the High risk behaviors and Other STI/AIDS Factors in Men Who have Sex with Men in a Southwestern City of China
Journal of Chongqing Medical University 2003;0(05):-
Objective:To analyze the situation of high risk behaviors and other STI/AIDS factors among men who have sex with men(MSM)by examining the situation in a city of southwest China. Methods:A total of 267 homosexual and bisexual men were surveyed anonymously, and the results were analyzed with SPSS.Results:There was a common phenomenon during the process of MSM behaviors that numbers of MSM had more than one sexual partner and unprotected intercourse, which resulted in 21.35% incidence of STI in recent one year. Conclusion:High prevalence of STI and risky behaviors related to AIDS exist among MSM behavior. Thus,it is in urgent need to cease STI/AIDS transmission in MSM and other groups.

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of fasudil combined with fibrinogenase for injection on sudden sensorineural hearing loss of old people. Methods Ninety old patients with sudden sensorineural hearing loss were randomly divided into fasudil group, fibrinogenase group and combined group (n=30 in each group). After the treatment, improvement of deafness and tinnitus were compared among the three groups. Hemorrheology, coagulation function, blood routine examination, liver and kidney function profile, and blood lipid were compared before and after the treatment. Results The total effective rate of deafness was significantly higher in the combined group ( 93. 3%) than in the fasudil group ( 90. 0%) and the fibrinogenase group (86.7%) (both P<0.05).The total effective rate of tinnitus was significantly higher in the combined group (93.3%) than in the fasudil group (83.3%) and the fibrinogenase group (80.0%) (both P<0.05).After the treatment, blood viscosity and coagulation function were significantly improved in the three groups (all P<0.05).As compared with the fasudil group and the fibrinogenase group, blood viscosity was significantly improved in the combined group (both P<0.05). Conclusion Fasudil combined with the fibrinogenase for injection for sudden sensorineural hearing loss of the old people has preferable curative efficacy, and can effectively improve clinical symptom, blood viscosity and coagulation function of sudden sensorineural hearing loss.

With the wide spread of sex and reproductive health knowledge and the deep influence of various cultures, there has been made rapid progress in the study and spread of sex knowledge in our country. It is quite necessary to add courses on sexology in medical higher schools. After a systematic study, students will master the related medical knowledge about sex in a full and scientific way, which will help them lay a solid foundation in their future study of sexology, gynecology and obstetrics, male science and family planning and carry out effective clinical diagnosis treatment for the patients with sex and related diseases.

Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2006;0(07):-
Objective To observe the effect of buflomedil on patients with vascular dementia. Methods Sixty - four patients with vascular dementia were randomly divided into two groups. The buflomedil group of 32 patients was treated with buflomedil 150-200 mg,once a day for 20 days. The control group of 32 patients was treated with citicolinum 750 mg, once a day for 20 days. Then their MMSE, ADL, HDS and WMS were evaluated and the hemorheologic indexes were measured in both groups before and after treatment, respectively. Results In buflomedil group the scores of MMSE, ADL,HDS and WMS were (22.43?3.03) score,(24.43?8.72) score,(23.41?2.81) score,(70.34 ?18.45) score as that were(20. 58?3. 81) score, (29. 23?14. 36) score, (20. 34?6. 24) score, (60.15?22.49) score in control group. There was significant difference between the two groups(P

Objective To investigate the effect of PTEN gene in the mouse uterus during embryo implantation. Methods Real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR(FQ-PCR) was used to detect PTEN mRNA expressed in the endometria of the nonpregnant mice and the late pregnant mice(day 1,day 3,day 4,day 5 and day 7),with 20 mice sacrificed at each fixed day.Out of another 20 3-day pregnant mice, ten received PTEN antisense oligonucleotide at the horn of uterus and ten received normal saline to count the blastocysts at pregnant day 8.Results The PTEN mRNA/?-actin mRNA in pregnant mice was higher than that of nonpregnant mice, gradually hoisted as days passed by,and reached the highest at pregnant day 5.The number of blastocysts in the mice that received PTEN antisense oligonucleotide was fewer than that received normal saline. Conclusion PTEN persistently expresses in mouse endometria during the early pregnancy and maybe participate in the regulation process of mouse blastodyst implantation.

Objective To investigate the effect of electrical stimulation of S_3 nerve root on improvement of intestinal mucosal barrier function in rabbits with acute complete spinal cord injury. Methods Model of paraplegia was built by injuring spinal cord in rabbits. Then, the rabbits with electrical stimulation of S_3 nerve root were set as experimental group and those without set as control group. Normal rabbits were set as normal group. Under aseptic condition, portal vein blood was collected for quantitative determination of endotoxin and bacterial culture ; and liver, spleen and mesenteric lymph nodes were collected for bacterial culture and strain identification. Liver, spleen, mesenteric lymph nodes and small intestines were collected from experimental group and control group for pathological HE staining; while small intestine were observed by light and electron microscopes. Results In control group, the intestinal mueosal barrier and the other organs were destroyed obviously, with higher level of Serum endotoxin and higher rate intestinal flora translocation than that in experimental group and normal group. In the experimental group, the electrical stimulation of S_3 nerve root could improve motility of the denervated intestine, with more defecation content, less destruction of the intestinal mucosa and lighter other organ damage compared with control group, serum endotoxin level was significantly reduced compared with control group but showed no statistical difference compared with normal group, with obvious decrease of bacterial translocation rate. Conclusions After spinal cord injury in rabbits, electrical stimulation of S_3 nerve root can facilitate intestinal tract motility, improve intestinal mucosal barrier function and hence alleviate endotoxemia and intestinal bacterial translocation, as is beneficial to reducing SIRS and MOBS.

Objective To investigate the expression of tumor suppressor gene p16~(INK4A) in mouse endometrium during the estrus cycle and early pregnancy and its possible role in blastocyst implantation. Methods Reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) was used to detect the expression of p16~(INK4A) mRNA,immunohistochemistry and Western blotting were applied to detect p16~(INK4A) protein in mouse endometrium tissues during the estrus cycle and early pregnancy. Results The intensity of p16~(INK4A) mRNA expression in mouse early pregnancy was higher than that in the estrus cycle.Compared with the other 3 stages, the level of p16~(INK4A) mRNA expression at estrus was obviously higher. During the early pregnancy, the level of p16~(INK4A) mRNA expression increased steadily from day 2 to day 5,reaching the maximal level on day 5,then decreasing. Both immunohistochemical and Western blotting analysis showed the same results in expression patterns of p16~(INK4A) protein for mouse endometrium tissues as those results of RT-PCR.Conclusion p16~(INK4A) is involved in the embryos penetrating into the endometrial barrier.
