1.Progress in correlation of long non-coding RNA with breast cancer invasion and metastasis
Tianjin Medical Journal 2015;43(5):566-569
Long non-coding RNA(lncRNA) is a group of functional RNA molecules, which is more than 200 nucleotides in length and lacks ability of encoding protein. The current study indicates that the abnormal expression of lncRNA is closely related with breast cancer progression. Some lncRNA takes part in regulating the process of breast cancer invasion and metastasis. This article reviews the abnormal expression of lncRNA in breast cancer and the relevance with breast cancer invasion and metastasis, which is expected to provide new strategy for breast cancer diagnosis and treatment.

3.Study on Growth and Toxin Production of Microcystis aeraginosa Strain Under Different Conditions
Journal of Environment and Health 1992;0(04):-
Objective To study the impact of temperature, light, nitrogen and phosphorus on growth and microcystin-LR production of Microcystis aeraginosa strain under laboratory conditions. Methods M.aeraginosa strain was cultivated in BG-11 medium. Growth was determined by counting cell, while microcystin-LR was analyzed by high-performance liquid chromatography. Results M.aeraginosa strain had a biggest growth rate at temperature of 25 ℃ and light intensity of 3 000 lx, while microcystin-LR production contents reached maximum at 20 ℃ and 5 000 lx respectively. Under the phosphorus-fixed condition, M. aeraginosa amount and mircrocystin-LR content increased by nitrogen concentration and reached the peak when the nitrogen concentration was 650.0 ?mol/L. But higher concentration of nitrogen could probably restrain the cell growth and toxin production. Under the nitrogen-fixed condition, M. aeraginosa strain grew slowly at phosphorus concentration of 1.43 ?mol/L, but had a higher growth rate when phosphorus concentration was 6.50 ?mol/L. No significant change was found with the increase of phosphorus concentration. And almost similar contents of microcystin-LR produced by M. aeraginosa were observed at different phosphorus concentrations. Positive correlations between total microcystin-LR concentrations and chlorophyll-a contents and M. aeraginosa cell densities were found. Conclusion The optimum conditions for growth and toxin production of M. aeraginosa are not the same. Phosphorus is a probable limitation nutrient factor, and a low concentration will satisfy the growth and toxin production of M. aeraginos. The N∶P atomic ratio at 100∶1 was determined as the optimum for growth and toxin production. The total microcystin-LR concentration can be forecasted by M. aeraginosa cell density or chlorophyll-a content.
4.Role of retrograde messenger NO in long-term potentiation
Basic & Clinical Medicine 2006;0(09):-
As an important messenger molecule, NO exists in both peripheral and central nervous system (CNS). Recently, NO was proved to play a critical role in CNS, especially in synaptic plasticity. As a kind of retrograde messenger, it plays some roles in the induction and maintenance of LTP through activation of downstream pathway or molecules, such as NO-cGMP-PKG, ADPRT and C-FOS.

AIMTo further elucidate the role of agmatine on the pharmacological effects of opioids. METHODSThe effect of L-arginine and L-arginine decarboxylase(L-ADC) antibodies on pain threshold, morphine ntinociception and tolerance were investigated in mouse acetic acid writhing test, mouse radiant heat tail flick test and mouse hot plate test. RESULTSIn mouse acetic acid writhing test, intracerebroventricular injection of L-arginine dose-ependently inhibited the writhing of mice compared with saline control. L-arginine did not influence the tail flick latency itself in mouse radiant heat tail flick test, but enhanced antinociceptive effect of morphine in a dose-dependent manner. The possible maximal analgesia percentage of morphine 2.5 mg*kg-1 was increased from 23% to 71%. Furthermore, L-arginine inhibited acute tolerance induced by morphine 100 mg*kg-1in mouse radiant heat tail flick test. The effect of L-arginine as mentioned above could be antagonized by idazoxan (3 mg*kg-1, ip), which is a selective antagonist of imidazoline receptors. L-ADC specific antibodies inhibited morphine antinociception and promoted the development of tolerance to morphine in mouse radiant heat tail flick test and 55℃ hot plate test. CONCLUSIONL-Arginine and L-ADC play important roles in the formation of pain threshold, morphine antinociception and tolerance.

Objective To compare the diagnostic value of 3.0T and 1.5T magnetic resonance diffusion weighted imaging (DWI) in lymph node metastasis of gastric cancer. Methods Preoperative magnetic resonance examination was performed on 50 patients with gastric cancer by using Siemens 1.5T and 3.0T superconducting magnetic resonance imaging system, and the outcomes were compared with postoperative pathological results. The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of the diagnosis in lymph node metastasis of gastric cancer were analyzed statistically. The apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values of lymph nodes were also evaluated for 1.5T and 3.0T magnetic resonance DWI. Results The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of the diagnosis on lymph node metastasis of gastric cancer by 1.5T magnetic resonance DWI were 79.4 %, 81.4%and 80.0%, respectively, and the corresponding percentages of 3.0T magnetic resonance DWI were 84.6%, 79.7%and 83.1%. The accuracy rate of 3.0T magnetic resonance DWI was slightly higher than that of 1.5T in the diagnosis of lymph node metastasis of gastric cancer (χ2=5.451, P=0.020), but there were no significant differences in the sensitivity and specificity between the two groups (both P> 0.05). The accuracy rate of 1.5T magnetic resonance DWI in the diagnosis of lymph node metastasis of gastric cancer was less effective than that of the pathological diagnosis (χ2=7.410, P=0.007), but there was no significant difference between 3.0T magnetic resonance DWI and pathological diagnosis (χ2=2.450, P=0.120). The mean ADC values of metastatic and non-metastatic lymph nodes detected by 1.5T magnetic resonance DWI were (1.036 ±0.203) × 10-3 mm2/s and (1.476 ± 0.215) × 10-3 mm2/s (t= 6.813, P< 0.001), meanwhile, the corresponding values detected by 3.0T magnetic resonance DWI were (1.154 ± 0.183) × 10-3 mm2/s and (1.502 ± 0.264) × 10-3 mm2/s (t= 5.991, P< 0.001). The coincidence of the two methods for ADC value was favorable. Conclusions The diagnostic effect of 3.0T magnetic resonance DWI on lymph node metastasis of gastric cancer is better than that of 1.5T. ADC value provides a reliable imaging quantitative indicator for the determination of metastatic lymph nodes in gastric cancer, which plays a significant role in the clinical treatment options and prognosis of patients.

Mice was stimulated by peptidoglycan from Lactobacillus sp and detect cytokines production。It was found that PG induced the production of inflammatory cytokines (IL-1,TNF-? in peritoneal macrophages,IFN-? in spleen cell)and did not induce the IL-2 production in spleen cell. Affymetrix MOE430A genechip was used to analyze changed gene expression of immune cells. It was found that expression of cytokines and related genes were changed under peptidoglycan administration. This might induced by activation of TLR-NF-?B signal pathway.
