1.Progress of diagnosis and treatment of asparaginase associated pancreatitis in children
Chinese Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2016;31(15):1140-1143
Asparaginase(ASP) is an important drug in the treatment of childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia and non-Hodgkin lymphoma.Asparaginase associated pancreatitis (AAP) is the main treatment-adverse events of asparaginase. After reviewing the recent foreign literatures about AAP and the Chinese expert about polyethylene glycol conjugated asparaginase (PEG-ASP) in the treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukemia and malignant lymphoma with asparaginase, conclude and analysis the data about childhood AAP and show the epidemiology, clinical features, early diagnosis and effective treatment of children with AAP.Make clinical compare of L-asparaginase and PEG-ASP.Based on the full grasp of the relevant data, analyzing, introducing and integrating, this may be helpful to the diagnosis and treatment of childhood AAP.
2.Assessment and Treatment of the Upper Extremity Dysfunction in Children with Cerebral Palsy (review)
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2007;13(12):1121-1123
Since upper limb function disorder exists in many children with cerebral palsy, it is improtant to assess and treat the disorder of the upper extremities. The common assessments include muscle tone, range of motion and upper extremity assessment. The goal of therapy is to decrease the muscle tone and increase the range of motion. In addition we should emphasize the functional ability and purposeful skill of the upper extremity.
4.Research progress of vaccine therapy in non-small cell lung cancer
Chinese Journal of Clinical Oncology 2015;(15):778-782
Immunotherapy, particularly lung cancer vaccine therapy, has advantages of less side effects and low costs over classi-cal therapies of lung cancer, such as surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy, as well as the relatively new molecular targeting therapy. PhaseⅢclinical trial for many kinds of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) vaccines is ongoing based on deeper understanding of im-mune system and the expression of tumor antigens. This review summarizes the development of NSCLC vaccines.
5.Literature Study of Chinese Medicine in Treating Malignant Ascites Based on CNKI
Chinese Journal of Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine 2014;(4):22-25
Objective To summarize the herbal medication in treating malignant ascites based on literature. Methods TCM literatures concerning malignant ascites from CNKI (1989.1-2013.3) were retrieved. The herbs and those category, nature, flavor and meridian distribution were summarized by frequency method. The couple herbs were analyzed by hierarchical cluster analysis. Results Fifty-five qualified documents and 56 effective prescriptions were collected. A total of 164 herbs were used (668 frequencies). Six groups of herbs, cumulative relative frequency (CRF) of 61.83%, were used frequently in order as follows:the herbs for promoting diuresis and resolving dampness, invigorating qi, invigorating the blood and removing blood stasis, regulating qi, eliminating heat and toxin, excreting drastically water. The most frequently used herbs (>6 frequencies, CRF 53.74%) had 25 species. The first three places were the herbs for promoting diuresis and resolving dampness (5 species), invigorating qi (4 species), invigorating the blood and removing blood stasis (3 species). These herbs were mostly of warm nature (260 frequencies, 38.92%). The total frequency of herb-nature was 1055 and the sweet (354 frequencies, 33.55%), bitter (284 frequencies, 26.92%) and pungent (268 frequencies, 25.40%) herbs were used more frequently. The total frequency of meridian distribution was 1747 and these herbs were mostly attributed to spleen, lung, liver, and kidney meridians (>200 frequencies). The most frequently used couple-herbs included Poria and Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae, Radix Astragali and Ramulus Cinnamomi, etc. Conclusion Invigorating qi was emphasized in treating malignant ascites, combined with promoting diuresis. The herbs of the warm and cold nature, the sweet, bitter and pungent flavor, spleen, lung, liver and kidney meridians were most frequently used.
6.Eight therapies of resolving phlegm and dispersing nodules in treatment of gastric cancer: experience from Professor Wei Pin-kang.
Journal of Integrative Medicine 2011;9(10):1066-9
Professor Wei Pin-kang developed phlegm theory for gastric cancer. He adopted the therapy of resolving phlegm and dispersing nodules as the fundamental therapy for gastric cancer. As the symptoms may vary due to the changes of etiology and pathogenesis at different stages of gastric cancer, he further formulated eight therapies based on the fundamental therapy, namely, resolving phlegm and regulating stomach, resolving phlegm and removing stagnancy, resolving phlegm and clearing heat toxin, resolving phlegm and relieving qi depression, resolving phlegm and dredging collaterals, resolving phlegm and removing blood stasis, resolving phlegm and promoting diuresis, and resolving phlegm to soften abdominal mass. These therapies showed satisfactory effects following the principle of simultaneous treatment of disease and symptoms.
7.Clinical research of effect of umbilical Chinese materia medica paste on endotoxemia of cirrhosis patients
China Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy 2005;0(03):-
Objective:To investigate the efficacy and security of umbilical Chinese materia medica paste on the endotoxemia of cirrhosis patients. Methods:Based on the TAL blood cell matrix color test,80 cases of cirrhosis patients with endotoxemia positive were divided into two groups by randomly number:40 in the received regular treatment period for both groups was one month. The clinical symptoms was given to the level of treatments;Additionally,Chinese materia medica paste on umbilicus was given to the treatment group, the endotoxin, ammonia and complement component 3 in serum, cruor function, liver function, and blood routine test were statistical analysised and efficacy compared in both groups after treatment. Results:After treatment, endotoxin decreased significantly in the treatment group and the control group(P
8.Analysis of Risk Factors of Recurrent Inguinal Hernia by Cox Proportional Hazard Regression Model
Chinese Journal of Bases and Clinics in General Surgery 2003;0(03):-
Objective To retrospectively analyze the risk factors of recurrent groin hernia. Methods Data came from all hernia repairs recorded in our hospital between 1991 and 2001. A total of 1 082 cases of groin hernia was analyzed through Cox proportional hazard model to determine the relative risks between recurrence and mode of admission, types of groin hernia, repair methods (traditional/tension free hernioplasty), and post operative complications. Results From 1991 to 2001,1 082 groin hernia operations were performed in our hospital, 88.9% for primary hernia and 11.2% for recurrent hernia. As compared with traditional hernia repair methods, Lichtenstein’s tension free hernioplasty technique had less relative risk for recurrent hernia repair than that for primary hernia repair. Postoperative complications and indirect hernia were linked to an increased relative risk for recurrence. Conclusion There are many factors affecting the recurrence of inguinal hernia, but the use of tension free hernia repair may decrease re recurrence of recurrent hernia.
9.Imbalance of Th_1/Th_2 cells in thyroid tissues of patients with autoimmune thyroid diseases
Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 1985;0(02):-
Objective To investigate the role of the imbalance of Th 1/Th 2 cells in the pathogenesis of autoimmune thyroid diseases (AITD). Methods Thirteen patients with Graves′ disease (GD), 12 patients with Hashimoto′s thyroiditis (HT) were recruited for the study, and 8 patients with non-toxic nodular goiter served as controls. The expressions of interferon-? (IFN-?) and interleukin-4 (IL-4) of intrathyroidal mononuclear cells (ITMC), representative cytokines of Th 1 and Th 2 cells respectively, were assayed by immunohistochemical technique. Thyroid stimulating antibody (TSAb), thyroglobulin antibody (TGAb) and thyroid microsome antibody (TMAb) in peripheral blood were detected by routine methods, and their correlations with the IFN-? and IL-4 were analyzed. Results (1) Compared with the controls, the IL-4 and IFN-? expressions of ITMC in GD and HT patients were remarkably increased (both P
