OBJECTIVE:To establish the quality standard of Belamcandin standard substance.METHODS:Different indices of standard Belamcandin were examined with quantitative and quantitative analyses according to the corresponding measures stipulated in the Appendix of pharmacopoeia of people's republic of China(part Ⅱ)published in 2005.RESULTS:The specific rotatory power of 3 batches of standard Belamcandin was —28?～—30?([?]25 D,c0.11,Pyridine);the E1% 1 cmwas 790～830;the melting point was 252～254 ℃ and the ash content was less than 0.5%.The content of Belamcandin in the products was above 99.5% as revealed by HPLC.CONCLUSION:All of the indices were shown to meet the standards for standard substances and the established standard can be used for the quality control of standard Belamcandin.

Objective To analyze the characteristics of bone scintigraphy in 117 cases with primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT).Methods Of these 117 cases (50 males and 67 females),there were 116 parathyroid adenomas and 1 parathyroid cancer.Mean age was 61.1(12-86) years old.All had ~(99)Tc~m-methylene diphosphonate (MDP) bone scintigraphy.The bone images could be classified into 4 categories.Category Ⅰ:normal;category Ⅱ:localized abnormal,which could be subcategorized as Ⅱ A with skull and mandible involvement,and Ⅱ B with Ⅱ A characteristics plus metabolic derangement;category Ⅲ:systemic,whole-body incmased tracer uptake;category Ⅳ:systemic plus localized metabolic derangement.Data were analyzed statistically with X~2 and t-test (isolated samples).Results According to the scintigraphic findings,there were 47 cases(40.17%)of category Ⅰ,35 cases(29.91%) category Ⅱ (21/35cases Ⅱ A and 14/35 cases Ⅱ B),30 cases (25.64%) category Ⅲ,and 5 cases (4.27%) category Ⅳ.Combining categories Ⅱ、Ⅲ and Ⅳ together,there were 70 abnormal cases.These patients had history of abnormal bone images such as bone fracture (39 cases,55.71%),calculus (8 cases,11.43%),bone fracture plus calculus(7 cases,10.00%),osteoporosis (51 cases,72.86%) or ostalgia(26 cases,37.14%);however,in the 47 cases of category Ⅰ,only 1 (2.13%),0,0,10(21.28%)and 10 cases (21.28%),respectively,were found.Therefore.these case history characteristics were statistically significant (X~2=11.152,P=0.01).The tumor size,parathyroid hormone (PTH),blood calcium,blood phosphorus in the patients of abnormal PHPT categories Ⅱ to Ⅲ were(14.52±13.72)cm~3,(731.67±618.40)ng/L,(3.05±0.29) mmol/L and (0.71±0.14) mmol/L,respectively.with statistically significant difference compared to category Ⅰ:(0.78±1.33) cm~3,(112.04±62.98)ng/L,(2.56±0.42) mmol/L and (1.03±0.36)mmol/L(t=-5.724,-5.741,-7.274 and -6.451;all P＜0.01).Conclusions (1)Bone scintigraphy was normal in 40% of PHPT patients.(2)The bone images of PHPT could be classified into 4 categories and each could reflect the duration and severity of the disease status on bone.(3)The bone imaging characteristic could be useful for differential diagnostic purposes.

ObjectiveTo explore the correlation between serum albumin levels and coronary artery calcification （CAC） in patients with early-stage chronic kidney disease （CKD）， as well as the value of serum albumin levels in predicting the incidence and severity of CAC. MethodsThe study included 391 early-stage CKD patients who underwent coronary computed tomography angiography （CTA） at Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University between January 2019 and December 2022. Demographic and biochemistry data， as well as the coronary CTA results， were collected. Based on the coronary artery calcification score （CACS）， all patients were divided into non-CAC group （CACS=0， n=184） and CAC group （CACS>0， n=207）. All patients were further divided into 3 groups based on the serum albumin levels： group A （serum albumin levels<35 g/L， n=30）， group B （35 g/L≤ serum albumin levels< 40 g/L， n=198） and group C （serum albumin levels≥ 40 g/L， n=163）. Univariate and multivariate binary logistic regression analyses were conducted to investigate the association between serum albumin levels and CAC in early-stage CKD patients. Differences in CAC among groups were analyzed by using post-hoc multiple comparisons and ordinal logistic regression model analysis. ResultsPatients with CAC had significantly lower serum albumin levels than those without CAC （P<0.05）. There was a negative correlation between serum albumin levels and CACS in early-stage CKD patients （P<0.01）， as serum albumin decreased in levels， CAC increased in severity. ConclusionsOur study shows that early-stage CKD patients with lower serum albumin levels have a higher incidence of CAC. Low serum albumin level is an independent risk factor for CAC progression.

Objective To investigate the protective effects of elctroacupuncture(EA)at Zusanli(ST36) points on intestinal villas damage and mucosal permeability induced by small intestine pro-inflammatory factors in rats with intestinal ischemia/reperfusion(I/R). Methods 30 Sprague-Dawley(SD)rats were randomly divided into three groups(each,n=10):intestinal I/R group(model group),intestinal I/R+EA ST36 group(EA group)and intestinal I/R+sham EA group(SEA group). Rats were subjected to superior mesenteric artery(SMA)clamping at its root part to occlude the vessel for 30 minutes,followed by reperfusion for 60 minutes to form intestinal I/R models. Rats in EA group received EA at the bilateral ST36 points(2-3 mA,2-100 Hz)for 30 minutes immediately after ischemia,those in SEA group received EA at bilateral sham points(the point was located at 0.5 cm away from ST36 point in its lateral side)with the same frequency and intensity of stimulation as EA group for 30 minutes,and those in model group received no treatment. Animals were sacrificed 60 minutes after reperfusion and segments of distal part of ileum were harvested,then the levels of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)and interleukin-6(IL-6)in intestinal tissue were measured. Histopathologic changes were viewed and graded via light microscopy. A solution of fluorescein isothiocyanate(FITC)-dextran was injected into the lumen of the segment of intestine 30 minutes after reperfusion,systemic blood was drawn via abdominal aorta puncture at 60 minutes after reperfusion,and then the level of FITC-dextran in blood was measured to determine the changes in intestinal permeability. Results Compared to the model group and SEA group,EA ST36 significantly attenuated intestine TNF-α(pg/mg:3.01±0.50 vs. 8.65±1.02,8.42±1.41,both P<0.05)and IL-6 levels(pg/mg:2.51±0.15 vs. 6.34±0.86,6.13±1.12,both P<0.05),successfully maintained low gut injury scores(1.50±0.33 vs. 3.18±0.39,3.04±0.37,both P<0.05), and significantly reduced permeability of the distal ileum and the content of FITC-dextran(μg/L:282.42±73.92 vs. 856.22±229.47,844.22±239.47,both P<0.05). However,there were no significant differences in all above variables between SEA and model group(all P>0.05). Sections of distal ileum from animals in the model group and SEA group showed no obvious difference histologically,and the pathological manifestations were villous tip necrosis, blunt-shaped and collapse. Compared to the model group and SEA group,the intestinal villous injury in animals of EA group was much milder. Conclusion In rats with intestinal I/R injury,EA ST36 points has protective effect on the gut that is possibly due to the fact it may obviously lower the levels of the pro-inflammatory factors of small intestinal tissue,alleviate mucosal insult of gut and reduce the mucosal permeability.

Objective To construct recombinant plasmids containing HPV18E7 gene ,and explore the optimization condition of its expression in Escherichia coli .Methods The genomic DNA extracted from HeLa cell line which served as a template to the HPV18 E7 gene was amplified using PCR method ;and the amplified product of HPV18E7 gene was connected to the pET-32a(+ ) vector ,which composed the pET-32a(+ )-HPV18E7 recombinant plasmid ;the positive recombinant plasmids were transformed into BL21-DE3-pLysS competent cells and the optimized expression condition was explored in order to obtain a large amount of HPV18E7 oncogenic protein .Results The fragment length of PCR products of HeLa cell genomic DNA was consistent with that of HPV18 E7 gene .In LB medium ,the expression level of the target protein was not high under such conditions as different concentra-tion of IPTG and lactose ,different temperatures and different induction starting amount .Therefore the ZYM-5052 auto-induction medium was tried in this experiment ,and the expression amount of the fusion protein was much higher than that induced with IPTG and lactose .Conclusion The amount of HPV18E7 fusion protein in ZYM-5052 automatic induction medium is much higher than that induced with IPTG and lactose .

Objective To study the effects of oral rehydration with the solution of pyruvate-glucoseelectrolyte (PGES) by comparison with the bicarbonate-glucose-electrolyte solution (BGES) on resuscitation in rats with lethal hemorrhagic shock.Methods Sixty adult male SD rats with intra-gastric tube,and cannulation of femoral artery and vein were subjected to 45％ total blood volume loss from the femoral artery,and then randomly divided into three groups (n =20 in each group):no fluid resuscitation group (NR),oral fluid resuscitation with the PGES group (PGES) and oral fluid resuscitation with the BGES group (BGES).In NR group,the animals received no fluid replacement or any other treatment.Rats in PGES and BGES groups were infused intra-gastrically with pre-warmed PGES or BGES in volume of 2 times shed blood given at 30 min after hemorrhage and completed within 6 hours.Blood samples in each group were collected from the abdominal aorta before or at 0,1,2,4 h post hemorrhage to detect serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT),creatinine (Cr),creatine phosphate kinase isoenzyme (CK-MB) and intestinal fatty acid binding protein (iFABP).Another 84 rats randomly divided into four groups:NR group (n =24),PGES group (n =24),BGES group (n =24),and no hemorrhage group (NH group,n =12).Rats in the three hemorrhage groups were treated the same as described above,and the rats in NH group underwent the same surgical procedure without hemorrhage were served as the sham group.All these rats were observed for their 24-hour survival rates.Results The 24-hour survival rates of PGES and BGES groups were both significantly higher than the rate of NR group (11/24 vs.1/24,x2 =18.087,P ＜0.01 ; 5/24 vs.1/24,x2 =6.445,P ＜ 0.05) ; the survival rate of PGES group was also significantly higher than that of BGES group (11/24 vs.5/24,x2 =4.02,P ＜ 0.05).All levels of ALT,CK-MB,Cr and iFABP in both the NR group and two oral resuscitation groups at 1 h,2 h and 4 h post hemorrhage were significantly higher than those before the blood loss,respectively (P ＜ 0.01).These biomarkers at 2 h,4 h post hemorrhage were significantly lower in the PGES and BGES groups than those in NR group (P ＜ 0.01) ; the serum levels of ALT,CK-MB,Cr and iFABP were significantly lower in the PGES group than those in the BGES group at 2 h and 4 h post hemorrhage,respectively (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions Present results demonstrated that the pyruvate-enriched oral re-hydration solution (ORS =PGES) was more effective in preserving the organ function and prolonging the animal survival after resuscitation of lethal hemorrhagic shock in comparison with the bicarbonate-containing ORS (BGES).The oral re-hydration solution (PGES) recommended by the World Hygiene Organization (WHO ORS) may require further improvement in oral resuscitation of shock and the PGES may be recommended as a choice of oral re-hydration salts in the treatment of lethal hemorrhagic shock when intravenous administration is not available.

To synchronize the radiation of microSelectron-HDR (Nucletron afterloading machine) and measurement of MOSFET dose system, a trigger system based on interface circuit was designed and corresponding monitor and trigger program were developed on Qt platform. This interface and control system was tested and showed stable operate and reliable work. This adopted serial port detect technique may expand to trigger application of other medical devices.

OBJECTIVE:To study the chemical compositions of the leaves of Iris tectorum. METHODS:Using 70% ethanol for extracting,silica gel column chromatography,Sephadex LH-20 chromatography and thin-layer chromatography were used to iso-late and purify the chemical compositions of the leaves of I. tectorum,the compound structures were analyzed and identified accord-ing to the physicochemical properties and spectral data. RESULTS:12 compounds were isolated from the leaves of I. tectorum, namely 5,7,4′-trihydroxy-6-methoxy isoflavone(1),tiliamin-7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(2),5-hydroxy- 4′,7- dimethoxy-isofla-vone(3),tectoridin(4),tectorigenin(5),iridin(6),dimethyl tectorigenin(7),genistein(8),protocatechuic acid(9),isorham-netin-7-O-β-D- glucoside (10),daucosterol (11),tetradecanoic acid (12). CONCLUSIONS:Compounds 1,2,3 are isolated from the plants of the genus for the first time,and the study has laid the foundation for the quality evaluation of I. tectorum.

Objective To evaluate of the clinical efficacy and side-effect of 595nm tunable pulsed dye laser in treatment of children heamangioma of skin. Methods A retrospective study was conducted according to 76 children patients with heamangioma of skin (including 53 cases of nevus flammenus, 20 strawberry hemangioma and 3 cavernous hemangioma) treated with 595nm tunable pulsed dye laser. We evaluated the efficacy and side-effect of the treatment. Results The effectiveness rates were 83.2% and 86.63%, respectively, in nevus flammenus and strawberry hemangioma, but there were disappointed efficacy obtained in patients with cavernous hemangioma treated with 595nm tunable pulsed dye laser. There was 7.9% of the side-effect rate in the children with heamangioma of skin treated by 595 nm tunable pulsed dye laser. Conclusion There is satisfactory clinical efficacy and lower side-effect for children hemangioma treated by 595nm tunable pulsed dye laser.
