Cerebral venous sinus thrombosis and acute renal failure are well known cornplications of paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria(PNH). 53 year old rnan was admitted to the hospital because of headache and gerleralized convulsion. Contrast enharlced CT scan revealed empty delta sign in superior sagital sinus and acute renal failure developed within 2 weeks of admissiorL The diagnosis of PNH depended on positive HAM test and low leukocyte alkaline phosphatase(LAP). The prognosis was relativley good on the treatrnent with anticoagulant, anticonvulsant, antiplatelets and steroid.

Sympathectomy

Merkel cell carcinoma is a rare and lethal skin cancer that mostly occurs in aged persons who are over 60 years old as a dome-shaped purple nodule on the sun-exposed areas of the head, neck and extremities. The mortality rate is high because this tumor has a propensity for local recurrence, regional lymph node metastasis and distant metastasis. Therefore, rapid and precise diagnosis and staging are critical to improve the prognosis. We reported here on a 68-year old man with Merkel cell carcinoma on his right cheek and he had regional cervical lymph node metastasis, as was detected by PET-CT scanning.

Schwannoma, also known as a neurilemmoma, is a benign neurogenic tumor that arises from Schwann cells of the nerve sheath. Usually, it occurs as a slowly-growing, well-circumscribed solitary nodule on the head and neck, trunk, or extremities. However, it is rare on the oral mucosa, especially on the lip. Histologically, the lesion is characterized by an encapsulated nodule that consists of Antoni A cellular tissues with verocay bodies, and Antoni B loose myxoid tissues. Lymphangioma is a rare harmatoma which is hisotopathologically characterized by lymphatic vessel dilatation but with normal endothelial cell lining and clear fluid. Most lesions develop in infancy and are classified into variable categories. We present a case of lymphangioma circumscriptum that developed after two carvenous hemangioma operations. A 19 year old male was operated on twice at 1 and 3 years of age due to a carvenous hemangioma on his abdominal wall. At 19 years old, he presented with grouped, dark-brown vesicles resembling frogspawn. Histopathologically, there were typical features of lymphangioma.
