Acta Nutrimenta Sinica 1956;0(01):-
A new spectrophotometric method, ion-exchanger colorimetry for measuring iron (Ⅱ) in powdered milk fortified with iron(Ⅱ) has been developed. The method was based on the direct measurement of the resin phase absorbance after the absorption of colored sample complex species. In this method, 1,10-phenanthroline was used as the colour reagent, citric acid-sodium citrate as buffer and citric acid-ammonia as masking agent. The recovery rate of the method was 102%. Coefficient of variation was 5.84%.This method was a sensitive, reliable and simple analytical method for the determination of iron (Ⅱ) in powdered milk fortified with iron (Ⅱ).It was also possible to determine iron(Ⅱ) in powder milk and other food.
2.Multiple system atrophy:clinical manifestations and imaging characteristics
Chinese Journal of Neurology 2005;0(10):-
Objective To analyze the clinical manifestations as well as correlation between clinical manifestations and the new neuroimage characteristics(pontine"cross sign"and"putaminal slit")for correct diagnosis of multiple system atrophy(MSA).Methods Eleven patients with MSA based on Gilman diagnostic criteria were retrospectively analyzed for clinical manifestations and brain MRI findings. Results Eleven patients were probably diagnosed as MSA,among which 8 patients were MSA-C(olivopontoeerebellar atrophy,OPCA),2 patients were MSA-P(striatonigral degeneration,SND),one patient was MSA-A(Shy- Drager syndrome,SDS).Five years after onset,MRI of MSA-A showed stage 0"cross sign"and "putaminal slit".In 8 patients with MSA-C,2 patients reached stage Ⅰ 3 years after onset, one patient reached stage Ⅱ 2 years after onset,3 patients respectively did stage Ⅲ 1 year,3 years, and 5 years after onset,2 patients reached Ⅳ stage 2 years, and 7 years after onset respectively. As for putaminal slit, all of these patients were in stage 0.One patient with MSA-P reached stage 0"cross sign"and stage Ⅰ "putaminal slit"6 years after onset;another patient showed stage Ⅳ"cross sign"and stage Ⅱ"putaminal slit"9 years after onset, which was high slit intensity on both sides, however much stronger in the fight side than in the left side. Conclusion Both"cross sign"and"putaminal slit"are neuroimage characteristics for early diagnosing MSA-C,while"putaminal slit"for MSA-P.

BACKGROUND:There are many kinds of ways to obtain osteoblasts at present, but how to get high-purity osteoblasts in a easy and fast way has become a hot research.
OBJECTIVE:To explore a method to get massive and high purified osteoblasts effectively by comparing three common primary osteoblast culture methods, and to observe the biological characteristics of the osteoblasts from the skul of neonatal rabbit.
METHODCalvarias were dissected from newborn New Zealand white rabbits within 24 hours, and osteoblasts were isolated with bone tissue method, col agenase digestion method and modified tryptase and col agenase sequential digestion method respectively, then the cells were subcultured in vitro. Osteoblast proliferation and osteogenic activity were identified by inverted microscope for morphology observation. The rate of living osteobalsts was counted with trypan blue staining. The growth curve of the cells was drawn with MTT method. Alizarin red staining was applied to detect alkaline phosphatase and osteocalcin protein in the cellculture supernatants. Col agen I and col agen III immunohistochemical staining was also performed. RT-PCR was used to determine the expression of osteocalcin and col agen I mRNA expression.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The cultured cells showed highly homogeneous appearance with active proliferation, and they had the typical features of osteoblasts. Alizarin red staining and col agen I immunohistochemical staining were both positive, while col agen III immunohistochemical staining was negative. Alkaline phosphatase and osteocalcin protein expression in the cellculture supernatants can be detected. The expression of osteocalcin and col agen I mRNA was positive in the RT-PCR test. Compared with col agenase digestion method, the modified tryptase and col agenase I sequential digestion method cost less time, presented higher production of osteoblasts and higher cellsurvival rate (P<0.05). Bone tissue method was the easiest method and did the least damage to osteoblasts, but it presented lowest production of osteoblasts and cost the maximum time among the three methods. So it cannot be used in large-scale osteoblast culture. A large quantity of high purity osteoblasts were obtained by modified trypsase and col agenase I sequential digestion method, which can be used as a reliable and efficient way to obtain the original generation osteoblasts in vitro.

Objective To analyze genetic types and clinical features with anhi drotic ectodermal dysplasia (EDA). Methods The genetic types and clinical manife stations of 35 patients with EDA in five families were analyzed by genealogical investigation and clinical examination. Results① All patients were males in fam iliesⅠ ,Ⅱ ,Ⅳ andⅤ . The females in these families were recessive carriers. T herefore, the genetic types were X linked EDA. There were 8 males and 6 female s in familyⅢ . The proportion of males to females approximated to 1∶ 1, indica ting autosomal dominant inheritant EDA.② In families with X linked EDA, Types Ⅰ andⅡ were divided according to clinical manifestations of the families. The patients in familiesⅠ andⅣ belonged to typeⅠ , with the characteristics of sp ecial appearances, such as defects in the development of hair and sweat glands, hypophrenia and bad sights. Intelligence and physical development were lower tha n those of general population. However, the patients in familiesⅡ andⅤ belonge d to typeⅡ . It was characterized by sparse hair, hypohidrosis and inborn teeth less or teeth dysplasia. Intelligence and physical development were the same as general population. In the family with autosomal dominant inheritant EDA, patien ts manifested hypohidrosis only, and had no other characteristics.③ Histopathol ogy showed defects in the development of hair follicles and sweat glands in pati ents with X linked EDA, but dysplasia of sweat glands and congenital defect of hair follicles in patients with autosomal dominant inheritant EDA. Conclusion T here are variations in hereditary types and clinical manifestations of patients with EDA.

Objective To follow up the intelligence and physical development of 156 infants borne from PIH mothers; to study the measures to improve their ntellectual development and provide basis for the management fo the infant from PIH partiuents. Methods By using the physical intelligential development investigation table we followed up the intellectual and physical development of the infants in PIH group and the normal group at the age of one, two and three years old. Results There were significant differences between PIH gr development ( P

1 303 syphilis patients had seen their doctors at the STD clinic of our hospital in 2012 . All first-visit syphilis patients were screened for HIV. The HIV-infected individuals were tested for syphilis. 8 cases were con-firmed to be HIV-infected individual, which constituted 0. 6% of syphilis cases. 4 cases were male and 4 cases were female among 8 cases. There were 4 cases of secondary syphilis and 4 cases of latent syphilis. Patients with syphilis and HIV infections accounted for 44% of all the HIV-infected individuals during the year.

In this paper, the effects of the blend of nanoparticles and microneedle matrix materials on the mechanical properties of dissolving microneedles were studied mainly, so as to construct microneedles with excellent mechanical properties. Different kinds of nanoparticles (calcium carbonate, hydroxyapatite, silica), particle sizes (20, 60, 100 nm) and the proportion of prescription (2%, 6%, 10%) were blended with the matrix material [polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP), poly(1-vinylpyrrolidone-
