Three case of plexiform schwannoma displayed multinodular masses and microscopically a multicentric pattern of growth featuring Antoni A cellular component, Verocay bodies and presence of Antoni B areas. Clinically von Recklinghausen's disease was not observed in all cases. The first patient was a 17 year old male who had a protruding nodule of walnut size which was located at the dermis of the left flank for 13 years. The second case, a 25 year old male, had an irregular whitish brown multinodular mass in the choana for 5 years. The last case, a 56 year old woman, had an ovoid yellowish brown mass with multiple nodules in the retroperitoneum.

Korean Journal of Aerospace and Environmental Medicine 2001;11(1):20-23
BACKGROUND: Workers who are related with paint stripping process of aircraft parts can be exposed methylene chloride, phenol, chromium hexavalent in using paint remover. Especially, methylene chloride is more important hazard because of chemical asphyxia. METHOD: NIOSH(National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) Manual of Analytical Methods(NMAM) #1005 was used in sampling and analysis of methylene chloride. 4 air bases were surveyed. RESULT: Airborne concentrations of methylene chloride distributed lognomally. In aircraft paint stripping operation of 4 air bases, geometric mean(GM) of methylene chloride concentrations was 30.40+/-3.39 ppm (n=14) in personal samples and GM of area samples was 2.24 ppm (n=2). 5 of 8 samples showed breakthrough phenomenon. Breakthrough rate([back section]/[front section]) significantly correlated with airborne concentrations (p<0.01) and with detected amounts of methylene chloride(p<0.01). CONCLUSION: Airborne concentrations of methylene chloride in paint stripping process exceed the criteria level in many case(43%). Seriesed charcoal tubes must be used in methylene chloride sampling in compliance with NMAM.

The Journal of the Korean Orthopaedic Association 1998;33(1):207-210
A case of rare subcutaneous sparganosis in thigh treated by surgical excision is reported. In this 49year-old male with a palpable mass on the anteromedial aspect of mid-thigh (5x7x5cm sized) which was misdiagnosed with a soft tissue tumor initially, a sparganosis was suspected by a plain x-rays, bone scan and his past history which he frequently had raw snakes, frogs and raw fishes before but confirmed by MRI and surgical excision. This represents tor warning to some Koreans who have frequently comsumed raw fishes, snakes or frogs etc., and to some doctors because it is easily confused with a soft tissue tumor.

Korean Journal of Orthodontics 1997;27(6):979-995
The purpose of this study was to identifu the preventive and the preventive and the progressive inhibitory effects of enamel demineralization with fluoride releasing light-and self-cured orthodontic sealants(FluoroBond), in vitro, under the polarizing light microscope and the scanning electon microscope. The polarizing light microscopic group was subdivided into seven groups(Group A-Group G). The scanning electron microscopic group was also subdivided into seven groups(Group A'-Group G'). For polarzing light microscopic evaluation, longitudinal sections were made longitudinally by Maruto cutter(Maruto Co., Japan) and Maruto grinding machine(Maruto Co., Japan). Sections were examined and photographed by the polarizing light microscope(Olympus Optical Co., Japan) using crossed polars and with the enamel rod longitudinal axis oriented at 45degrees to the extinction position. For scanning electron microscopic evaluation, the specimens were coated with a highly conducting layer of gold palladium in a model Hus-4 high0vacuum evaporator* and examined in an ISI-100B scanning electron microcpe** operated at 20kV. The results of this study were as follows : 1. The mean deoths of artificial carious lesions under a polarized light microscope were Group A(5.08microgram), Group B(47.82microgram), Group C(8.42microgram), Group D(7.20microgram), Group E(85.41microgram), Group F(60.38microgram), Group G(60.13microgram). 2. There were statistically significant differences in Group B compared with Group A, C, and D(p<0.05), and also, in Group E compared with Group F and Group G(p<0.05). 3. Light-and self-cured orthodontic sealants had the preventive effects of enamel demineralization. 4. Light-and self-cured orthodontic sealants had the progressive inhibitory effects enamel demineralization. 5. The time progress of demineralizing agent no ingluecse on the samples of light-and self-cured orthodontic sealants under the scanning electron microscope. 6. There was no difference between the specimens of light-and self-cured orthodontic edalants both in the polarized light microscopic group and in the scanning electron microscopic group. *Hitachi Ltd, Tokyo, Japan **International Scientific Instruments, Santa Clara, Calif.

Objective:
To identify, for the first time, the prevalence and impact of Boosepivirus (BooV) on calf diarrhea in the ROK.
Methods:
Here, the unknown cause of calf diarrhea was determined using metagenomics We then explored the prevalence of certain pathogens, including BooV, that cause NCD. Seventy diarrheal fecal samples from Hanwoo (Bos taurus coreanae) calves were analyzed using reverse transcriptase and quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction for pathogen detection and BooV isolate sequencing.
Results:
The complete genome of BooV was detected from unknown causes of calf diarrhea. And also, BooV was the most frequently detected pathogen (35.7%) among 8 pathogens in 70 diarrheic feces from Hanwoo calves. Co-infection analyses indicated that most BooV-positive samples were solely infected with BooV, indicating its significance in NCD in the ROK. All isolates were classified as BooV B in phylogenetic analysis.
Conclusions
and Relevance: This is the first study to determine the prevalence and molecular characteristics of BooV in calf diarrhea in the ROK, highlighting the potential importance of BooV as a causative agent of calf diarrhea and highlighting the need for further research on its epidemiology and pathogenicity.

Korean Circulation Journal 1989;19(4):770-775
Myotonic dystrophy is a multisystemic disorder inherited as an autosomal dominant trait. The characteristic clinical features include the presence of myotonia, atrophy of the muscles of the face and the sternocleidomastoids and numerous nonmusclar manifestations such as cataracts, frontal baldness, gonadal dysfunctions and cardiac abnormalities. We experienced one case of myotonic dystrophy with prolonged atrial flutter in 30-year-old male who was admitted because of palpitation. We present this case with reviewing literatures.
