2.Clinical research of treatment effect of minimally invasive excision in intrahepatic bile duct stones
Journal of Regional Anatomy and Operative Surgery 2014;(5):526-528
Objective To investigate the treatment effect of minimally invasive excision in intrahepatic bile duct stones. Methods Ac-cording to different treatment methods, 280 patients with intrahepatic bile duct stones were divided into the treatment group (180 cases) and the control group(100 cases). The control group were given open hepatic lobectomy while the treatment group were given minimally invasive treatment of hepatic lobectomy by laparoscopy. Results All patients had successfully completed surgery and the stones were removed. Compared the operation time, intraoperative blood loss, and blood transfusion of the two groups, and there were no statistically significance (P>0. 05). The postoperative hospitalization, time of drainage tube remove, time of analgestic drug use in treatment group were obviously lower than those in control group, which had statistically significance (P<0. 05). The common postoperative complications of the two groups were bile leakage, wound infection, pleural effusion and subphrenic abscess,et al. The complication rate of treatment group was 2. 2%, while it was 10. 1% in the control group, which had significant difference (P<0. 05). All the patients were followed-up for 6 months, and there was no death in patients. Conclusion Intrahepatic bile duct stones in progress could be treated by hepatic resection surgery. Laparoscopic techniques could accelerate the recovery of patients and reduce the complication rate, and it would become a new treatment option.
3.Advances in Denitrification Characteristics of Heterotrophic Nitrification Bacteria
Microbiology 1992;0(02):-
Heterotrophic nitrification bacteria are able to utilize organic carbon sources to grow and produce hydroxylamine, nitrite and nitrate from nitrogen compounds, and most of them can also denitrify these products to gaseous nitrogen compounds simultaneously. Therefore, more and more attentions are paid to heterotrophic nitrification bacteria for wastewater treatment. This paper reviews the denitrification characteristics of some isolated heterotrophic nitrification bacteria, and analyzes the influence of various conditions to the heterotrophic nitrification bacteria, such as temperature,pH,DO,carbon sources,C/N,and inhibitors, etc. At last, the present situation and potential applications of wastewater treatment by heterotrophic nitrification bacteria are introduced.

This study was aimed to observe the effect of gold buckwheat fermented tea on both acute and chronic inflammation in mice. Ear swelling was induced by xylene. Toe swelling was induced by carrageenan. The acute inflammation model was induced by the increasing of capillary permeability in the abdomen of mice by acetic acid. The chronic inflammation model of granuloma was used in the evaluation of anti-inflammatory function of gold buckwheat fermented tea. The results showed that the gold buckwheat fermented tea can obviously decrease the rate of xylene-induced ear swelling and the degree of carrageenan-induced toe swelling in mice. And the gold buckwheat fermented tea had antagonism effect on acute inflammation caused by acetic acid through the increasing of capillary permeability in abdomen of mice. Furthermore, the gold buckwheat fermented tea had obvious inhibition effects on proliferation of granuloma in chronic inflammation. It was concluded that the gold buckwheat fermented tea had the prevention and treatment effect on both acute and chronic inflammation.

BACKGROUND:Liushen Pil is a traditional Chinese herbal formula, has the effects of heat-clearing and detoxicating, eliminating stagnation, detumescence and al eviating pain. Modern pharmacology verifies that Liushen Pil has anti-inflammatory, analgesic, cardiac, anti-viral, anti-tumor effects, and has been extensively used in the treatment of various infectious diseases and malignant cancer. OBJECTIVE:To investigate the inhibitory effects of Liushen Pil on esophageal cancer xenografts, and effects on microvessel density and vascular endothelial growth factor expression. METHODS:After reproducing nude mouse models of human esophageal cancer, 48 nude mice were randomly divided into high-dose Liushen Pil group, moderate-dose Liushen Pil group, low-dose Liushen Pil group, cisplatin group, model group and blank group. According to medication regimen, drugs were given. The growth of transplanted tumor of nude mice was dynamical y observed in each group. The nude mice were sacrificed after 20 days of treatment. Neoplasm weight was taken and the tumor-suppressing rate was calculated. Immunohistochemistry was used to detect microvessel density and the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The weight of transplanted tumor was significantly lower in the high-dose Liushen Pil group, moderate-dose Liushen Pil group, low-dose Liushen Pil group, and cisplatin group than in the model group (P<0.05). Microvessel density and the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor were obviously lower in the each Liushen Pil group than in the model group, but not as apparent as that in the cisplatin group. Results suggested that Liushen Pil can inhibit the growth of the esophageal cancer xenografts. Liushen Pil can down-regulate the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor and reduce microvessel density, which is one of the tumor-inhibiting mechanism of Liushen Pil .
