2.Research progress on cancer treatment targeting the Hippo-YAP signaling pathway
Chinese Journal of Clinical Oncology 2015;(17):876-880
Hippo pathway is a signaling network involved in the regulation of cell proliferation and apoptosis, whereas Yes-asso-ciated protein (YAP) is the major effector of the pathway. YAP is a candidate oncogene, and dysregulation of the Hippo-YAP pathway is closely related to the occurrence and progression of various tumors. Therefore, Hippo-YAP may provide a novel therapeutic target for cancer treatment. Some drugs or compounds that regulate the Hippo-YAP pathway activity, such as verteporfin, can inhibit the occur-rence or growth of tumors. This review mainly focuses on the progress of studies on the use of Hippo-YAP signaling pathway as a tar-get of cancer treatment strategies.
3. Effect of CART55-102 protein vaccine on morphine analgesia and tolerance
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2010;29(4):349-352
Objective: To study the effect of cocaine- and amphetamine-regulated transcript (CART) protein vaccine on morphine analgesia and tolerance. Methods: The expression plasmid pGEX-4T3-CART was constructed by gene cloning. The CART protein was purified by glutathione s-transferase (GST)-affinity chromatography. The experiment included 6 groups: blank control, normal saline (NS) GST + Freund's adjuvant, and CART protein vaccine (5 μg, 10 μg and 20 μg) groups. After immunization for twice, all groups were tested in hot plate. Morphine analgesia effect was evaluated through s. c. injection with 6 mg/kg morphine solution, calculated by MPE%. Then morphine tolerance model was established, and the tolerance to morphine was tested by s. c. injection with 6 mg/kg morphine 12 h after the last injection. Results: CART vaccine itself had no pronounced effect on the pain threshold (P>0.05). CART vaccine at 10 μg significantly depressed the analgesic effect of morphine analgesia (P<0.05). Compared with NS group, vaccine groups showed a potential antagonizing tolerance effect, especially in the 10 μg group, with the MPE% significantly increased (P<0. 05). Conclusion: CART vaccine itself has no influence on the pain response; however, it can impair the analgesia effect of morphine and can antagonize the analgesia tolerance to morphine.
4.Differentiation of Candida Species by PCR-SSCP Fingerprinting Analysis
Microbiology 1992;0(06):-
Thirty strains of seven Candida species from CICC(China Center of Industrial Culture Collection)were studied. The strains were differentiated by ITS1 region PCR-SSCP fingerprinting analysis and ITS2 region PCR-SSCP fingerprinting analysis. Results showed that both ITS1 region and ITS2 region were able to differentiate the seven species of Candida clearly. Contrasting the maps and effects on the identification of Candida species of ITS1 region with that of ITS2 region, result indicated that on the identification of Candida species the application of ITS2 region was better than ITS1 region.

Modern Clinical Nursing 2015;(5):17-19
Objective To observe the effect of lattice silver wound repair dressings on large-area abrased wounds . Methods A total of 60 patients with large-area skin abrasions were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group with 30 cases in each group. Both groups were treated with the same antibacterial treatment and nutritional support treatment. The control group received conventional general routine dressings and the observation group had the silver wound repair dressings every day. The two groups were compared in terms of the wound pain, wound infection rate, time for wound healing and scars of patients. Results The wound healing time in the observation group was significantly shortened (P<0.01). The scaring of the observation group was better than that in the control group (P<0.01). The pain degree and the exudation rate were both significantly lower in the observation group than those of the control group (P<0.01), and wound infection rate was lower than that of control group. Conclusions The lattice silver wound repair dressing can effectively promote the wound healing, shorten hospitalization duration, promote the patient recovery soon. It is simple and worthy of clinical popularization.

Objective To investigate the feasibility of double low scanning technique using the gem spectrum CT coronary artery angiography among the patients at low heart rate≤ 65 beats per minute. Methods This prospective study was approved by the institutional re-view board with patient informed consent.Ninty patients (heart rate≤65 beats per minute)were randomly devided into 3 groups.Group A un-derwent spectral CCTA with iodixanol (Visipaque,270mg/mL)and low scanning technique,Group B conventional CCTA with iohexol (Omnipaque,370 mg/mL)and Group C conventional CCTA with iodixanol (Visipaque,270 mg/mL),Routine scan mode was used in Group B and Group C.Prospective ECG gating mode was used in all groups.120kVp polychromatic images with FBP algorithm (Group B and Group C)were reconstructed for conventional CCTA,60 keV monochromatic images with FBP algorithm (Group A) or with a fixed blending level (40%)of ASiR (Group A1 )were reconstructed for spectral CCTA.Compared the image quality of four groups and ED in three groups. Results The difference was ststistically significant between four groups with the CT value,im-age noise,SNR and CNR of coronary (each P<0.001.Group A1 has the highest SNR and CNR.Group C has the lowest image noise. There were no significant difference of coronary score between group A1 and group B(χ2=0.01,P=1.000)).There was significant difference of coronary score between group A and group B (χ2=22.428,P<0.001),group B and group C (χ2=39.005,P<0.001), group A1 and group A (χ2=21.854,P<0.001).Effective radiation dose in the group A(ED2.60±0.26 mSv)was lower than that of group B (ED3.02±0.36 mSv)(t=3.738,P=0.001)and group C (ED3.11±0.23)(t=3.725,P=0.001).Conclusion Double low scan-ning technique using the gem spectrum CT coronary artery angiography with 40% blending level of ASiR is able to provide better im-age quality than using conventional CCTA and to reduce the effective radiation dose and contrast dose.

AIM: To investigate pharmacokinetics of salvia miltiorrhiza injection in rats. METHODS: A dose of salvia miltiorrhiza injection (standardized as Dhpl 40 mg?kg -1 , iv) was given in rats and plasma Dhpl concentrations were determined by a HPLC method. The 3p87 software was used to calculate the pharmacokinetic parameters of Dhpl. RESULTS: The main parameters were as follows: T 1/2? = 0.29 ? 0.23 h, T 1/2? = 1.75 ? 0.99 h, V d= 0.83 ? 0.70 L?kg -1 , Cl= 0.33 ? 0.16 L?h -1 ?kg -1 , and AUC (0-inf) =149?66 mg?h?L -1 . CONCLUSION: Data of the blood concentration time of salvia miltiorrhiza injection can be fitted to a two compartment open model.
