1.Gender Differences in Personality Traits of Middle School Students
Chinese Journal of Clinical Psychology 2001;0(03):-
Objective:To analyze the gender differences in personality traits of middle school students.Methods:855 cases were tested by the Chinese Personality Scale(QZPS) .Results:①There were significant gender differences in behavior styles, talent and interpersonal relations personality dimensions among middle school students,in good-heartedness and emotionality among rural students,in good-heartedness and talent among urban students.②There were significant gender differences in good-heartedness,emotionality and honesty among junior high school students,in extroversion,good-heartedness,talent and emotionality among senior high school students. Conclusion:Female students are more cohesive and affective in interpersonal relations, and more honest and emotive, and lower interest-oriented in intrinsic quality;male students are more stable in emotion controlling, and more aimed in action.Senior high school students' gender differences are more significant than junior high school students'.
2.A Correlation Study on Suicide Ideation,Depression and Levels of Mental Health among Middle and Primary School Teachers in Rural Areas
Chinese Journal of Clinical Psychology 2000;0(04):-
Objective: To investigate the relationship between suicide ideation, depression and levels of mental health, and provide basis for enhancing levels of mental health of middle and primary school teachers in rural area. Methods: Stratified sampling method was used to draw 423 middle and primary school teachers in Jiangxi province. They were investigated with self-administered questionnaire, Beck Depression Inventary(BDI) and SCL-90. Results: The rate of expressing suicide ideation was 32.2%. Multivariance logistic regression analysis revealed that the risk factors for suicide ideation were depression, anxiety, photic anxiety hostility and psychoticism. Conclusion: Suicide ideation is more common among middle and primary school teachers in rural areas. Emphasis should be placed on mental health to prevent suicide.

In this study, we used next-generation sequencing methods to screen 300 individuals for BRCA1 and BRCA2. A novel mutation (c.849dupT) in BRCA2 was identified in a female patient and her unaffected brothers. This mutation leads to the truncation of BRCA2 functional domains. Moreover, BRCA2 mRNA expression levels in mutation carriers are significantly reduced compared to noncarriers. Immunofluorescence and western blot assays showed that this mutation resulted in reduced BRCA2 protein expression. Thus, we identified a novel mutation that damaged the function and expression of BRCA2 in a family with breast cancer history. The pedigree analysis suggested that this mutation is strongly associated with familial breast cancer. Genetic counsellors suggest that mutation carriers in this family undergo routine screening for breast cancer, as well as other malignancies, such as prostate and ovarian cancer. The effects of this BRCA2 mutation on drug resistance should be taken into consideration during treatment.
