We report a case of mycosis fungoides in a 30 year-old man who had been treated for multiple open fractures after a traffic accident. Histopathologic findings showed epidermotrophism wiih hyperchromatic haloed lymphocytes and atypical lymphocytic infiltration in the upper dermis. The infiltrated cells were positively stained with CD45Ro, but not with CD20. He had no evidence of extracutaneous involvement by laboratory studies, Skin lesions improved markedly after treatment with systemic PUVA therapy combined with topical corticosteroids for 3 months.

Aneurysmal benign fibrous histiocytoma(ABFH) is a relatively rare variant and has a distinctive histopathological features, that is collections of capillaries, foci of hemorrhage, siderophages, and foamy macrophages surrounding cleft-like and cavernous blood filled spaces in the tumor. But, in spite af the distinctive features, it is not infrequently confused with malignant melanoma, angiomatoid malignant fibrous histiocytoma, and vascular tumors such as spindle cell hemangioendothelioma, nodular Kaposi's sarcoma and angiosarcoma. We report a case of ABFH developed on the left upper extremity of a 41-year-old man.

4.Factors Affecting Smoking Cessation Success during 4-week Smoking Cessation Program for University Students.
Journal of Korean Academy of Community Health Nursing 2017;28(2):165-172
PURPOSE: Smoking cessation interventions are important because university students are vulnerable to smoking and good health practices during their university lives greatly affects their health status. The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors affecting smoking cessation success among the university students who participated in the 4-week smoking cessation program. METHODS: This study was conducted with 101 university student smokers. To identify the factors affecting the success of smoking cessation, a logistic regression analysis was performed. RESULTS: In Model 1, without the smoking cessation aids variable, when the frequency of face-to-face counseling was greater, the success rate of smoking cessation was 1.70 times higher. In Model 2, including the smoking cessation aids variable, when the nicotine dependence score was higher, the success rate of smoking cessation was 0.72 times lower, and when the number of smoking cessation aids used was greater, the success rate of smoking cessation was 1.40 times higher. CONCLUSION: Smoking cessation aids are essential to increase the success of short-term smoking cessation, and face-to-face counseling and telephone counseling should be provided continuously to maintain long-term smoking cessation.

5.The Related Factors on Cervical Cancer Screening Intention among Married Immigrant Women based on the Health Belief Model
Journal of Korean Academy of Community Health Nursing 2020;31(4):405-415
Purpose:
The purpose of this study is to identify the factors of health beliefs, cultural barriers, and intentions of cervical cancer screening behaviors in married immigrant women and provide information for the development of intervention programs.
Methods:
The subjects were 207 married immigrant women living D and S cities, and G and Y counties. The data were collected from April to June 2019, using a self-report structured questionnaire that was translated into English, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean, and analyzed by the SPSS/WIN 24.0 program.
Results:
As a result of this study, it was found that the intention of cervical cancer screening for married immigrant women were high when they had a job (β=-.17, p=.014), experience of Pap testing within the past year (β=-.28, p<.001), experience of cervical cancer prevention education (β=-.18, p=.008), and a higher perceived sensitivity (β=.18, p=.016). All of these variables together explained 22% of the intention of cervical cancer screening behaviors in immigrant women married to Korean men.
Conclusion
In order to increase the cervical cancer screening behaviors in married immigrant women, intervention strategies to increase perceived susceptibility and decrease cultural barriers for immigrant women should be developed.

Korean Journal of Dermatology 2000;38(2):269-271
Clear cell acanthoma has been described clinically as a well circumscribed round 1-2cm sized pink to brown colored solitary nodule or plaque. It develops slowly and affects people aged 40-60 years, and the lower legs are the site of predilection. It is composed of clear cells, and reveals hyperkeratosis, parakeratosis, acanthosis, and no granular layer as well as exocytosis and microabscesses of neutrophils. In the dermis, slight increase of microvasculatures and perivascular inflammatory infiltrations exist. There is just one case reported in Korea about it, and we report another case of clear cell acanthoma developed on the lateral side of the right foot of a 65-year-old woman.

Korean Journal of Dermatology 1999;37(11):1649-1654
Neonatal lupus erythematosus (NLE) is a transplacentally acquired autoimmune disorder, which is characterized by cutaneous lesions and/or congenital heart block and less commonly hepatic and hematologic abnormalities. Affected infants acquire anti-SSA/Ro antibody, anti-SSB/La antibody or less commonly anti-U1RNP antibody transplacentally from maternal circulation and it is generally thought that these antibodies are pathogenic. We report a case of NLE in a 40-day-old neonate who had erythematous annular patches on his face and extremities. Serological studies were reactive for antinuclear antibody of the speckled pattern and positive for anti-SSA/Ro antibodies and anti-SSB/La antibodies in both mother and infant. Addition to these findings, his mother had complained photosensitivity and arthralgia and showed hematological abnormalities including anemia and leukopenia, so we diagnosed his mother as systemic lupus erythematosus.

Journal of Korean Academy of Nursing Administration 2022;28(4):371-381
Purpose:
The purpose of this study is to identify the effect of nursing students' perception of emerging infectious disease, ethical awareness and nurse image on their career identity in a pandemic situation.
Methods:
Data were collected from 247 nursing students within universities of Daejeon, Gimcheon and Yeongdong area from May 18 to June 20, 2020. The data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient and regression analysis.
Results:
The subjects of this study had high level of perception of novel infectious disease (3.72±0.43), ethical awareness in pandemic situations (4.06±0.48), and nurse image (4.07±0.49), but low level of career identity (1.99±0.51). Career identify was significantly correlated with perception of novel infectious disease (r=.18, p=.005), ethical awareness in pandemic situation (r=.16, p=.011), and nurse image (r=.32, p<.001). However, excluding grade and residential area among the general characteristics, only the nurse image (β=.35, p<.001) was identified as a factor influencing career identity, and the explanatory power was 13.1%.
Conclusion
To increase the career identity of nursing students, it is necessary to raise professional nurses’ social awareness and develop a positive nurse image.

Korean Journal of Dermatology 1999;37(12):1789-1793
Merkel cell carcinoma is an uncommon malignancy originally called "trabecular carcinoma" by Toker in 1972. Although the exact origin of the Merkel cell is unknown, it probably arises from neuroendocrine cell of the basal epidermis. It then grows vertically into the dermis and subcutaneous tissue. The tumor usually affects older persons, with a median age at presentation of 66 years. Although its cause is unknown, its propensity to occur on the head, neck, or extremities suggests that sun exposure may play a role. We report a case of a 58-year-old woman who showed a solitary dusky red-colored tumor on the right upper arm. The tumor had rapidly grown since 2 months ago but there was no evidence of regional lymph node and distant metastases. Microscopically, the tumor cells were uniform with round to oval shaped nucleus and scanty cytoplasm, and showed trabecular, anastomosing cord-like arrangement mainly in the dermis and subcutaneous tissue. Ultrastructually, membrane-bound neurosecretory granules were found in the cytoplasm and characteristic perinuclear filaments were retained in each tumor cell. We performed wide local excision with 3cm margin and prophylactic radiation therapy.

Korean Journal of Dermatology 1996;34(1):38-45
BACKGROUND: Lipids in the stratum corneum which acts as a barrier prevents transepidermal water loss and percutaneous absorption of a substance differs at different anatomic sites of skin. No study has yet been done on the recovery rate of the skin barrier after its destruction in relation to anatomic sites. OBJECTIVES: The purpose of this study was to measure the recovery rate of the skin barrier after its disruption in relation to anatomic sites and also to examine the lipid composition of skin surface lipids at different anatomic sites of skin. METHODS: The study population consisted of 20 healthy male subjects. We used 3M Scotch tapes to remove the stratum corneum and examined the recovery rate by measuring the TEWL using an evaporimeter after 2.5, 6, 10, 24, 48 and 72 hours at eight different anatomic sites consisting of the post-auricular area, chest, abdomen, back, forearm, thigh and calf. The skin surface lipids were extracted using 99% ethanol at ten different anatomic sites including the face, chest, abdomen, back, upper arm, forearm, palm, thigh, shin and sole. The composition of skin surface lipids was determined by thin layer chromatography. RESULTS: 1. The transepidermal water loss was highest in the post-auricular area and ahdomen, back, thigh, forearm, upper arm, thieh and chest in a decreasing order, although there was no statistical significance(p>0.05). 2. The recovery rate was highest in the post-auricular area after 2.5 hours with a statistical significance compared to other sites except for the abdomen(p<0.05). 3. The recovery rate was also highest in the post-auricular area after 6, 10, 24, 48 and 72hrs compared with other sites with a statistical significance (p<0.01). 4. Lipid analysis of ten anatomic sites demonstrated that the concentration of cholesterol sulfate was highest on the face, that of cholesterol was highest on the back and that of sphingolipid was highest on the abdomen but there was no statistical significance. CONCLUSION: The post-auricular area showed the fastest recovery rate after its barrier disruption which can be applied in the percutaneous absorption of substances. Also the composition of human skin surface lipids, especially epidermal lipids at different anatomic sites was not statistically different.
