1.Recurrent intracerebral hemorrhage
International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2014;22(12):921-925
Recurrent intracerebral hemorrhage (RICH) is not rare, its occurrence is associated with the factors of vascular structural lesion, cerebral amyloid angiopathy, hypertension, and related gene mutation. The mortality of RICH is the same as the first primary intracerebral hemorrhage, and the disability rate is significantly higher than primary intracerebral hemorrhage. This article reviews the epidemiology, predilection sites, risk factors, pathogenesis, and prognosis of RICH.

This study was conducted to analyze the impact on human's left and right brain by mental calculation based on principal components analysis (PCA). Electroencephalogram (EEG) data were collected from twenty-one people before and during mental calculation. In each subject, we first calculated the PCA load of maximum principal component of the theta wave in four brain electrodes of the forehead, then we analyzed the relationship between mental calculating event and each brain electrode. From closing eye to relaxing event and to performing mental calculation event, it was shown that the weight of left head decreased and the weight of right head increased. These results indicate that mental calculation increases the workload on the right forehead, and on the right side of head obviously.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2010;27(4):746-752
Complex Morlet wavelets, as a wavelet function, is most commonly used in the time-frequency analysis of EEG signal and in the extraction of the instantaneous power and phase. This article explains how to use the Morlet wavelet transform for obtaining EEG's alpha wave energy distribution over time, and how to use the EEG data of mental arithmetic experiment for obtaining the changes of the alpha wave duration.

Objective:To study the application value of flexible endoscopic examination of swallowing(FEES) for the aspiration screening, the diagnosis of dysphagia and evaluation of the therapeutic effectin acute stroke patients with dysphagia. Methods:Three hundred and seventy-three patients with acute stroke who hospitalized from October 2015 to January 2020 in Dalian Municipal Central Hospital Affiliated of Dalian Medical University and underwent FEES for analyzing the characteristic performance were enrolled, and 11 cases of them were examined by video fluoroscopic swallowing study (VFSS). The results of the reliability of diagnosis dysphagia of the two methods were compared. The results of FEES for assessing the recovery effect after treatment were evaluated. Results:In 373 patients, the FEES revealed 268 cases(71.85%) of aspiration (99 cases) were recessive aspiration, which was better than that in water swallow test (50.94%, 190/373). Patients with potential cricopharyngeus achalasia got the same results through both of VFSS and FEES. FEES could provide more positive indicators and guide clinical rehabilitation treatment and objective assessment of rehabilitation effectiveness. Conclusions:Acute stroke patients with dysphagia have characteristic laryngeal performance. FEES is simple to operate and has high application value.
